sharpay is definitely a favorite, she's iconic.
I really like pacifica from gravity falls too!
I also really like the himbo characters a lot lol. launchpad, ethan craft, and pj duncan might be favorites there (london gets a shoutout as honorary herbo lol)
hanukkah has been good so far! we haven't really done anything special this yeah, just my family lighting the menorah each night. my mom did make latkes though and they were good

What were the first names of the characters played by Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly in 'Byker Grove'?
Tumblr media
'Byker Grove' is a British television show which aired from 1989 to 2006. The show was aimed at older teenagers and young adults and tackled serious and sometimes controversial storylines, such as the first gay kiss on children’s television. Set in a youth club in the Byker district of Newcastle Upon Tyne, the show featured many characters, including PJ Jenkins and Duncan Sperring, played by Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.
The show launched the careers of McPartlin and Donnelly, who went on to become the iconic British television presenting duo 'Ant & Dec'. Due to the pair's popularity in 'Byker Grove', they were inspired to form the pop duo PJ & Duncan in 1993, releasing singles such as 'Let's Get Ready to Rhumble' and 'Tonight I'm Free'.
As television presenters, the duo currently host 'Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway', 'I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!', and 'Britain's Got Talent'. On 28th January 2020, the duo were awarded the Guinness World Record for "the most National Television Awards won consecutively for Best Presenter". They have won every year since 2001.

content warnings: fire, violence/aggression, alcohol, and there’s a a smidgen of dried blood on the collar of someone else who pops up in a few of the gifs ( jake wood )  episodes: i can’t remember the exact date of the episode, but it must’ve been december 2017 ( storyline-wise it was just before the christmas day roof incident that left me scarred for life, and there’s tinsel on the wall; looks like december to me )  also featuring: lorna fitzgerald, scott maslen, jake wood.

SCD Week 7 Songs
I’m buzzing about one and gutted about another but let’s get into it XD.
Alex and Neil: Ain't No Mountain High Enough by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell (American Smooth) - Omg my old PT used to play this song before EVERY PT session every Thursday of first year I’d just hear this XD. Sure it’ll be fine!
Emma and Anton: Woman In Love by Barbra Streisand (Rumba) - Are they just only going to dance to Barbra Streisand songs?? I think Emma could possibly do well at the Rumba as it’s so loose and slow for a latin XD.
V.Emma and Aljaz: I Don't Care by Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber (Samba) - Don’t know this song, don’t really care to be honest. My opinions on V.Emma keep flying up and down all over the place so we’ll see where it lands this week XD.
( @missemperor ) Michelle and Giovanni: Another One Bites the Dust by Queen (Paso Doble) - REALLY would not have had this song down as a Paso song but I’m sure Gio can make it work XD.
Saffron and AJ: Instruction by Jax Jones featuring Demi Lovato and Stefflon Don (Salsa) - Oh I can already tell I’m not gonna like Saffron in the Salsa oops XD. Now I don’t know this song either but I’ve noticed with all the modern songs that are done on this show, all the artists are multiple? Like they’re never just by one artist? Do artist nowadays just... not have their own brand?
Chris and Karen: Let’s Get Ready To Rhumble by PJ and Duncan (Couple’s Choice Street/Commercial) -
Tumblr media
Well I think it’s safe to say this will be the best dance of the series, iconic, amazing, that’s it. The series is over as far as I’m concerned.
Karim and Amy: Mr Pinstripe Suit by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy (Quickstep) - WHO CALLS THEMSELVES DADDY. AS LIKE AN OFFICIAL TITLE. Well, apart from Big Daddy but he’s the exception cos he’s an icon. ANYWAY I’m not quite sure how Karim will do at the quickstep but judging from the... judges (huh) he needs to really show something great XD.
Kelvin and Oti: Say Something by A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera (Viennese Waltz) - What did I tell you about artists XD. Oof a slow and elegant ballroom again this should be interesting for Kelvin XD.
Mike and Katya: Those Magnificent Men In Their Flying Machines by The Ron Goodwin Orchestra (Charleston) - THIS IS THE ONE I WAS MAD ABOUT. How DARE they try to step on the iconic Charleston Kimberly and Pasha did, which, by the way, was THE DANCE OF 2012.
Tumblr media
I’ll never recover from this, first she was robbed and now the good name of her iconic Charleston song is going to be dragged through the mud with nettles and brambly bits. BBC I will never forgive you for this betrayal.
Will and Janette: Weekend in New England by Barry Manilow (Waltz) - Omg a Waltz should be nice on Will if he’s still a bit injured I’m so looking forward to seeing him again <3.
Wow looking at the list my most looking forward to and most dreading is the same XD. This actually looks an interesting week!! Well, apart from a couple you know the ones I mean XD.

Happy Birthday Mondeo Man – But the times they are a-changing…
Nineties cars at risk as iconic Mondeo marks Silver Jubilee
Just 322 early Mondeos remain as Ford that represented Blair’s Britain reaches major milestone
Once familiar Nineties cars now in scant supply, says Honest John Classics
Top 10 ‘endangered’ list has only half a percent survival rate
‘Mondeo Man’ now drives a Mercedes C-Class or a Nissan Qashqai
It was the year Wet Wet Wet topped the charts, that Alan Shearer became the UK’s most expensive footballer, that Charles and Di separated, and we all had to pay 15% interest rates as the pound crashed out of Europe. But 1992 was also the year Ford launched one of the best-selling cars ever made: the Mondeo. Fast-forward 25 years and while the 1990s are enjoying something of a revival, the cars that kept the decade moving are on the verge of extinction, according to consumer motoring website Honest John Classics. Unveiled on November 23, 1992, the Ford Mondeo was a truly global model. But despite more than 88,660 examples being sold in the UK during the car’s first full year of production, only 322 of those survive – just 0.36%. ‘We’ve seen a lot of 1990s nostalgia in the past few years with everything from Britpop to PJ & Duncan making a comeback,’ said Keith Moody, editor of Honest John Classics. ‘But 1990s cars are on the brink of disappearing completely. ‘Former Prime Minister Tony Blair used the term ‘Mondeo Man’ to capture the image of the self-made man of middle England, owning his own home, earning a decent wage, supporting his family – a swing voter looking to back the political party that put the most money in his pocket. [caption id="attachment_15463" align="aligncenter" width="2464"] Happy Birthday Mondeo Man – But the times they are a-changing…[/caption] ‘Now the Mondeo’s fate is typical of so many 1990s cars that we grew up with. Bought for a bag of chips, run on a shoestring, and thrown in the bin. At this rate, there won’t be any left for future generations to enjoy. ‘The classic car sector is worth £5.5bn to the UK economy with more than one-million classics on the road and employing 35,000 people*. It’s easy to forget that established classics like the Morris Minor and the Ford Cortina were seen as affordable transport once – rather than the big money prices paid today’ When the Mondeo went on sale in 1993, the UK’s best-selling car was the Ford Escort, which achieved 122,002 sales. Today, just 460 1993 Escorts remain - or 0.37 per cent of the total. The three most endangered 1993 cars from the Top 10 Sellers list are the Mk1 Renault Clio (220 survivors), the Rover Metro (249) and the Peugeot 405 (250). ‘These are the cars that petrolheads in their 30s and 40s grew up with. That they learnt to drive in. That they went on family holidays in. These are the next-generation of classic cars – and they’re being bought by people who want to be reminded of their connection to times, people, and places who might no longer be with them.’ Ultimately, the writing is on the wall for Ford’s world car. The Mondeo no longer makes the list of top ten best-selling cars in the UK, with ‘Mondeo Man’ now much more likely to drive a Mercedes C-class or a Nissan Qashqai. For fans of 1990s cars, Honest John Classics is a must-visit website. Unlike other classic titles, it focuses on accessible, affordable everyday classics of today and of the future, with a huge focus on the cars of the Eighties and Nineties that tend to attract the most attention these days.
