Hello. Philippines has suffered through another storm, after going through the world's strongest typhoon just days ago, and left not only destroyed livelihood and properties but has also ended numerous lives. This happening in the middle of a fucking pandemic.
#CagayanNeedsHelp is currently trending in twt to help spread news to the national government, rescuers, and to those whose families are in the region that might be affected. Electric and communication lines are down and rescue is on going but slow. They have dispatched rescue teams across the region but it isn't enough. The flood has submerged an entire city about 15 meters deep. People have resorted to wait for help on their roofs. There are children, senior citizens, PWDs, and those who suffers from sickness, stuck for 3 days now with no food and water, hoping to be rescued.
People have retweeted and shared video clips, pictures, and even audio clips of people shouting for help in the dark. There are those who died drowning and getting electrocuted. Having no food and water is making it worse. Seeing these in the safety of my home makes me feel guilty of not being able to do anything. Hearing them cry for help and I could only do so much as help spread news and pray for them. We've raised donation drives for now but we still need to rescue a region.
I ask of you to help us spread awareness of what is currently happening in the Philippines.

Hello beautiful people!
I'm from the Philippines and in just two months we've been struck with multiple typhoons. Not long ago, we have been struck by a super typhoon and recently another one hit the country, millions are affected.
So we are humbly asking for your help/support. Me and my blockmates decided to have a donation drive to help those who are badly affected by the typhoon.
A Call for Donation: Dyis Para Kay Sis na Nasalanta ni Ulysses
“ As we usher on a new day, the impact of Typhoon Ulysses will be different to everyone. To some, it was just a storm that had passed by. While others lost their roofs, their homes, their belongings, their savings, and even their loved ones because of it. As such, we are humbly knocking on the hearts of those who are capable of donating. The suggested donation is P10 ($.5) above—to ensure that we can accommodate as many people as we can—but we are welcoming to literally any amount. ”
Rest assured that 100% of it will proceed to areas that are strongly affected by the said typhoon, such as Marikina, Rizal, and Bulacan (depending on the amount of proceeds). It will be used to buy basic necessities such as ready-to-eat food, water, and clothes if possible.

My 2020 Experienced: ikako Becomes My Comfort Song 🌿
2020 brings so much heart breaking moments for me. We, Filipino suffered a lot this year. Let me share with you my experienced.
Last January, Taal Volcano that is located to the province where I live errupted. Never comes to my mind that I will experience rain of ash. My hometown luckily is not destroyed that time. I remembered, I was in a bus going to Manila when suddenly an ash fall occured. Akala ko tapos na then COVID-19 happened. March when the government announced a total lockdown. That time I'm still in Manila rendering my last day of work. Luckily before the start date of implementation I was able to go home. Yung akala kong isang buwan lang na lockdown biglang naging dalawa, tatlo ngayon ay pang-walo na. To be honest, March to May ang pinakamahirap na buwan para sakin. My family didn't know that I almost want to end my life that time because of something I experienced that really triggered my mental health. And still fighting that demon inside me. And now, November and we experiencing a lot of typhoons. Sobrang madaming lumubog sa baha, nawalan ng kabuhayan, kaibigan at pamilya.

2020 still not yet over, let's pray and hope that the following days and month will be better for all of us.

Today, my hometown is being hit badly by typhoon ulysses.
Dear God, our faith is in you. No other name is mightier than YOURS. We take refuge in YOU. Our hearts may be tired, scared and anxious but YOU are the calm in our storms, our peace in this chaotic world.
“Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” (Jeremiah 33:3)

HOW WAS TAAL AND ITS PEOPLE NOW AND HOW DID SOCIAL MEDIA CHANGED THE LIFE OF THE BATANGUEÑOS?

As we all know, Last January 12, 2020 Taal Volcano the second most active volcano in the Philippines which last erupted in 1977 awaken the land of Batangas, Tagaytay, some parts of Laguna and even the cities nearby. Many people and animals were forced to evacuate due to the rage and possible eruption of the volcano any time soon. Approximately 346,000 people have been affected by the sudden explosion. Some lost their lives and some were luckily alive and rescued.
It’s been seventeen days and yet the people of Taal were still devastated and has nothing to start with and go on with their lives. Apparently, God didn’t turned his back on them instead He used some good hearted people to reach His hands to them. Through social media, many people lent their prayers and donations to those affected by this phenomena. A lot of artists personally went there and gave their help in the utmost of what they can do.
I can say that through the help of social media, people are easy to let the people in need feel that they are not alone. We can help each other whether it is personal, online or even virtual. I must say, people really does a good job using their social media platforms with these kinds of occurrences.
I will end this blog with a quote, “In technology, it’s about the people getting the best people, retaining them, nurturing a creative environment and helping to find a way to innovate.”
