Yeah 😂 I honestly don't even know why, or what the history is behind it. We do indeed have a state anthem also, and the lyrics are about as dumb as one might expect.

The thing about the whole “Chorus of millions pledging allegiance to the king” thing is that I can see the rationale behind it. Doesn’t make it any less hilariously stupid, but I can see the reasoning. Such as it is.

Presumably the thought process went something like, well, having only Peers and Lords swearing allegiance is a bit exclusionary, isn’t it? This is twenty-twenty-three! We should include people! We should include everyone! Throw it open to the public! Let everyone do it! No-one left out!

But you know, guys, it’s not very egalitarian SWEARING ALLIEGANCE to A MONARCH. It’s bad whichever way you slice that! You aren’t finding a way of making that not-awful! This is not a power to the people moment! It is, in fact, very much the opposite! By design!

There’s a sense in all of the coronation news that has dribbled through to me – which isn’t a lot, as I avoid news these days – that a lot of what is going into it is a heady blend of Charles’s weirdo ideas of updating the monarchy and also the desperate, grasping hope that in updating the monarchy it’ll somehow not only stay relevant but also actually serve as a means of bringing people together somehow.

And, lads, it’s not going to work. You do know that, right?

I don't understand why they made the story of totk look like it was ocarina of time.

After the hyrule civil war, where Links mother died, Ganondorf came to the castle to pledge alliegance to the king, probably because hyrules king was the one who won the civil war. The Hyrule civil war is kind of mysterious but the "warring" parties must consist of either of these; Hyrules army, the Zora, the Gorons or the Gerudo. The kokiri don't go to war, but there is an abandoned fortress in the forest, so it's possible that this was once a place where a potential opponent lived, and that they were then eradicated? Would explain all the ghosts and spooky things. In any case, Ganondorf pledged alliegance to the king, making the gerudo desert a part of Hyrule. In this cutscene he kneels exactly like Ganondorf from totk does when he pledges alliegance to the king and it could very well be a recreation of this scene. It could be the same Ganondorf, he does have the ears for it, but then Rauru and Sonia must be Zeldas parents, which seems highly unlikely because... Zelda looks nothing like a Zonai, and also looks nothing like Sonia. Zelda from breath of the wild has the same eye colour as Sonia, but oot Zelda has blue eyes. I guess Rauru has blue eyes, but does he have fur? Is his skin pale under the fur? Idk. In this scenario the fact that the sages are different and the events transpired differently doesn't matter because it could take place after Link came back to the past, aka the child timeline.

Come to think of it; this implies that there is a timeline where link defeats ganondorf, a timeline where link tells the king to not trust ganondorf, and a timeline where zelda from 20 000 years in the future tells the king to not trust ganondorf. So it could be possible that totk is showing us that this is what happened in the "downfall" timeline, it's not because Link died, it's just another time travel shenanigan.

I haven't played those games, but the games in the downfall timeline state that there was an ancient hero - a hero we assume is Link because Ocarina of time has always been stated to be a story about the ancient hero who defeated the demon king - that defeated the demon king in the imprisoning war. But could it be that this hero is actually Rauru? I don't know what it says in the actual game, but the wiki seems to be biased in favor of the established timeline and using theories as fact, so I can't completely trust it.

So what if the downfall timeline isn't where Link died, it's where Rauru died. I know there are triforce shenanigans at play too, but it's not impossible that ganon stole the triforce in his demon form that we know can come out despite Raurus seal.

It makes sense that ganon has only been seen in the form of a beast in the downfall timeline, as well as the fact that he needs to be constantly resurrected using magic, since his human/gerudo body is sealed. The gerudo have since become a friendly nation so it makes sense that if no one wants to resurrect him, there may very well be 10 000 years of peace?

Anyway I'll stop rambling now

James and Liam have been friends since they were children despite James' father forbidding the friendship. Liam is the reason why James ranaway vowing to do whatever it took to disband the elder pack. Liam owing his life to the young werewolf pledged his alliegance to James and together they work together to thwart the pack.
