This is an animation using a cat character made with a 3D printer. The fifth is a story about a cat who thought a little about the existence of evil "impersonation". The room watching TV is Osakana-kun's room, which likes blue fish. The news studio set is also produced with a 3D printer.

So I’ve had a 3D printer for a little while now - the Ender 3 Pro - but have been pining for the Prusa i3 MK3S for a while. A popular 3D printer known to be reliable and full of great features, the Prusa i3 is perhaps the king of the consumer 3D printing market. As an early Christmas gift to myself, I finally got one!

It was their kit I ordered - the cheaper option at $800 (including Shipping) - meaning I had to build it myself, which I started doing as soon as I received it. It was shipped from the Prusa factory in Prague, but it arrived quickly. Opening the box, I was impressed by how well-packed and organized it was. All the parts were organized and labeled by chapter for the assembly book. The book itself was thick but very easy to understand with lots of helpful text and illustrations. Included in every Prusa kit is a bag of Haribo gummy bears, for which the assembly manual specifies a certain order to eat them. It’s cute.

The frame was fairly easy. The Y-axis was tricky. The Z-axis was a breeze. The X-axis was simple. The extruder was a bitch, the most complicated part of the printer to put together and the longest chapter in the manual. For such a small element, it has lots of parts and wires. The LCD display was ridiculously easy and fast. The hotbed and PSU not so much, but still not difficult. Then came the Einsy board and wiring. Much wiring. Connecting cables to the PSU, wrangling and running cables, zip-tying them into place, and connecting them to the board. When that was done, it was time to fire it up and do checks and tests. It worked.

Despite some tough spots, it was actually pretty fun to put together. There’s an extra level of appreciation knowing you built something like this on your own. IT also helps to know how it all goes together and works. I understand how 3D printers work - and how this one in particular works - far better now than if I would have just gotten the pre-built version.

The finished printer works like a charm and has lots of nice features. Heated bed, auto mesh bed leveling with a PINDA sensor, all-metal hotend, direct drive extruder, quiet stepper motors, filament detection, power outage recovery, a reliable PSU, dual Z-axis for extra support, a nice steel sheet and PEI bed that’s magnetic, lots of info on the LCD and an operating button with a soft chirp sound, excellent build quality, easy controls, auto-loading of the SD card, safety features, fast heating, good cooling, auto-loading and unloading of filament, and more. It also came with a spool of silver Prusament filament and some cute Prusa stickers.

Altogether, it’s a wonderful printer that, once built, is easy to use and gives reliable, consistent results. Perhaps it was my prior experience with the Ender 3, but the Prusa was nowhere near as painful to start using. So far I’ve gotten some nice prints out of it for the eventual enclosure I’m building, and I expect it’ll deliver many great prints to come. It’s so good, it’ll almost be painful to use the Ender 3 from now on.

KEYLOGGER ANALYSIS!!!

Minor update: I found out the best way to circumvent the voltage requirements would be to use a USB splitter which split the USB port on the host shield to 2 inputs, which were used for a USB power bank and then the keyboard itself. This seemed to provide enough power for my Ducky Shine 6 keyboard so I could truly emulate my standard behaviours on my keyboard rather than a low voltage Logitech keyboard. 

This part is the fun part. For the day 19/7/2019, I plugged the keylogger into my own keyboard and did the same functions I normally would on a dead day of browsing internet and some work because I am still unwell.

ive been taking pictures of my 3d prints mostly to get prusament filament from printables. On one hand i don't think i would do this without a reward (free/cheap filament since idk about shipping costs) but also it feels very nice to comment under models people spent time on w/ a print of it. it shows people do use it.
