I went from Pennsic to Steel City Con, and I am TIRED.
I sketched these fine folks today during the con. Found a cool ink brush I've never used and decided to play around with some light studies. ^_^
More Plague Rat later this week.

Pestilence - Dark and Pale versions 🦠
Yep, sexy plague doctors! I tried to keep both skin tones looking somewhat sickly, what do you think?

When one appoints oneself the physician sub rosa of a palimpsestic city, one sometimes finds difficulties maintaining ongoing regimens of treatment in the face of more official infrastructural business.
Which is to say: A storm was coming, and I needed to flip some switches in the underdepths, or unpleasantness was sure to follow. In my shirtsleeves (as it is often messy work), I made my preparations to descend.
The shadow of a station that was.
Certain places are entered by means unknown to city workers.
An apt phrase, for so they are.
Down here, as one ventures into the city's anastomoses...
One encounters typical tracks...
With typical trains upon them.
And one encounters also...
Older things.
Deeper things.
Things that require a certain degree of circumspection.
Hello, old friend. Just passing through, I assure you.
Hope, inverted. Locked twice.
No, thrice.
Ah.
Yes.
Quite.
My duty done, I head homeward.
Up...
Up...
Out.
And so farewell.

Poor DJ. He's probably wondering if the guy he's rooming with is a serial killer in the making. That sounds familiar, doesn't it? ^_~
Fun Autopsy Fact 1: They're not that bloody. There's some fluids and such, but usually there's not much blood at all.
Fun Fact 2: Yes, those are branch cutters DJ's handing off to the student nurse. While shears for cutting through the ribs to open up the chest cavity exist, they're really hard on your hands and can be hard to angle. Branch choppers like what you see here are a lot easier to use.
Autopsy Facts courtesy my friend G12G4, who's done a decent number of them and used to work on a body farm.
By the way - How many jobs do you think Cal's had?
