I have a guy who's just a background character, but he's got to be a bit more central just for this one chapter, and now all of a sudden I have a guy with a complex backstory and a desire for a story arc, except his story doesn't slot into this story OR into the other story that I'm already planning as a spinoff to the current one.

The defintion of hell is knowing a show is incredibly well-received in its first season, but if people don’t become machines churning out tweets, content, and rewatching 24/7, there’s no likelihood it’ll get a chance to tell its whole story. This shit is madness. Shows in different genres shouldn’t have to pit-battle for dominance. First seasons are MEANT to be baselines establishing worlds and characters, not complete storylines. The idea that this golden age of television has turned into “get it done in one or get out” is revolting.

With the reveal that Aduo didn’t actually want to be the mother of the nation, looks like we now have a concrete path to a happy ending for Jinshi.

Though I actually really want to see him as the Emperor one day (at least for a time), it would be thematically appropriate if Jinshi takes not after the Emperor, but after Gaoshun and becomes the retainer of the future Emperor.

imagine saying the state literally committing a genocide in order to colonize and ethnically cleanse an entire civilization and history is. not engaging in violent colonialism

the government is not the same entity as everyone who has ever lived there or ever contributed to the culture and history of judaism. the israeli state is committing atrocities and some of its population contributes obviously (idf). but you need to separate the israeli state from people who are jewish and ppl who happen to have been born there but disagree with the genocide. pretending like critiquing the state automatically includes these groups, or has anything to do with jewish history or culture, is a tool used to deflect accusations of the war crimes israel is actively committing. please think critically

swifties!!! i have been looking since november for 2 tickets to the first night of the eras tour in kansas city so that my mom and i can go. she was the one who introduced me to taylor in 2006 and going to her concerts together has been our Thing. we got shafted by ticketmaster multiple times and now because of the speak now tv announcement are so afraid we won’t be able to find any tickets. if you have an extra code or know of anyone who is selling tickets, PLEASE let me know!!! i appreciate it so much :)
