I just realized that even though I started this project and have almost everything put together sans paint, I never actually posted my full army list for the 30k+ Iron Hands army. So if anyone cares;
Infantry Primaris:
40 Primaris Intercessors, 10 of which are Veterans, each Squad of ten containing a full loadout of each type of Bolter.
20 Primaris Assault Intercessors, 10 easy build, 10 standard build. One Sergeant with a Power Fist, the other with a Chain Axe proxy for a sword because I like the look, and Primaris can't have axes for some reason.
6 Suppressors
20 Infiltrators
20 Incursors
20 Rievers
6 Inceptors
20 Heavy Intercessors
12 Eradicators
40 Hellblasters
12 Bladeguard Veterans
12 Aggressors
12 Eliminators
Firstborn Infantry:
50 Tactical marines in various sets of armor, because Iron Hands use it till it can't be used no more. 10 of whom are Veterans
15 Scouts, 5 of which have Sniper Rifles
20 Vanguard Veterans
15 Assault Terminators
15 standard Terminators
10 Relic Terminators
10 Sternguard Veterans
6 Assault Centurions
12 Devastator Centurions
20 Devastators, with 4 Cherubs
10 Assault Marines
8 Sevitors
HQ and Elite Primaris: (basically single models and not elite squads)
Judicar
3 Chaplains, one on a bike
2 Librarians in each type of armor
2 Lieutenants of Each Type
1 of each Captain
1 Forge Father Feirros
2 Apothecaries
4 Techmarines
1 bladeguard Ancient
1 Ancient
HQ and Elites, Firstborn:
2 Command Squads
1 of each Captain because I like Servo Skulls and Cherubs.
1 of each Librarian, because options are fun.
2 techmarines
2 Thunderfire Cannons
Also Lieutenants from another tac-kit with various bionic and melee parts.
1 Ancient in Terminator Armor
1 Company Ancient
Dreadnoughts;
4 redemptor Dreads
2 Ironclad
1 Venerable
1 Contemptor
1 Leviathan
1 Deredeo
4 Standard Dreanoughts
2 Invictor Tactical Warsuits
Vehicles Primaris:
2 Hammefall Bunkers
3 Firestrike Turrets
6 Storm Speeders, 2 of each type
3 Repulsors
2 Repulsor Executioners, one with each loadout
4 Gladiators, 1 Valiant, 1 Lancer, 2 Reapers.
4 Impulsors
12 Outriders
4 Invader ATVs
Vehicles Firstborn:
3 Attack Bikes
9 Bikes
3 Scout Bikes
2 Land Raider Crusaders
2 Land Raider Redeemers
3 Standard Land Raiders
2 of each Land Speeder (6 total)
4 Land Speeder Storms
2 Drop Pods
1 Deathstorm Drop pod
2 Rhinos
1 Razorback
2 Whirlwinds
4 Vindicators
1 Stalker
1 Hunter
1 Predator Annihilator
2 Predator Destructors
Vehicle Flyers:
4 Stormhawks
4 Stormtalons
3 Stormravens
All in all this Army is just over 30,000pts. This doesn't include weapon upgrades though. Also, I won't paint them all black, I plan on making my own custom chapter of Iron Hands Successors too. I'll be reasonable with the paint jobs, partly because I don't think there's enough Abbadon Black to accomplish this task where I am.
I found some old Firstborn Captain kits with unique loadouts and servo skulls or Cherubs at my local store, and had to get them too. This is also a work in Progress, I only own about 8k of this road map at the moment. The rest will come soon. As for why I'm doing this to myself, we'll I hate myself, so Iron Hands just really evoke that kindred spirit, but also because I need a reason to trial-by-fire my painting skills and improve my hands dexterity, I've been indulging in audiobooks and lore videos for ideas too, and I may not even be done with black, because the Raven Guard Books have been really good.
Also don't worry, I have other armies, some by proxy of buying boxes, others I had planned. I have Daemons in all flavors, Thousand Sons, Imperial Guard and Necrons. I've been collecting models for about 3 years now, so don't think I'm taking out loans to survive.

Primaris Inceptors, lovely opportunities for heraldry and freehand on these guys. A pain to highlight though - so many edges!

I’ll admit to being a little bit surprised that Vigilus has become the fulcrum on which this edition’s narrative seems to be shifting. My instinct had been that, following the Eye of Terror do-over that was Gathering Storm, we’d be revisiting Armageddon in a big and exciting way; as there are narrative threads to draw in the factions that I figured would be sure to get updates this year.
But with Leman Russ a no-show, the expected World Eaters Codex similarly missing in action and next to no chatter at all about Ghazghkul Thraka for Orktober. I’m left to wonder if maybe my predictions weren’t just wishful thinking.
Which is not to say that these things won’t soon come to pass - I still think it’s a guarantee that we’ll see a Primarch for each Codex and a Codex for each Cult Legion at some point in the not-too-distant future, but the rate seems to have dropped off precipitously.
I do like the battle-in-a-box format that GW has adopted, though. I love me a campaign book, but I love a deal even more and the sheer value packed into these boxes has been phenomenal. Making some informed assumptions about the price of the new Spiritseer and Primaris Lieutenant, it’s a three hundred dollar value; which makes it a 50% discount.

The Boosty Blue Business Boys.
The 2nd Airborne Assault, as led by Sergeant Trevino.
I’ve heard horror stories about these plastic stands, but so far I haven’t had a huge problem (Albeit after plenty of green stuff and super glue). I suppose only time will tell.

Ever since the gravis armour was unveiled people were making jokes about the headpiece, so I had to add something to my Inceptor model. Aeiou.

2 Inceptors between me and the first 2200 points or so of my Lions of Terra Primaris being completely painted (doing all their bases at the same time).  I’ve actually started assembling my Reivers, but I’m not anticipating getting them painted right away. I need a break from green power armor. My next GW related project will probably be Shadespire, but that’s not set in stone yet.

Added some more Plasma Boys of a couple different flavors to my primaris, since I found some room in my case I’m not technically breaking my army in one box rule that I said I would break if I added any more.
Finally got around to painting up a test squad of sisters of silence.  Would love to run a whole army of these badass ladies, just need FW to finish coming out with all the models I need.
Also submitted this board to my local GW armies on parade, and won best theme and best scenic board!

The new brothers have come through their first live-fire trials with flying colours. They’re bigger, faster and tougher than us. Durante tells me they’re making use of several non-standard gen-hancements - has somebody been trying to improve on us? I’ve sworn him to secrecy on the subject. Nobody needs to be considering their own obsolescence, not with a brand new hole in the sky stretching as far as the eye can see.
Officially, they are designated 3/13 Assault, Squad Demetrios. But everyone just calls them Cuckoo Squadron.
