Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if New Rome University has graduates who work in the admissions office who either were former Praetors or have close connections to former Praetors. And that those Praetors are upset that a Greek became Praetor. They might feel like Percy just waltzed into camp and was instantly handed the keys to a position they worked their asses off for.

What about the friends of Praetors who served and/or died in their position during the Titan war?

They’re not considering what Percy’s been through and whether he’s worthy. They’re just working through their anger over something that feels so horribly unfair.

I can see them working their hardest to make sure Percy never sets foot into their school.

I relate so hard to Urabrask because:

(1). He's breaking away from a toxic, oppressive religious system because he truly applies the principles that his faith taught him.

(2). He tenaciously fights for weirdos, underdogs, and other people who don't have a place in the world.

(3). He's a solitary creature who wants to be left alone to create.

...Thinking about it, since their storyline's kinda over, it's a real shame nobody made a fun fan villain song for the New Phyrexian Praetors in the vein of something like this:

Hmm....so you're saying the Praetors aren't actually gone, they're just going away for a while and then returning transformed?

Y'know, I would love to see some multicolored phyrexians wake up and have ambitions of becoming praetors. Whether they succeed or not is inconsequential. All this mindless, blind following for the 'glory of Phyrexia' needs to be broken down a little bit. Where's the personal machinations of the evincars of old phyrexia? Does it really need to be relegated to the five monocolor praetors?

You think you’re good enough to be compleated? You? Jin-Gitaxias would take one look at you and throw you in the soup. Elesh Norn would laugh in your face and assimilate your skin and bones into a new armchair. Sheoldred would enslave you and bend you to her will. Vorinclex? He’d hunt you for sport. Urabrask the Heretic? Yeah he might compleat you, but only if you really want it.
