To everyone who wants Taylor under a guillotine chopping block for “sensationalising/glamorising mental illness”…. For a woman who has talked about s**c*de so often in her works, for a woman who has visibly cried on stage in front of thousands, for a woman who is constantly scrutinised by everyone for who she’s with, where she travels, how she travels, what she wears, what she says, what she doesn’t say… do you really think she’s okay? That she doesn’t have to constantly work to pull herself out of dark thoughts on maybe a daily basis? Moreover, do you really think she’s going to give delicate information about the genuine states of her mental wellbeing to an audience that behaves more like vultures than people? The entire point of ttpd is her telling everyone that she is by no stretch a perfect human being. That she doesn’t want to be looked at as that statue on a pedestal anymore. That she’s ready to show you her ugliest sides just so that you’ll let her be. And yet……

Been busy digesting ttpd and trying to come to terms with everything I’ve heard.

This is an album for the core fans to truly understand and accept. For people who were here pre-snake gate. Before pop-stardom. For people who heard SN and saw glimpses of cracks that she tried to edit out and who heard folklore/evermore and saw through the mirage of fiction.

Ttpd feels like an album Taylor wrote and didn’t think about editing to make it “look good”. To make herself “look good”. It’s just truth. It’s just pain. It’s just a battle cry and a knee-deep prayer, to her fans in particular, to stop putting her on a pedestal, to stop demanding certain behaviours and moralities from her that they themselves don’t adhere to. It’s her letting everything that’s happened over the last decade go and the listener can hear how much she had just churning in her gut.

Overall, I think this is my favourite album of hers. The first half of the album has the pop vibes and the second half is more folkevermore driven but all of it just a culmination of everything she has been through and survived and now? It’s time to move on. I also think that after this and the last two TVs are released, we’re not getting a new album from her for a while. I think she’s going to try to focus on film and will keep writing for herself because, as we know, this is her therapy. But I genuinely think that we’re not getting a new album for a while and I also think bestie needs a break even if all she does is cry and be hella productive. Take a break bestie.

About 5 hours to go before my favourite album comes out and completely breaks my heart. I should be sleeping, but no.

Let me start with this: I love the show. It has some of the best character arcs, storylines and visuals I have ever seen. Despite its faults and occasionally infuriating choices, I will always ALWAYS simply adore the show.

The worst decision ever made was killing Carl. I will ALWAYS be mad about that and ALWAYS hate them for it because it had absolutely NO payoff. Did Glenn’s death hurt like a mothafucka? Yup. Did it add to the story and plot? Yup. Same with Abraham and Herschel and Beth and Rosita and Noah and Tara and Enid and even fucking Merle. But Carl????????? CARRRROOLLLLLLL?????? Literally nothing.

Absolute. Fucking. Stupidity.

Why are these emotions rising up now, you may ask? Because TOWL is a beauty of a show and it manages to capture a nostalgia and a beginning (of sorts) that has a lot of promise. The show is genuinely good. The actors are acting. It’s giving. But (SPOILERS AHEAD) while Rick returns home to his family, the most important person isn’t there. Can you imagine how much more the payoff would’ve been if Carl had been there too? Or if Carl had gone off somewhere and Rick gets to know he’s built a relationship with Negan??? There was so much potential, so much that could’ve been done, so many ways to reach an inevitable ending that feels right and satisfactory. But that ALL, literally ALL OF THAT depended on Carl being alive. On Chandler being a part of the show because goddamn did that kid understand the bones of his character.

One fucking decision, just one, that imo fucked up the show in the worst way possible.

That man is literally stalking his meal right there y’all and lemme tell you, he’s famished.

Sedate me now for I shall most definitely NOT survive.
