So uh.....

[BLOOD WARNING]

It was meant to be more angsty....and it is, but....it got carried away in the end....

Sooooo, the story behind this one....

He got in a preeeetty bad fight and it went south quick.

He lost his automail arm, a little more by force.

Which stressed the joint a bit.

As well as the fact that he got a bit roughed up in the process, so he's a little bleedy. 😁

And apparently he didn't clean off before getting into bed.... Or he just got back and stripped, but is still in the active bleeding department....

I think there's a lot to be said about the two pub scenes nearing the end of both seasons, but in both, Stede is preparing to do incredibly stupid, self-destructive things over losing Ed.

I feel like Johnny either eats like a bird when he's with the Curtis' and they feed him bc he's used to not eating much, or he absolutely inhales any and all food they set in front of him because he gets like actual table scraps at home. Overall I feel like he has a very unhealthy relationship with food in general and always feels sick after eating regardless of it being a lot or a little. tfw you’re a couple chapters into an fma found family fic and it’s becoming increasingly clear that the author sees Al as an accessory for Ed and not as an actual character

#this is way too common #‘ed is just a poor traumatized little kid unlike al who is very well adjusted and basically an adult’#my brother in christ an entire aspect of their characters is that ed hates being seen as a child and al hates being seen as an adult #definitely not saying that ed isn’t a traumatized kid that boy has problems #but claiming that al is well adjusted bc he doesn’t externalize his issues in the same way ed does is ridiculous #especially since the armor straight up prevents him from externalizing his issues in certain ways #just admit that you don’t care about al as his own character and don’t want to write about him and move on #I also suspect that some people have difficulties imagining a character that big being vulnerable which is hilarious #given the entire concept of al’s character #anna talking about stuff #fandom meta #fanfic meta #fma #fma fanfiction #edward elric #alphonse elric

Surely, surely there are spells that dust, clean, scrub bathrooms, wash clothing? House elves can do it with a snap of their fingers, wizards can do it just as easily with a wave of their wand.

So why do house elves clean dorms and do laundry at Hogwarts? There’s only one explanation:

It has nothing to do with how easy the task is, and everything to do with it actually getting done. In other words, teenagers.

Living in dorms with other teenagers.

At some point in Hogwarts history, there had to have been teenagers running around in three week old uniform shirts and genuinely not realising it was a problem.

Like, it had to be bad enough that someone decided it was enough of an issue to call a meeting about it. House elves have been washing Hogwarts uniforms on a nightly basis ever since.

#House elves in the kitchens make sense #food being the primary exception to Gamp’s Law #but the rest never made sense to me #this is all mostly a joke #like we’ve all been teenagers and puberty is rough #shoutout to anyone who’s ever walked into a year 8 locker bay and made it out alive #anyone who went to a co-ed high school #*shudders*#let’s spare a thought for the poor Hogwarts kids with no guidance #a dorm of boys with no present parental figures to suggest they maybe try showering a bit more frequently for the next few years #also who’s teaching them to shave?#like are they all running around with those little sparse beards?#until they go home for the holidays and hopefully have a living father figure to show them?#that seems like a bit of a gamble given the survival rate of parents in the wizarding world #Hogwarts #Harry Potter #marauders era #marauders

Once again the two found just enough time to hide and enjoy one another's company. Him being sprawled on his back his usual slick back hair was a mess, and he did not wear either sunglasses or reading glasses. Silver eyes fluttered a bit when he felt the warmth next to him, glancing at Ed curling up next to him he can't help but snicker silently.

Not wanting to wake up, he sleds his hand down Ed's cheek with care, right now they can take in this single night amidst the chaos. Because soon again they will have to part ways...

Lucius knows he’s screaming but he can’t tell if any coherent words are coming out, can’t tell what he’s trying to say, other than to plead, he’s pretty sure he’s begging for his life. He doesn’t want to die! His flailing leg hits the hull of the ship and the current keeps pulling him under ⸺ he should swim, but his body is too close to the ship, he’s too panicked; all he can do is make futile attempts at treading water, fingers clawing to grab anything, anything at all to keep him above the surface. Please, no, please...!

He’s under, unable to pull himself back up, when the frantic efforts at grasping at something are paid off: Lucius doesn’t know what he’s grabbed onto, but he holds on for dear life, his wet clothes pulling him further under. It’s probably just stray debris, but it’s solid, and there’s nothing else he can do⸺

Only when his face is above surface again does he realise he’s being dragged upwards, not downwards. He gasps for breath, coughing up water, and for the moment absolutely nothing else exists other than the efforts of drawing in air and clinging on; eventually someone grabs his wrist, hauls him through the hatch. His breath wheezes, full body shaking, and he’s too out of it to comprehend what’s just happened. Just needs to breathe, needs to... not die, god, please...
