Le Grand Palais ouvert l’espace de quelques heures à tous, gratuitement. Ce n’est pas tous les jours…

A l’entrée, on nous accueille avec un «Faites-vous plaisir, prenez plein de photos ». C’est rare…

A la question « le trépied est-il autorisé ? », la réponse est « oui bien sûr ! ». Là on bascule dans la science-fiction…

Je ne me fais pas prier, après avoir fait le tour du propriétaire, je sors le trépied, le 35mm et le filtre gris neutre. Me voilà prêt pour la pose longue. La pose longe m’oblige à faire des choix car chaque photo va me pendre du temps à réaliser. N’ayons pas peur des mots, cette contrainte de temps, je l’aime.

Je suis très vite dans ma bulle, concentré sur ce que je fais, dans l’instant présent. Avant de déclencher, j’ai pris le temps de tourner autour de mon sujet, le temps de bien réfléchir à ce que je voulais montrer. Grâce au trépied, il me reste à cadrer au millimètre puis faire la mise au point. « Clac », le miroir remonte. 90 secondes après, un nouveau « clac » se fait entendre, il redescend. L’image est dans la boite. Un vrai cérémonial.

90 secondes, c’est le temps de pose de cette photographie. C’est assez pour deviner le ressac de la foule allant et revenant dans le magnifique escalier du Grand Palais. C’est assez long pour que je puisse observer la scène avec un certain amusement. Assez long pour me demander combien de centaines de photos ont été prises dans ce laps de temps à cet endroit.
