I was so sad when they cut Luke teaching Percy sword fighting from earlier episodes, one of the main reasons being because it would have meant that they couldn’t reasonably have Luke giving Percy instructions during the Ares fight, but having sword fighting lesson flashbacks during the fight was genius it tied everything together really well and made so much sense considering Luke hasn’t been in a huge portion of the show and your average viewer wouldn’t necessarily recognise his voice

I'm sorry but the heroic music playing while we watch blue pancakes being made by Sally Jackson herself was the perfect way to end season one

Just finished the show and even though I’ve read and reread and reread the books I don’t know why this never hit me before….
The only difference between Luke and Percy is that one of them managed to save their mom.

slightly off-putting luke headcanon
hermes has always just wanted his father's attention. and this trait has been passed down to luke. at the end of the day, no matter where our allegiances lie, I think a lot of us understand luke. you could be a percy ride-or-die, or a grover fanatic, and know that both of them couldn't have existed without luke. and luke, is just like his father

The absence of police in the final episode, whilst making the episode flow much better, also leaves us with the implication that Percy is never cleared of domestic terrorism and will be considered a run away forever.

Okay but where are all the non-book-readers that didn't know Luke was the traitor and why haven't I seen any reactions from them

PJO FINALE SPOILERS. MOVE MOVE MOVE MOVE MOVE
I hope the red caught your attention. Anyway-
“Percy realized Luke was the traitor too quickly!”
These kids realize a lot of stuff too quickly but Luke being the traitor isn’t one of them. It makes a ton of sense to me that Percy would realize something is wrong and start to put the pieces together, especially since Luke is right in front of him so he can see how he reacts to certain things.
“You shall be betrayed by one who calls you friend”
Percy doesn’t have that many friends. At this point, it’s only Annabeth, Grover and Luke. Annabeth and Grover hadn’t betrayed him so with process of elimination, it had to be Luke. He didn’t want it to be. The thought probably crossed his mind but he refused to believe it.
Does it make sense that Luke wouldn’t tell Chiron it was Clarisse because they didn’t have proof? Yes. But Percy wasn’t like “oh you didn’t tell him so it must be you”. He thought over the prophecy and was like “oh shit” and put the pieces together. Percy isn’t stupid and he was finally given a moment to breathe and think stuff over. Honestly the only evidence he needs to think this way is the fact the shoes started bugging and flew to Tartarus specifically, like that’s what they were told to do. Who gave him the shoes? Luke. Who was supposed to wear them? Percy. What did he have? The bolt. Who’s down there? Kronos. Clarisse also isn’t his friend so if she was the thief, the prophecy would’ve been wrong because he hadn’t been betrayed.
The scorpion was cool and I wanted to see it, but I thought the finale was also good. Personally I like them both equally. That’s just me tho, so if you don’t agree that’s fine. We ain’t gotta tussle.
