my persona 5 fics

the shelf life of a persona fic is nonexistent i have discovered so i wanted to make a big post of my old fics lmao

the only incomplete fic and non oneshot here

stuck in the middle - 19k, 3 chapters published. A Joker's Palace AU taking place in the summer post-Royal, following the rest of the Phantom Thieves as they make their way through the Palace and confront Joker's issues. You know. Palace fic.

blood capsules - 2.1k, akeshu. real detective/thief au. Akechi interrupts the leader of the Phantom Thieves in the middle of a heist.

lazarus taxa - 2.5k, akeshu-ish. Akechi and Akira run into each other 10 years postcanon. Akira thought Akechi was dead. They talk.

the most dangerous thing is to love - 5.1k, akeshu-ish. written with my beloved friend @/kaetor. Joker makes it over the bulkhead in the engine room before Akechi gets the chance to seal himself in to die.

oh, you can't unmake me - 5.7k, akechi-centric. Akechi wakes up in Maruki's reality with something that is definitely not him in control of his body.

judgement by the hounds - 7.1k, akeshu. werewolf/vampire au. akira starts transforming at the worst possible time, and, okay, maybe he should have double checked if it was a full moon before getting drinks with a monster hunter.

when the heart would cease - 13k, akeshu. fantasy au. akechi wakes up in his own grave following his punishment failing to kill akira, with a year to avenge his death.

where the void sings - 3.4k. Sae and Akechi investigate a series of supernatural incidents, from a crashed train full of spiders to the suspiciously normal murder of kunikazu okumura

blood, guts, and chocolate cake - 3.6k, shujin trio-centric. so you know that feeling when your gym teacher is both an abhorrent person and some kind of meat monster so you have to hunt him down and murder him? (canned laughter)

so everyone knows my ASAU of Persona 5 Royal, A Righteous Rebellion. right? And we're all also aware of @scruffyturtles' Adult Confidant AU?

well I sorta fused them? tldr: i made a (mostly) Adult Confidant AU for ARR! Details below, if you're interested - and if you have any questions about it, please ask @rollthedice-playthecards or this blog here!

WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS FOR ARR! CANON-STANDARD TRIGGER WARNINGS!

The Fool and Strength (i.e. Igor & Caroline/Justine/Lavenza) are the same. Otherwise, everyone's changed.

The World (i.e. Protagonist) is Tae Takemi!

Her parents were abusive shitheads to her, and she got into a program that helped her escape for Tokyo.

Her first Persona is Merit-Ptah, a fictitious woman purported to be a chief physician of an Ancient Egyptian pharaoh and thus one of the oldest known women in medicine and science.

The Magician is Sadamu Niijima (transmasc!Sae)!

The home invasion that killed Mr. Niijima also led to his death, but Igor came upon his soul and reincarnated him into a hound (because of Shadow Sae's tattoos) for The Yaldabaoth Game™.

His first Persona is Turiddu, a Sicilian bandit whose gang was "legally held responsible" for a massacre, although the entirely of their role in it is disputed.

The Priestess is Sadayo Kawakami!

She was a member of Student Council, but when she brought up Kamoshida's abuse to Principal Omon "Bael" Kobayakawa, she lost her seat. Kobayakawa actually replaces Kaneshiro as the third major target.

Her first Persona is Elissa, legendary founder and queen of Carthage... oh, and I will be shipping her with Tae for my Kawakemi agenda. :)

The Empress is Chihaya Fukurai (Mifune)!

Yuichi "Mammon" Fukurai, her adoptive father, runs Fukurai Foods (Big Bang Burger's owner and more). Chihaya was setting up to inherit the business when Yuichi "changed his mind" and prepared to sell her off in an arranged marriage to Rikio Sugimura.

Her first Persona is Lakshmibai, an Indian rani who rebelled against the Bri'ish.

The Emperor is Sojiro Sakura!

He's a culinary prodigy studying under his adoptive parent (I haven't decided who yet, but they're Azazel) - a TV chef who runs a kids' competition a la Chopped Junior. They definitely abuse some of those kids.

His Initial Persona is Hamlet, the famous Shakespearean Prince of Denmark.

The Hierophant is Makoto Niijima, owner of Cafe Bianca.

She's been looking for her estranged younger "sister" for years now.

The Lovers is Munehisa Iwai!

Munehisa is Shujin’s star athlete. Excels in every sport in Shujin except volleyball, from which he was banned after standing up to Suguru "Asmodeus" Kamoshida.

Kaoru, his younger brother here, takes the role of Shiho, and Akimitsu Tsuda and Masa replace Nakaoka and Takeishi.

His Initial Persona is Barrow, a Great Depression-era criminal who robbed small stores, funeral homes and banks with his partner Ms. Parker.

The Chariot is Ichiko Ohya!

Leader of the photography club. She caught photos of Kamoshida’s dirty deeds in the past and is trying to find a way to expose them anonymously. Oh, and she has a long-distance girlfriend named Kayo.

Her Initial Persona is O'Malley, an Irish pirate queen so violent Elizabeth I considered sending the Royal Fleet after.

Justice is Toranosuke Yoshida!

I sort of split Goro's two roles in this AU. Toranosuke plays the Detective Prince trying to solve the case of mental shutdowns (+ the Phantom Thief case), but his brother-by-choice Benzo Kuramoto plays assassin and mental-shutdown-inducer for Masao Kuramoto, his grandfather. Tora joins the team in Oda's Palace, and they fight Benzo in Kuramoto's Palace - that's where Toranosuke achieves his Second Persona.

Speaking of Personas, his Initial one is Greenlefe, Robin Hood's second-in-command and the only one present at his death.

The Hermit is Takuto Niijima (Maruki)!

Makoto had a brief stint as a police officer, but after a influential asshole (Kuramoto) drove drunk and killed one Tomoyo Rumi, she attempted to dig into the situation and was dishonorably discharged. Soon after, she met Rumi's boyfriend, Takuto (an orphan with one shitty relative), and took him in.

He would be a third-year if he was still in school. He’s wasting away as he grieves Rumi's death. He can’t bring himself to kill himself, but he also doesn't want to be alive anymore.

His Initial Persona is Popol Vuh, a religious text of the mythology and history of the Kʼicheʼ Guatemalans.

The Fortune is Hifumi Hibino (Togo)!

After Mitsuyo disowned Hifumi for coming out as lesbian, Hifumi moved in with her wife Haru (they both end up with Makoto later). Hifumi took up busking/street shogi, not wanting to be reliant on Haru.

The Hanged Man is Akira Kurusu!

Not much for this guy right now - like Canon!Munehisa, he's an ex-yakuza who runs Indomptable, an airsoft store. Ren is his adoptive son.

Death is Sumire Yoshizawa!

A medical misdiagnosis (by her biological mother Yui, not that she knows it) left Sumire's sister in a coma. Ever since, Sumire can't see anyone unconscious without thinking of Kasumi.

Temperance is Ryuji Sakamoto!

An orphaned man who teaches PE at Shujin and moonlights in an escort service to take care of himself and his son Morgana.

Just after his college years, his mom's ex-husband killed her and then killed himself to escape the police, so he has no support system. Thus, he got himself into trouble with a duo of loan sharks so he could look presentable enough to replace Kamoshida.

He, Ann and Shiho were friends in high-school, but he never saw them again after graduating.

The Devil is Ann Takamaki!

An up-and-coming actress working hard to make it big. She's keeping her sexuality (and her girlfriends Shiho Suzui and Mika Abe) under wraps from everyone, including her manager.

At the end of the Confidant, she moves in with her old friend (and future boyfriend) Ryuji after Tae mentions him.

The Tower is Goro Shido (Akechi)!

Goro is a very temperamental young man with no methods of healthily and safely letting out his anger at the world and his shitty, abusive father.

After Shido's heart is changed, Ryuji (and Ann and Shiho) take Goro in.

The Star is Zenkichi Hasegawa!

Even if Zen doesn't know it, he's the best player in the shogi club at Kosei. It's discovered their "team" has been fixing matches, and Zenkichi is determined to find out who's cheating.

Jyun Owada, his senpai and club president, is jealous, and is trying to cause strife between him and his girlfriend Aoi to weaken him.

The Moon is Sophia Ichinose!

Sophia is a Greek immigrant who moved to Japan for work opportunities. She's Tae's science teacher, so Tae really likes her. Her daughter Kuon, however, has fallen in with a HORRIBLY nasty crowd - a bigoted group who hates (among other groups of people) Kuon's adoptive mother. Kuon, naturally, is conflicted, and this leads to conflict between her and Sophia.

The Sun is Haru Hibino!

A young politician whose bold eat-the-wealthy mentality does not sit well with older generations - for example, her father Kunikazu, who disowned her and silently smeared her campaigns so she'd waste her inheritance and never expose his criminality.

In the end of the whole story, Haru legalizes polyamorous marriage!

Judgement is Shinya Oda!

Uses they/them pronouns here.

After Shinya's mother Hanae was killed in cold blood, they joined the SIU to find the killer. She did something to piss off Kuramoto, though, so he and the director do everything they can to keep Shinya away from that.

The Faith is Wakaba Isshiki!

Daughter of Shujin's new counselor. A science prodigy.

I don't have much ideas for her yet, never mind her Personas.

The Councillor is Futaba Isshiki!

Shujin's aforementioned new counselor in the wake of Kamoshida's arrest. Believing the world to be "without life" without her deceased fiancee Kana, her Palace becomes a Graveyard, where she "raises the dead" by fixing their problems.

She only has one Persona - Chac Chel, an important Maya goddess of many things, most prominently both creation and destruction.

The Hope is Yuuki (Mishima)!

His ranged weapon is eye lasers. They use both he/him and they/them.

An A.I. made by Katsuo Akiyama, a regretful high-school bully who caused one of his victims to commit suicide.

Their first Persona is Thyrsus - a giant fennel staff that Yuuki uses like a weapon alongside the Persona aspect of it.

The Apostle is Yusuke Kitagawa!

The only original Phantom Thief to keep the power of Persona.

Ordered by Madarame Ichitaro (the killer of his mother and Police Commissioner) to investigate the Phantom Thieves after a series of mass heart-changings occur again.

Akane has a brother, Natsuhiko, and they share the Jail. Their mother, Takayo (Yusuke's beard) is still dead.

His Persona is Enjolras, and he later gets with Akira.

Lastly, a unique Arcana - The Actor, Morgana Sakamoto!

A theater prodigy at his school (not Shujin or Kosei) and Ryuji's son. He has no clues to his past before Ryuji, and he wants to know, but he also wants his dad to be happy. At the end of the Strikers arc, Lavenza becomes human, and he and Goro get the Sakamotos to adopt her as well.

Ok, I’ve had a Persona 5 X Shining Nikki AU rattling around in my head for a while now.

If you are interested In my ramblings continue onwards, otherwise I hope y’all have a good day/night!

The only reason this AU exists is because I think P5 and SN’s stories are surprisingly similar in theme. Just with the “let’s believe in humanity and save it while using powers that come from a place between reality and myth” thing going on. Also, I’m not super into angst or lore in this AU. I could conjure up some if people are interested, but most of this is fluff headcannonimg. Also Also this is a chaotic mess of a post, so apologies for very disjointed thoughts at times, but I couldn’t care more for organization right now.

In my own personal head cannon of SN, the way I describe how styling power works is that, stylists can use and or make their own Designer Reflections freely, however they cannot use other people’s. (Ex: Nikki can use her own, but she can’t use Momo DR). The only person who can use DR made by another stylist is the player. (My player is named Lily Kayla so that is what I will be referring to her as!). Nikki simply has more styling power than most people and Lily Kayla is the one who channels other DRs for Nikki to use.

Now, I don’t particularly care whether Nikki, Lily Kayla, and Momo go to the P5 universe, or if the Phantom Thieves go the SN universe. I have ideas for both which I will now ramble about. SN in P5 is here if you scroll down a bit.

Phantom Thieves in the Shining Nikki Universe

If the PTs go to the SN universe, I think they would be considered stylists and their Persona would transfer over into having a main style. Here’s a list that I will makeup on the spot now along with which nation style they would best fit into!

Joker: cool, north or apple

Mona: cool or cute, apple

Skull: fresh, apple

Panther: Sexy or cute, apple

Fox: elegant, cloud

Queen: cool or sexy, north

Oracle: cool, wasteland or ruin

Noir: cute, pigeon or Ninir

Crow: elegant and then cool, Ninir change to north

Violet: elegant or cute, Ninir or pigeon

There’s a lot of “cool” in there I know, but I just think it fits.

And now jumping into character interactions because that’s the main reason why I like crossover stuff in the first place.

I think Lily Kayla would totally show the ark off to the PTs. She would also show off a lot of DRs which she has acquired. Sorika (SN’s version of the gentlewoman thief) would definitely be on the list to show off. I think Lily would also show off or meet up with Ai, simply for Futaba’s sake. I could also see possibly something coming up the Justiciars and the PTs could go and meet Zoey’s crew. Maybe Zoey could show Ann more ways to use her whip along with general gun skills. I’d like to think that Nikki would surprise them with how good her gun skills are, or something of the sort.

Lily Kayla, Nikki, and Momo would definitely take the PTs on like, a small tour or something (I have no idea how big Miraland actually is). Yusuke would definitely get lost looking at something and I think he would just have a good time in general. I also want the cat not cats to talk to each other. See how that conversation would go or something. I think Futaba would also freak out at the prospect of Ruin Island until the Phantom Thieves come to find out what happened.

The entire Glow arc along side Modric having the ability the remove people memories with music could definitely be connected with Maruki’s entire thing. The PTs and the Shining Gang would have some interesting topics that they could convene on.

Oh! Nikki and Lily Kayla would definitely dress the PTs up with their extensive wardrobe. I actually have a picture I drew of the PTs in casual outfits, but I won’t add it here because I’m not even halfway through and I could still keep going. I also think Lily would like to show off their models guns and swords which they own for the purpose of ✨fashion✨. That’s mostly the gist of this half of the au. There’s definitely more that I’ve thought of, but I’ll cut this part short before it turns into a small fanfiction.

Shining Nikki in the Persona 5 Universe

I think that Nikki and Lily Kayla would be in the P5 universe thanks to one of Aeon’s experiments. They would initially end up in Momentos, and whether they met the PTs while they were in Momentos or after they escape from it, I don’t really care. I’m just kinda open to anything really.

Because Lily Kayla is the only one who has access to multiple DRs, I think she would be placed in the wildcard/velvet attendant spot. Specifically, I think she would be Nikki’s velvet attendant and Nikki would be considered the wild card. I think that upon first arrival that Justine and Caroline would throw her in a jail cell and Joker would have to bargain with them (maybe a plea deal or something) to get her out. From then on Lily doesn’t go near the Velvet Room anymore. (I also have a drawing of Lily in an attendant outfit, but as stated before, unless someone asks for it I’ll leave it for a different post). (I should also make Nikki a PT outfit!!).

DRs would change from having style elements to Metaverse Elements. Here are a few outfits I think would get used often and what element I think they would have. (Btw, I’m going off of my own personal collection, so if there’s a better DR which would fit an element that I don’t have, that’s why I didn’t mention it! :)) (also please keep in mind that I’ve never actually played P5 or P5R, I’ve just watched RTgame play it on twitch/youtube)

Caprico•Cold Flame: Nuke/Electric

Yunikina•Song of Dawn: Ice

Erinka•Banquet of Passion: Fire

Qin Yi•Phoenix out of Palace: Fire

Etc. I think you get the idea because I could list DR and what metaverse element I think they could be forever, but I’m going to stop myself here. I think Lily Kayla would often switch who she’s using just to get a feel for who’s good for what.

But, general overview, most of Zoey’s DR are gonna by gun/physical, Caprico’s or anyone from Ruin is gonna be Nuke or Electric, Lilith’s Curse/Dark, Nikki, Stars, and Light elves are Bless/Light, etc. etc. (if you want to know more then ask and I’ll respond!)

MOVING ON!!! —->

I think Lily Kayla in the real world (outside of Momentos) would be incorporeal. Kinda like Morgana where unless you’ve seen them in the Metaverse or know that they exist, they’ll be a ghost or Phantom (haha) otherwise.

Speaking of Lily Kayla!! Because she is basically my OC at this point I have some extra points I’d like to bring up. She’d probably make the connection from the Velvet Room to the Ark and talk to either Justine and Caroline or Joker about the Sea of Souls vs the Ocean of Memories. I think Lily Kayla would rope Nikki into telling the PTs about how they defeated the Goddess of Desire from their world sometime after the PTs explain how Momentos and Palaces work. Also, she’d be absolutely horrified by the fusions. Perhaps ever traumatized. Lily’s way of summoning DR in this world is through her mirror thing. As long as she has that, I kinda think it would work like a compendium of sorts.

When the DRs get summoned in Momentos, Lily and Nikki can control what elements from the outfit and the memory get summoned. Key word can. Most of the time I think they would just summon the whole outfit and memory to save the trouble, but I do think in certain times that specific parts of an outfit could be summoned at a time. (Ex: like only summoning Zoey’s Gun, Netga’s Mech or any other accessory to an outfit. With only summoning memories, it’d only be so that Lily or Nikki could talk to them or get advice from them).

Now for outside stuff that could happen!! Maybe once Lily Kayla becomes more physical (or maybe not I’m not picky) she and Nikki would probably just hang around the PTs and maybe crash at someone’s place. (Probably Haru’s). Joker (I’m calling P5 Protag Joker because I don’t have a preference on his name) would make them curry and I know that Nikki would fall in love with it. She’d probably want to cook with Joker sometime, but Lily Kayla would stop her before she could make something that even Yexiao couldn’t swallow.

Depending on how you interpret NG+, Nikki and Joker could get along with being tortured time travel buddies. Joker and Lily could get along we being the receptive “wildcard” of their group too. Lily would still probably introduce the thieves to a few of their friends from back home by summoning their memories.

If even one person asks more about this insane crossover, then I’d be happy to write more about it, but for now this will satisfy me! If anyone gets to the bottom of this post, congrats! Persona 5 Royal Maladaptive AU

Okay, I got this idea in my brain that I wanna write down before I forget. Basically, Persona 5 Royal, except Maruki doesn't have a persona and, instead, is a maladaptive daydreamer (haha not me projecting onto my personal fave character-). Sumire never got brainwashed into believing she was Kasumi, due to Maruki never having the power to do so. Shibusawa is Maruki's roommate who helps him take care of himself, but is going to be moving soon, due to getting married soon.

Okay further info down below I guess.

Idk when Maruki's palace would take place, but I think it would be interesting to have it before Shido's. I'll get into that later. He isn't the school counselor anymore, instead being just... Some guy who wants to do great things, but just can't. He'd rather IMAGINE doing great things, because that is so much easier than actually going out and doing it. He'd rather imagine helping others, imagine continuing his research, and imagine what his life would be like if the attack never happened. Especially the last option.

He often visits Leblanc in order to have a place to sit in quiet. Sure, some people come in and talk, but it is rather quiet compared to other places. He just orders some coffee, puts on some headphones, and spaces out as he begins daydreaming about a better life. At home, he'll pace around as he daydreams, with those daydreams going on for hours if uninterrupted. For Maruki, these incidents only seem to last for a few minutes, when in actuality, hours have passed.

This is exactly why Shibusawa moved in to help make sure he takes care of himself. Maruki will forget to eat, drink, or really do anything if Shibusawa doesn't remind him. He'd even forget to sleep if no one reminds him. Due to Shibusawa getting married soon, he plans to move out. He is worried about Maruki, however, which results in him posting his request onto the Phantom Thieves Website. At this point, Akiren has probably already seen Maruki at the cafe a few times, but doesn't know him by name.

For his palace, I have a few possible designs. My favorite one is just having it be a bit chaotic, like an actual dream or daydream. Like liminal spaces all mixed together, with one door leading to a completely unrelated room to the last, a bit like how Maruki's daydreams just switch around. There is one end goal, however, which is a beach side wedding with Rumi, with a large cruise ship sailing by far off in the background (as a bit of a reference to, if the palace takes place before Shido's, to Shido having a palace and with him being involved with Maruki's past). Another design I like is based off of Alice in Wonderland, simply because of how Wonderland is usually seen as a form of escapism. The final design is just like, some sort of paradise on the surface, but if you look close, it is an elaborate set. You can move set pieces aside, exposing some sort of recording studio and revealing that everything is fake.

My version of his shadow self has a few quirky behaviors. He will repeat himself, trying to get a better version of his line, much like how someone will replay parts of their daydream because they thought of a better idea. An example would be if a phantom thief confronted him. He might say something like this:

"Who are you? Wait... What are you doing here?! Wait... Who... are... you...?"

He also is very vocal about how, yes, he knows his daydreams are fake. He will get very confrontational if people accuse him of being delusional or of believing his daydreams are real, because he really isn't. He just finds that his daydreams are too good to give up. There are a few more things he does, but he is great at hiding them.

His treasure would still be the newsletter, but in the palace it would be a wedding ring. I don't know what his keywords would be, simply due to not knowing what his palace would be.

also you know what i'm desperate for and should totally write.

persona 5 adults phantom thieves fic. i know it's been done before, but this version isn't an au. instead, post-strikers, some enemy or another deems the phantom thieves a threat, and somehow manages to remove them from this plane of existence/"trap" them somehow.

toshiro, zenkichi, maruki, and ichinose as their guide, are forced to team up and try and beat the threat to bring the phantom thieves back! along the way, other characters join them and awaken personas (ichinose does too of course!) - i'm thinking maybe tae, kawakami and iwai, maybe?? i don't remember their confidants/characters well like at all so i'll have to go back and reread them, though.

other important characters who aren't in the know will also have an important role to play i'm sure, though idk what yet. i'd like to involve in particular kaburagi, akane, [redacted for tactica spoilers], takakura, mariko and shibusawa?? and sojiro and guernica, though not members of this "adult phantom thief" collection, are key allies who know about everything that's going on.

IDK I HAVEN'T REALLY THOUGHT IT THROUGH YET so there may be holes, but. should i try and write this. also if anyone reading wants to write this then follow your dreams and go for it tbh i would love that SO MUCH akfjdsgkdhk

ooohh the akechi role… it’s hard to say who’d be able to play both sides convincingly!! maybe scara too, since he’s a schemer hm hm hm.… childe or heizou would both be so fun in that position tho…..

Scara would make a good Akechi! I tend to forget he exists, honestly. But I usually do my AUs as inspirations rather than direct lift and drop roles, so it doesn't have to be exact. Like, we wouldn't need to pick somebody specifically to be Ann, for example. But I mean Collei does have a striking resemblance to Futaba for the terms of this au.

For Sumeru, you're totally right! I think they'd definitely change Scara's (I mean seriously, his interlude quest was basically that anyways), and then maybe Dottore's after, but I imagine Dottore escapes them before they can.

I haven't played Royal but I do know what happens, and I always forget that Maruki had a Persona and a Palace. I think it really fits for Cyno to have one, because I love him and also angst. I really like the idea of his palace being prison, or maybe even a really fucked up laboratory (looking at that windblume lore). I also like it being something that shocks everybody, including Tighnari! Cyno's just really good at hiding his suffering (I mean fr that's all of my fics for him.)

Is the Kawakami social link gonna be in the p5 mnm even though I can imagine that getting her maid work in Minato and Ryoji's apartment without getting caught will be one hell of a challenge for Phantom Thief Ren.

It is not going to be included in the Monsters and Magic version of P5 for a couple of reasons, one of which being the reason you just listed.

Another is that when it comes to included Confidants/Social Links, the ones that I chose are obviously those that belong to party members, are automatic ones and those that that are important to the overall story - either canonically or because I believe that they would have an impact.

now to somw details regarding the au

Its an new game + au where a velvet room attendant(my oc to be exact,since lavenza has a different role) tried to send sumire,akechi and joker back in time qfter they lost the battle against maruki

Sadly the attendant messed up and got the 3 scrambled all around

Sumi got stuck in a loop where shr had to watch different version of her sisters death endlessly,not even able to save her until akechi steps in on accident pulling both of the siblings off the road

a simple move able to change alot (since hes q wildcard)

Akechis situation is that he woke up a few days before the day where he would have to kill wakaba

he decides to pack his stuff and to go into hiding hoping it would stop any kind of attempt of shido doing shit

It sadly didnt,meaning someone else is the black mask

Akirens situation is that before he really could regain his memories yaldaboths stepped in so akirens memories are locked away and he only experiences them in dreams

Futaba is the blackmask in this au,When akechi finds out he takes her into the musketeers(named by sumire) to make sure she doesnt commit crimes

Sophia was created by futaba as a helper in this au

and im debating on giving her a body in reality

The musketeers and the phantom thiefs exist both at the same time

The musketeers dont steal hearts tho,they force the shadow of a person to return to their real counterpart qnd leave the treasure

it was originally an accident do to the palace breaking before they could get the treasure

but sending a shadow away without taking the distorted desires would make a person hate the item they once cherished and they would be forced to do smth about their sins getting reminded everytike they see the item

So the mussketeers change hearts but not really

i have probably alot more info but i don't want to make this to long of a post while also wanting to leave sole plot points open for when i continue my fic and/or my comics

Yay Madoka Au !

I suppose i should write this down one way or another. But the brainworms have decided for the past. What? 2 months? to mash my two hyperfixations together cultivating in a Madoka Magica AU for Persona. It's great. It has no name. But i couldn't decide between Akira taking Homura's spot, or Akechi. So i decided "Okay what if i did both." So i did that. As i described to my friends: Akira's version is more akin to if Moemura decided Murder was a good solution, whilst Akechi's version is akin to if Homura decided Murder needed to be the solution. Details, people. Details.

So obviously i need to lay down the rules / changes because I adore Madoka Magica to my very heart and in my AU's of it i do generally change it up just to preserve the original. So in this AU's *all* teenagers can become contracted. Generally called Magi as an over all, whilst you can call the individual "Magical boy" or "magical girl" so on so forth. (everyone has a generally unique transformation unless said otherwise. I still need to draw them out. For now, think their phantom thief attire+) The other change is that Kyubey is deleted from existence and replaced by the Personae. generally called Persona's/Personae, their other name is ending up to be "Wish Bearers". But the personae are tiered - its a way to keep wishes from extending from their usual reach of Karmic destiny. How the tiers work is just following the ascensions of the normal game(s) So tier one has Carmen, Arsene, Captain Kidd, Cendrillon, etc. They grant base level wishes to people with moderate "Karmic Destiny", so think people like Ann and Ryuji. Akira makes his wish with Arsene, and that wish manages to break Arsene's "limit" (There isnt one. Its just a lie.) Tier Two has Astarte, Loki, Kamu Susano-o, etc. They grant moderate level wishes to people with high "Karmic Destiny" So like Haru and Akechi. Tier three has Raoul, Hereward, Ella, Etc. They are basically never seen because people who they're assigned to grant wishes to are practically never born. It happens occasionally, but not enough for them to be known. They show up when Akira and Akechi respectively want to make their universe changing wishes. :)

ANYWAYS. Theres a few major differences and sameities as Madoka's original plot to this au. Changes between the two versions so im starting with Akira's. The difference with Akira is that he goes, in total, about 202 timelines. That is a purposeful number i am a shameless Shuake fan. At about timeline 120, he snaps when he realizes being nice and continuing to try and change fate together as a group wasn't working. It's also when he learns that his time magic isn't limited to the just 6 months in 2016, but can go back *Farther*. So after timeline 120, he goes back 2 years until 202. When Akechi finally makes his final wish and rewrites the laws of the universe to better suit *himself*. the gayest final chess session happens there because Akechi is smug as hell. Akira wins for the first and final time. So in the new time, its about a year before. Akira has been sent early to Shujin therefore he's a first year with Ann and Ryuji. But to Akira's surprise his friends already seemed to know him before hand since they visited Akira's hometown, Inaba, before hand on a "Wraith Night". it takes Akira time but he does eventually learn what Wraiths are and are. very confused by them. Not for long as he's taught himself to be easily adaptable but enough to make Arsene look at him funny. in less detail, Rebellion happens but its Maruki who off shoots it just to reflect the third semester because hehe. Haru witches out about december 27th, Sumire contracts about october 16th and Maruki kicks off the false inner reality like 30 minutes after midnight on January 1st lmao yes Akira does do the funny hehe haha of ripping Akechi from heaven. I love that ending so much and i wish. to play around with it before movie 4 comes in and destroys me emotionally.

Akechi's version is... Less detailed. Akechi in total does about 120 timelines. His power isn't questioned because it was Loki who granted this wish, and gives Akechi power. But the key major difference is that Akechi loses memory of Akira. When Akira and him are in the depths of Reality thats slowly sewing itself back together after Akira breaks every law and creates new ones, Akira steals Akechi's soul gem and steals his ability of Time Manipulation without Akechi knowing. With the theft of Time Manipulation, Akira manages to reverse his soul to a time before he contracted. Then sends it home to Akechi. Therefore, no one exists that remembers Akira's sacrifice. Akechi is given a life Akira wants him to have, a happier one. One where his Mother, Akechi Fumiko, is alive and a well known Lawyer. She's good at her job and getting justice for anyone. It's made easier since she's backed by her Detective Prince son. The two are an unstoppable duo. But Akechi ends up getting in trouble when he's investigating a series of murders and disappearances where he re-contracts with Loki. His powers, however, this time involve the ability to know, see, and hear everything that should be hidden to him or anyone else. Give him the ability to live through the knowledge of the unknown. Akechi survives his encounter, and then goes to bed knowing he's safe. Only to wake up. To a apparition staring at him. Talking at him. He, of course, screams. thats where my planning stops. I /know/ Akechi ends up in his own Rebellion Hell but i haven't figured out why yet. Or how. I've just been enjoying the idea of a memoryless Akechi now having to be 1. A living Lie detector and 2. haunted by this weird ghost that keeps calling itself a god.
