also like. why is it always childes character or lore getting shafted with the Critical mistranslations im. when will they learn 💀
the actual title for surtalogi aka "foul" is a completely different word from foul legacy in like. every single translation except eng. every single version got it better (its along the lines of "knight/rider of evil" across the board). and now ppl will be running off with the omg foul like foul legacy thing bc the translation literally lies to u what the fuck 😭😭
also like? its not like the actual title lacks connections with childe either bc im pretty sure ive seen it pointed out that the names of his c5 and c6 do explicitly parallel the cn title for surtalogi. so like for english why not put havoc somewhere in the title instead of this random ass "foul" business im so????
#lore impact wise this is unironically as bad or worse as when they failed to recognize zhongli speaking about THE heavenly principles#in his story quest 2 as the imposer of erosion and just used some generic fate heavens lingo#AND had to go back to correct it bc of how egregious it was#like this is so aggravating i know translation is difficult but holy shit#anyway like i dont know chinese so obviously i cant speak too much on the originals connotations BUT i will say sth noteworthy is that#when the PS blog released 4.2 posts early during the livestream delay#german and french (idr if italian diverged or not) blog posts both had this rider motif present as well when showcasing the humanoid phase#of the weekly boss. which is very interesting in terms of connotations as to what entity that thing is bc now it links to surtalogi directl#not that related to the mistranslation itself but just v interesting .#rambles#genshin#4.2 spoilers#genshin spoilers

In a nutshell, my coloring leans towards being on the more vibrant and warmer side. Personally, I love it when the colors are enhanced and pop out even more, which I always try to do in my gifs. Honestly, half of the time I don’t even know what I’m doing and just play around with a lot of things.
It’s been about half a year since I picked up being a gif maker again, so there’s a ton I could improve on and learn about. For now, I think I’m doing alright, especially considering I don’t use Photoshop to create my gifs. Though it’s been fun creating content and exploring my personal style of coloring.
That’s pretty much it, I guess. Thank you again Mire and Val 💓 Also, if anyone has a working PS download link for Mac please send it my way.
