Time for a real true intro bost on my main acct.
Hello, I'm Thomas aka BM74
I'm 19, and about to head into college.
Basic dni's, just don't do it. Although I'm not a minor, other slendermods i work with are, so if you mess up, and i mean BAD, I'll tell them, and others in the Slendiscord to block you.
I have adhd, autism, anxiety, ocd, knee hyperextension and klienfeltzer's.
I was born in Nepean and moved around a bit till i settled, down somewhere near ptbo.
I am gay and a dendrophiliac (yes, the tree fucker)
I have around 2500 hours on Google maps which earned me some superpowers apparently, now i Lucid dream, Lucid Daydream, and Lucid Think. If i stare at a point higher than me i can see what it sees as if it was a cctv cam. The only downside is i need to've been up to that elevation at some point, maybe ill go up the cn tower one day to double the reach.
The only times i left my province were for Gatineau meetups and Sirc de solis of however the Québecois spell it.
I was French exempt since grade 3, so I'm one of those annoying monolinguals. I would finally learn Deutsch if ikenna's app was on android, but rn i only know the most nessicary of sentances; "kann ich bitte einen getostaten bagel mit butter bekommen?"
I still think sweet corn in chili should be illegal.
My Nerd Guide:
My gimmick blogs. You prolly already figured out which ones are my gimmicks if you know qwill, but my gimmicks are..

what are your FAVORITE things to write about steve? he seems very charming
He is so charming 😭 I hope this answers your question! This is like 50% rambling and 50% just speculation.
I mean, first off I just think he's cute...that's at least 90% of my motivation. (I am looking and it is in no way respectful.) But I also just have a soft spot for characters who come across as soft-spoken and serious on the outside but then crack these zingers out of nowhere---either filthy or satirical---and Steve does both, making his internal and external dialogue really fun for me to write. Even more so in contrast to how I like to write Sid: straightforward and always having a lot to say and is ready to say it to whoever is in his direct line of sight (of course this does not count if that person happens to be a reporter...)
I think that contrast adds an interesting tension to any narrative. (At lest how I characterize it) I like to write Steve as very honest and blunt when he does revel something, but mostly keeps the curtains on his inner thoughts and feelings tightly shut, and is more likely to just not say anything in favour of revealing his true feelings VS Sid who is more likely to either admit the truth OR just say what he thinks people want to hear.
I also find that my favourite part about writing Steve changes depending on the pov. From Steve’s point of view it's fun to feel like you're in the know, as it always is with a character who’s reticent. Especially when the story is duel pov and the other party is constantly misinterpreting their signals.
And then of course, perhaps more basely, I find it very indulgent to write out my Jupiter-size crush from Sid’s perspective. 😌
Mostly I just find the dynamic between Sid and Steve specifically very interesting, they obviously get along and are very similar (the golden child saviours of their franchises, basically adopted by their club owners and cities, commercial darlings of the NHL...) but with a few key differences.
Personally, I think Steve is actually closer to how a lot of the fandom used to perceive Sid before they knew much about him: Steve was very often described as shy and mild mannered, and although I think Sid is genuinely humble and down to earth (thanks to his upbringing) he's always had an inherent confidence that I don't think Steve had coming into the league. For one, it was a different era and level of exposure; Steve played on a team in Nepean and then Peterborough (which for those who are uninitiated was not the frenzied cultural moment that was Sidney Crosby at Rimouski). Steve came into the league as a player that was accomplished but not at the level where people would be able anticipate what he would become vs Sid grew up with people already expecting big things from him from an early age so he had to develop the self confidence to withstand that etc etc.
So while they’re both insanely competitive and hard workers I just think Steve's confidence was galvanized a little later in life. Also, from what I've read about Steve it sounded like he had a very (emotionally) conservative upbringing with a stoic father, which might have added to the reservedness vs Sid who's parents come across as very much emotional/emotionally available.
They are both incredibly private and humble: Sid more private than Steve (Sid wont hold hands with his girlfriend in public, etc.) Steve more severely humble than Sid (lol, I have yet to hear about Sid un-retiring one of his own jerseys.)
And beside all that Steve just seems like a guy who really likes to have fun. There’s all the chirping, joke cracking, and gutting one liners, theres the fact that his ring tone was black eyed peas at one point, and that he wanted to be invited to Ovi’s next cup party.
He’s seemed to have flourished/come out of his shell (publicly) in retirement. Which I love since I love retirement fic, but I also I like in contrast to Sid who hasn’t reached that point in his career yet. As someone who's already lived though a lot of the same life experiences and come out the other side I just think there’s so much room for good emotional angst and dialogue there. And not to be forgotten the ship just wouldn't be a juicy emotionally without the age gap and hero worship 😌

Poetry Month April 2024: Poem 27: 'At Nepean Point'
The most glamorous of sports, I thought, watching surfers ride in on Victoria's Surf Coast. Though the rides don't last long. Those looking for a metaphor about life, the universe and everything may find it here.
At Nepean Point
The waves stumble,
but seal-suited sleek surfers,
upright on bare feet,
tread them for as long as they can, and
snatch some green blue white energy
before it sinks into sand.

The Plague Ship Ticonderoga.
In November 1852 a migrant ship dropped anchor in Port Phillip Bay with some 700 passengers, many of them gravely ill. The 1,200-ton American Clipper Ticonderoga had been chartered to bring immigrants out to start a new life in Australia, but the three-month journey to their new home proved a nightmare for many of the mostly Scottish passengers.
Victoria was experiencing a labour shortage and had started offering assisted passage for workers to come and settle in the colony. Most of the passengers comprised of farmhands and their young families. But, not surprisingly, there was an incentive to get the most people out at the lowest cost to the Government.
When the Ticonderoga left Liverpool she was overcrowded, even by the standards of Victorian England. Not long into the voyage passengers, many of them young children, started developing a red rash, high fever and sore throat. At the time the disease was sometimes called scarlet fever or Scarlatina, but it is generally thought today that it was Typhus that wreaked so much havoc on the passengers. Easily treated with antibiotics today, it had a devastating effect on those trapped onboard the ship.
It was impossible to separate the sick from the healthy passengers in the overcrowded, poorly ventilated and unsanitary passenger accommodation spread across two decks. Consequently, the disease spread unchecked.
Passengers died in such numbers that as many as ten would be bundled together into a sheet of canvas for burial at sea. By the time they reached the port city of Melbourne more than 100 people had lost their lives. Another 150 were sick and in desperate need of medical attention, for they had long run out of medical comforts and the ship’s surgeon had been felled by the disease while attending to his patients. Many of those, 82 to be precise, died in the days and weeks that followed.
The passengers and crew were quarantined at Point Nepean just inside the Port Phillip Bay heads for the newly formed Victorian Government had already earmarked a parcel of land there to build a quarantine station. Tents were hastily erected using spars and ship’s sails and two nearby houses owned by lime burners were used as makeshift hospitals and staffed with medical men brought out from Melbourne. A ship was also dispatched to the Quarantine Station to serve as a hospital for the more serious cases.
The quick response contained the highly infectious disease and kept it from spreading to the general population. By January 1853 the epidemic had run its course. The surviving passengers were taken to Melbourne and the Ticonderoga was released to go on its way but not before being thoroughly fumigated.

Posture Harmony: Physiotherapy Tips for Improving Posture
In our fast-paced, digital-driven world, maintaining impeccable posture is more than a nicety; it's a necessity. Poor posture, often a result of hours spent hunched over screens, can wreak havoc on our physical well-being. This blog is dedicated to exploring the significance of good posture and unraveling physiotherapy tips tailored to help you achieve and sustain a life marked by perfect posture. Welcome to Physiocare - Best Physiotherapy Clinic in Nepean, where your journey to optimal posture begins.
The Essence of Stellar Posture:
Understanding the profound impact that posture holds on overall health is our starting point. A well-aligned spine and robust supporting muscles are the cornerstones of a body that operates seamlessly. Good posture isn't merely a matter of aesthetics; it actively prevents muscle imbalances, curtails injury risks, and supports the optimal functioning of your vital organs. In contrast, poor posture can usher in chronic pain, persistent fatigue, and a slew of musculoskeletal issues that linger long-term.
Physiocare Tips to Revolutionize Your Posture:
Crafting an Ergonomic Oasis:
At Physiocare, we advocate for an ergonomic workspace setup. Adjust your chair, desk, and computer to orchestrate a setting where your screen aligns with your eye level, and your feet rest flat on the floor. This ensures minimal strain on your neck, shoulders, and lower back.
Core Mastery for Posture Supremacy:
Engage in physiotherapy-approved core-strengthening exercises that act as the backbone of a stable spine. The likes of planks, bridges, and abdominal crunches fortify your core, providing the stability needed for a naturally upright posture.
Flexibility Unleashed Through Stretching:
Flexibility is your ally against muscle tightness. Physiocare recommends incorporating stretching exercises targeting areas like the chest, shoulders, hip flexors, and hamstrings. Regular stretching preserves your range of motion, a crucial element in maintaining proper posture alignment.
Back Love with Strengthening Exercises:
Our focus on back-strengthening exercises, including rows and lat pulldowns, contributes to an upper back powerhouse. A robust upper back promotes a straighter posture, reducing the risk of rounded shoulders.
Mindfulness in Motion:
At Physiocare, we advocate mindfulness in both sitting and standing. Sit back in your chair with a straight back and relaxed shoulders. When standing, distribute your weight evenly on both feet, maintaining a slight bend in your knees to avoid stiffness.
Postural Symphony with Physiotherapists:
Collaborate with our best physiotherapists in Ottawa at Physiocare to learn personalized postural correction exercises. Tailored to address your unique challenges, these exercises are designed to retrain your muscles for enhanced alignment.
Breaks for Mobility:
Incorporate regular breaks and movement into your routine. Physiocare recommends a break every 30 minutes to stretch or take a short walk. These simple yet effective practices prevent stiffness and nurture improved posture throughout the day.
In Conclusion:
Embarking on the journey to impeccable posture is a proactive investment in your overall well-being. At Physiocare Ottawa, we invite you to weave these physiotherapy tips into your daily routine. Experience the transformative benefits of improved posture, reduced pain, and fortified musculoskeletal health. Small adjustments today can herald a lifetime of comfort. Begin your pursuit of perfect posture with Physiocare - where comfort meets care.

Day 6: 16 Mar 2024
Our accommodation is in an area called Boneo and once a month is a Saturday morning community market - crafts and food. It was on today from 8-12. We decided to go, mostly for a coffee, but ended up with lovely sourdough bread, local strawberries, eggs, and a family size chicken and leek pie … and coffee. The pie will be dinner one night with salad.
After dropping our goods back to the apartment we then drove to the start of today’s planned walk which looked to be about 10kms but ended up 15kms. In 29 degree heat and not a lot of shade it was long enough. It was a lovely walk to the end of the point at Nepean so you could see the ocean to your left and the bay to your right. There is a rocky reef in the middle of the channel which was the undoing for many ships years ago.
The walk reminded us of North Head as there’s a Quarantine Station, Tourist Centre, and well marked tracks. There are all manner of walkers including the crazy ones dressed in long sleeved black tops and pants and thongs. 😳 There is a shuttle bus service so for some it may be a very short wander.
We found a shady log for our lunch wraps at about 2pm.
Beaches on both sides of the headland are stunning with craggy rocks and clear water.
We saw the beach that Harold Hold swam at and didn’t return in 1967. I didn’t realise that on that day he swam with four friends. I thought it was just him.
Hot and thirsty after our walk we drove to Sorrento for a beer (G&T for Sharon). Nice suburb, very Mosman. Walking shoes and bucket hats didn’t really fit the Sorrento fashion sense. 😂
An IGA shop for some meat to BBQ tonight and then a drive to a port beach for a quick swim to cool down. The water was a very nice temperature and did the trick.
Home by 5pm and ready to relax. Showers, pre-dinner nibbles, BBQ and salad, then a Netflix movie which was okay but a bit cheesy. A good day!

WATER BOUND: SYDNEY’S BEST KAYAKING SPOTS
Tumblr media
One of the best things about living in Sydney is its proximity to great, beautiful expanses of water. And what’s the best thing to do in water? Go kayaking! With that in mind, we’ve pulled up our five favourite places to go paddling.
Sydney Harbour: In the CBD! Just flip out the kayak and go.
No one ever gets sick of Sydney Harbour. Whether you’re fresh-faced to Sydney or you’ve been here your whole life, there’s something very special about the view. It’s best to go on a still day, as boat traffic – there’s a lot of it! – and wind can make for a chaotic ride, especially for a beginner. Start from Onions Point in Woolwich and make your way to Cockatoo Island, where you can wander around, have lunch then head back to the mainland.
Berowra Waters: Approximately 48km from CBD.
This gem, surrounded by Ku-ring-gai Chase, has the best of both bush and aquatic worlds. This stretch, just a short drive off the F3 Freeway, offers a wonderful view of the bush, steep cliffs and has many quiet, sheltered places to paddle in to. There’s great history to be found by exploring, and so close to the CBD!
Tumblr media
Pittwater in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park: Approximately 40km from CBD.
If you’ve ever read Salvation Creek by Susan Duncan, you’ll have seen Pittwater somewhere in your imagination. Cruise down Elvina and Lovett bay, land, and then walk through the bush to the waterfall described in the book, then paddle the creek itself.
Nepean Gorge and the Blue Mountains National Park: Approximately 64km from the CBD.
Did you know that the Blue Mountains National Park is heritage-listed? If you’re in for an adventurous day, head towards Nepean Gorge, about an hour’s drive from the CBD. Start at Penrith and paddle towards ‘The Narrows’, then head for the Gorge and National Park. Peaceful, narrow stretches follow. After landing safely, there’s a short walk to a lookout and a beach where you can have lunch. The track is 26km total, with just two landing spots – so prepare your shoulders in advance.
Lane Cove River: Approximately 12.5km from CBD.
For a kayak experience that will leave you feeling completely tranquil and serene, make the short trip to Lane Cove. It’s about a seven kilometre stretch down a gentle river with incredible sandstone formations. If your interests lie in crime stories – one of our country’s most interesting murder mysteries occurred on the riverbank – the Bogle-Chandler case.

“CHILD OF EIGHT IS KIDNAPPED NEAR HIS HOME,” Ottawa Journal. July 29, 1932. Page 3. ---- Joseph Esposito Enticed Into Motor at Bay and Lisgar Streets. ---- SAY MACHINE WAS FROM CONNECTICUT ---- Radio, R.C.M.P. and Bo der Officials Enlisted in Wide Hunt. ---- Enticed into a car bearing a Connecticut license. Joseph Esposito, eight-year-old son of Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Esposito, 85 Beacon avenue. New Haven, Conn., and at present visiting in Ottawa with his mother. was kidnapped at Bay and Lisgar streets at 7.15 o'clock last night, and all efforts of police had failed to locate him or his abductors up to an I early hour this morning. No reason is known for the act.
When the unfamiliar cry of "kidnapping" echoed through the offices of the city police and detective departments last night, and was coupled with information that United States citizens were concerned, the authorities brought every agency into play in an effort to find a speedy solution to the crime.
Have No Clues. Their work was made difficult by total absence of clues to the identity of two men who were seen to drive away with him from Lisgar and Bay streets, only a short distance from the house at 618 Cooper street, at which he had been staying.
Radio broadcasts were made. giving all known information about the kidnappers' car, and a description of the missing boy. Royal Canadian Mounted Police were informed of the case in order that their various posts might be on the look-out for the car, and immigration authorities here, at the request of police, spread the alarm to border points to keep a close watch in case an effort was being made to take the young New Haven boy across the international border.
The victim of the kidnapping was described as of slender build, with brown hair and eyes, and dark complexion. He was wearing tan-colored linen shorts, purple shirt, and brown shoes and stockings.
Dr. Esposito, the boy's father. is reported to be at present in Honolulu. His wife, formerly Miss Violet Bunnell of Ottawa, came here with two of her children, Joseph and a small girl, to stay with her mother, Mrs. Beryl Bunnell, at 618 Cooper street. They have been here nearly a month. I and the missing boy had already made many friends in Ottawa.
Dr. and Mrs. Esposito have one other child, a son, Vincent. He was left in New Haven, Conn., although it was understood by his mother when she last saw him that he would at- tend a Y.M.C.A. camp near his native city this Summer.
Mrs. Esposito was at point of collapse a short time after the affair. when her son was missed, and enquiry revealed he had been carried off in a United States automobile. She was unable to assist police with information which might aid them to locate the child. Her sisters here, however, told the story of the affair last night, after an alarm had been spread over a wide area.
Sent to Store. Little Joseph Esposito had been sent by the family to the general store of Moses Segel, 296 Bay street, where the Bunnell family is well-known. The store is located at Bay and Lisgar streets. He arrived at the store and asked for two pounds of sugar. While the package was being made up for him, he went out of the store, spoke to a foreign-looking young man on the sidewalk, and in a few minutes entered a waiting automobile and was whisked away down Nepean street.
The child left behind him, on the sidewalk in front of Mr. Segel's store, the tricycle on which he had peddled over from his relatives' home on Cooper street.
The kidnapping happened at 7.15 o'clock. and the child was missed in a short time when he failed to return. to 618 Cooper street with the sugar. Police, notified of the affair, made a rapid survey of the district and learned from Stanley Fields, a little boy living at 571 Somerset street west, what had happened to the child.
Mrs. Moses Segel, who had served the child last evening. told The Journal shortly afterwards that he had vanished in the few minutes it took her to go into the rear of her store. and fill a bag with the sugar he ordered for his aunt.
Stanley Fields, who saw what happened to the child, declared to The Journal and police that the automobile which carried him away bore a foreign license plate. This was later proven to be a blue number disc of Connecticut registry.
The boy said that the automobile had stopped across the road from the Segel store while the Esposito child was inside. A young man, who had been sitting beside the driver, crossed the road and spoke to Joseph Esposito. They stood on the sidewalk together. then they both began to laugh, and the child ran towards the car with the young man after him. They both entered the car, and the driver turned in the direction of Nepean street. The automobile was soon out of sight.
Seemed to Know Him. Stanley Fields believed the youth who spoke to the boy was about 20 years old, and it seemed that the child knew him. The Ottawa boy was unable to assist the police materially with a description of the kidnappers' car or the men themselves. The car was described as a brown-colored coupe.
When notified of the affair, police at once set to work to trace the missing child. Detectives John Ritchie, Ubald Sauve and Albert Ouimet were at once assigned to the case. and they caused the missing boy's description to be broadcast and other agencies to be notified.
