#JackedKirby - The Saturday Poll Question Results: 💥💥💥 This week we did a poll comparing the Fantastic Four’s resident tough guy, The Thing!!!! The first entry is the more monstrous version of the early FF issues (this one comes from Issue 2 of FF, his second appearance ever). The second choice was from almost 8 years later in Kirby’s last issue of FF, Issue 102. 💥💥💥 The later version of Ben Grimm CRUSHED the original version, garnering 86% of the votes (118 total) to the original versions 14% of the votes (just 17... 🙁). It certainly seems like it was Clobberin’ Time for sure!!! 💥💥💥 I personally enjoy the monstrous, less well defined version of The Thing myself... to me it is more an embodiment of what Ben turns into after the incident... a “thing” to me is something that is not really defined or identifiable. #JackedKirby - And the winner is... 💥💥💥 This weekends poll question pit two versions of Jack’s robot creation X-51.... Mister Machine aka Machine Man!!! 💥💥💥 When X-51 first appeared in the pages of the 2001 series he was know as Mister Machine and had a rounder face with a thicker metal band around the top of his head.... but just a year or so later he spun off into his own series as Machine Man! This version saw Jack elongating his head shape, added a metallic chin guard and lowered the metallic headband down a bit on his head!!! 💥💥💥 They are subtle differences... but differences none the less!
