That's all from Capp Manor, at least for now! Originally I had a big epic storyline planned for this household but, honestly, there was enough going on with Consort's death and two weddings. Plus I enjoy regular old gameplay more than fancy pre-planned stories at the moment, haha.

I am thinking I will most likely move Tybalt and Tiave out on their own next season, but haven't decided whether they will also bring along Cordelia. Maybe she'd prefer to keep an eye on Juliette? Or move in with Malcolm Downtown? I dunno yet!

As for Juliette and Junior, I'm interested to see where their marriage takes them. Juliette always dreamt of having a large family, but has she changed too much for that to still be worth pursuing? Will Junior come clean about his existing kid, Rose? I'm excited to find out :D

As for the Montys, we'll be seeing them soon...

I just rewatched Pleasantville for the first time since I was a kid and it's way more than I remember. It starts out with just "hey, what if 2 stubborn 90s teenagers went into a 50s sitcom? What could go wrong??" to a whole amazing commentary on how damaging conservativeness can be with heavy themes of racial segregation, sexism, book burnings, purity culture primarily on the topic of sex, a whole court case, etc.. It's so fucking good, but I did not go into it with such serious topics in mind 😭 I was hoping for something light hearted, but I don't regret revisiting it.

Also, the CINEMATOGRAPHY??? Gorgeous. Especially the color grading as people slowly gain color as they gain sentience. Oh yeah, I didn't even touch on the commentary on how free will is an amazing thing and how no one choice is the right one. As long as you are kind to others, you're okay. You don't have to be perfect and that's okay. Damn this is definitely up there on my list of movies

Beau came home from school and made a beeline for the bathtub

It's been officially longer than a year since I last posted gameplay pics...

For the most part of 2022, I couldn't play The Sims because I shared a computer and we couldn't agree on it. Then I played it for like, 2 months (in 2023!) on my bf's computer, but I couldn't take any screenshots 😭 And now, since October of 2023, I've been in England working as a volunteer, with no access to a personal computer. My friend was kind enough to lend me his laptop a few weeks ago so that I could finally play a bit, but it's not ideal because, well, it's his, and he needs it for work outside of the volunteering. I might be able to get my hands on a new laptop soon though (!!!!!!), and I'm really excited about finally being able to remove the "hiatus" from my bio! Or at least replace it with "semi hiatus", you know lol

I obviously won't be able to even remember what's gone on in my households, but at least I'll be back to playing once every few weeks and documenting my stuff. If everything works out, I should be here in one or two weeks, posting unedited screenshots of my game, like I used to, and getting 2 to 5 likes on each post <3 Just how I like it!
