Gee, I wonder why Emperor's Children characters are being omitted from the new Chaos Space Marines codex.
It's probably because they're being discontinued and will never get new, updated plastic models and a codex of their own.

At least the Necromunda teaser had some miniatures in it, even if they are all obnoxiously silhouetted to obscure their details. Nice use of Zone Mortalis scenery, though.

The Mechanicum Taghmata "teaser" is almost offensively bad. Given the huge potential for previously discontinued Forge World models to make the jump to plastic, I almost think it would have been better to just not preview anything at all.
There's a finite number of things that could potentially come next so throwing up a still image of Mars and an Opus Machina on YouTube isn't exactly revelatory. Most of the Solar Auxilia range isn't even out yet, maybe just sit on it for another month or two before sucking all the air out of those sales.

On the heels of the Great Slaughter's impromptu preview, WarCom formally announced the quarter scale Shadowsword kit and it's got me hopeful. The inclusion of the Stormblade's plasma blaster as a major selling point has got me hopeful that it'll be included in the full-size kit.

This, on the other hand, does appear to be a new Solar Auxilia Shadowsword.
There had been some wild speculation earlier today about a "new" Solar Auxilia Shadowsword, but I regret to inform you that this just seems to be the discontinued Arkurian-pattern Shadowsword conversion kit from Forge World (possibly this one).
You might think that the clearest giveaway is that it doesn't match the styling of the new Solar Auxilia tanks, but in fact its sister kit the Arkurian-pattern Stormblade is still available - when the plastic Baneblade was released in 2007, the then extant range of resin Baneblade chassis kits became obsolete and were superseded by the Arkurian conversion kits for the casemate hull variants.
These, too, were rendered superfluous when the Shadowsword got its own plastic kit in 2009 - but since the plasma blastgun wasn't included on the sprue, the Arkurian Stormblade remains to fill a niche in the range.
While a new Baneblade chassis kit isn't inconceivable in light of the new Leman Russ, this ain't it. Besides, I think a plastic replacement for the 2015 Stormhammer is more likely.

I'd have preferred a plastic dreadnought or grav tanks, but I suppose a new solo character model is consistent with what we've seen for minor codex updates.
Besides, I don't know if they intend to maintain the bright line between the 30k and 40k armies, but I suspect that the majority of the legacy Custodes range from Forge World is being held back until they get their big Age of Darkness release.

After more than a week of radio silence, sculptor of extremely on-model Heresy-era Astartes stuff LoggyK revealed that he got got, if you infer the implication, and has purged everything potentially infringing of Games Workshop IP from his Cults page.
While not an entirely unexpected outcome, it is nonetheless a sad day for proxy enthusiasts - so if you're so inclined, consider acquiring this totally original Space Greek.
