Since a lot of people have been asking me about the brushes I use I might as well drop all of them
Non of them are payed brushes they’re all either found free resources online or created by me, please don’t don’t resell them or spread them around it’s not nice
I will link this in my pinned post too, please inform me if it doesn’t open I’ll fix it as soon as possible
Note that many of the brush names are in Chinese why? Because that’s the language I speak, you can rename them after you downloaded the pack I’m not gonna change them I won’t recognize them myself if I do :’)

took me a few days and i'm still not fully satisfied but it's the closest to a hair brush i'm content painting with (and have been using it for client work). if anything, it makes eyelashes much easier for me by giving the tapered shape with enough opacity to allow for errors
it's surprisingly good for skin painting after the initial color blocking but that's off-label use
you can get it for 1€ on my gumroad
it's for photoshop but it very likely works for procreate as well. you might not like it if you're not fond of lighter brushes (extra layering helps with that)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the Dense Brush Crew did not certify this
hope it makes your hair journey less of a struggle ۹(ÒہÓ)۶
I always limit myself to a maximum of 4 brushes used on a drawing, usually using brushes I've imported from that artist!
I use "sketch 02" for the most part, whether it's for line or shading, I like it when the brushes have a little grain effect.
But for the sketches, they're also brushes I've imported, but I can't find the artist... and I've modified them over and over, so that I get the exact rendering I want.
To make it up to you, I'll give you my best technique when I want to make a sketch stand out (I'm sure you've heard of it): duplicate, then blur via "Gaussian blur" up to 5%, then play with the opacity of the duplicated layer.
But you'll get everything you need and some excellent quality brushes with the link I've just given you. Don't hesitate to support this artist, their brushes are truly wonderful.
yo what procreate brush do you use for lineart it looks really cool :o
hi there -- i use a variety of brushes depending on the mood, so i'll make a nice lil compilation of my brushes to cover whichever one you're curious about!! thanks for ur interest 🥰
first off, the very recent BIC pen mimic i got from here:
and it looks like this:
it benefits from a lighter colour (can be used with grey/unsaturated colours), it's worth trying out a few for fun. its grain blend mode (brush -> brush studio -> grain) is set to multiply, so i think that's where it gets its light-to-dark gradient from.
then, there's this one:
which is an edited version of the default Tamar brush. i added jitter settings, which are the reason for its wiggles, and pen sensitivity. i love to use this one to give more simple drawings some extra flare.
and its sibling:
this one is basically the same, but with NO jitter and added stabilisation. :-)
the last one on this list:
i call her 'derwent highpressure 2 2 2', aka this is the culmination of me repeatedly editing & refining the default Derwent brush. the pressure sensitivity is super high because i wanted to get a range of pen thickness without affecting my sore hand too much. it's got a small amount of texture & jitter to it, and i'll be honest, i don't remember what the original one looks like.
to absolutely Anyone: i really encourage playing around with procreate brush settings because, although they're a bit difficult to comprehend at first, they're pretty open in terms of how you can mould them. plus, you can employ personally made textures & shapes (or free ones) to add subtle effects. it's fun! i have a whole dock of speech bubbles, decals, a watermark brush, body hair & feathers, etc. :-)
