Today's prompt is "Using a non-attacking move" So here's Iris the Poochyena's special move, Heal Bell~

I really like how this came out, though the inking was literally a bit much this time ^^" Iris is a Pokemon that belongs to my character, Echo. Iris uses her Soothe Bell to make the healing more powerful, I like to think~

Now I know what you might be thinking: "Wait a minute- Poochyena can't learn Heal Bell" And you'd be right, MOSTLY. See, In Pokemon X.D. Gale of Darkness, Once Shadow Pokemon are purified, they get a move that they'd never be able to learn in any way. Poochyena, as well as Mareep, get Heal Bell~ Also you can get Ralts and Gulpin that learn Sing, and Spheal and Houndour that get Charm~ Just to name a few.

Gale of Darkness is also the game with the most beautiful Heal Bell animation, Which is why I drew it here~ I love that game so much~

How to evolve: Level 35.

Region: A region of eternal night as scientists created plants that could grow in moonlight, though there is some places that try to create artificial lights for the plants that couldn't grow in the moonlight. The moon still changing to different fullness percents with times there is no moon visible.

Region name: Lunar region.

Type: Water Dark.

Ability: Poochyena Torrent. Mightyena: Water absorb.

Description: They are a pokemon that are called a water dog as it can dive and even hunt underwater with a protective bubble around their eyes to allow them to keep their eyes open underwater. They are also able to breathe underwater due to them being able to swim around under the water for even long periods of time. They are fiercely loyal to whoever gains their trust. They will even put their lives on the line to help those they care for. In the wild some live alone but most wild ones prefer to live a small pack of no more than ten members. They have a kind of underwater night vision allowing them to navigate even darker areas of the waters.

Poochyena prefers the shallow waters with the deepest it prefers to go is to the bottom of a river. It is a popular pokemon for lifeguards and in training sea or lake search and rescue. Though some fishers will also have this pokemon as just incase something goes wrong, but they will usually not go too deep when fishing until the evolution in a respect to these pokemon preferring the shallower waters. They have fluff to help them deal with the colder waters as it helps to regulate their body temperatures while in the water. They also have webbing between their toes, the same color as their toes, to help them swim in the water.

Mightyena sometimes blows small bubbles when it is bored, to show off to a potential mate, or to show it's like to its trainer. These pokemon can easily go deeper into lakes and even the sea. Hence why they are a popular choice for those who investigate or go to rescue people and pokemon in the water. As well as fishers who travel to deeper waters just in case something goes wrong. Their fluff is also used to help regulate their body temperature in colder waters, though it is said that it also designed to let them move faster in the water mainly to more easily dodge hostiles living deeper in the water.

Lore: Poochyena is said to have once been a pokemon who lived on the land many years ago until its habitat started to flood. But instead of moving away to find a new territory they were said to have learned overtime how to survive with the water flooding their home. They gained changes with their lines being said to have been the inspiration behind the creation of swimming goggles. When people first encountered these pokemon there were stories of one of a pack trying to snatch small children that wandered too close to the waters edge. These stories were said to have stopped after one of the locals managed to catch and tame one.

Mightyena when first spotted were given stories as demons lurking in the water and no one wanted to research them in fear of an evil wrath emerging upon their homeland. It is said that they became no longer known as demons after a boat with some people on vacation sunk only for a pack of Mightyena to help until a rescue arrived. After that many who owned boats went out to sea to try to get one of these pokemon for themselves so going out to sea wouldn't be as dangerous as before for them.

Design inspiration: Scourge from Warrior Cats including the whole Collar debate/argument, Fygons eyes, swimming goggles, and bubbles.

Lunar region is a region that I have thought about making. I will be making more Pokémon and variants for this region.
