2019 me would be getting into a fight with 2023 me for buying pray for the wicked and now owning all panics albums (except viva las vengeance, we don鈥檛 talk about that one)

Let鈥檚 play what kind of panic fan are you?!
1. Ryan Ross can do no wrong and Brendon Urie is the antichrist
2. Brendon Urie is god, the greatest vocalist alive, and the hottest person ever
3. Someone who can acknowledge that all panic albums are very different and good in their own right, but have flaws (except for afycso), but also knows that vlv is pure shit and is probably going to kill panic for good. Also exists somewhere in between 1 and 2 with Ryan Ross and Brendon. (Probably closer to 1 after vlv)

tbh i don鈥檛 think we should even be comparing vlv to fever or pretty odd as much as we are.. b is never gonna try to redo something especially something that was barely his (and i only mean that in the writing style of those albums). vlv becomes a lot more enjoyable when you don鈥檛 take it as seriously as anything before and realize its truly its own thing
vlv to me is an album that is so clearly trying very hard to have its own original sound but suffers from being either a) boring or b) derivative AND boring although i did enjoy the vlv single and local god but that's about it....like the writing in pftw was weak but at least it felt like brendon's genuine style , vlv sounds like he went to the studio w/ a concept for an album and begged the writers to make some lowest common denominator music because mama needs a hit!! i will give vlv its props for having a more matured and completed sound than pftw tho & i think that for better or worse vlv is probably the best writing we'll get out of him

unpopular opinion: pftw isn't, by panic! standards, a good album but some songs on that mfer slap hard

the lyricism in panic songs has declined from " what - oh that's genius" to "that's genius" to just "what"

All of the hard core panic fans agreeing that we can鈥檛 support viva las vengeance is the only good thing that has come out of this album. Stick around for my myriad of complaints coming for the next few days.

Brendon on Kelly Clarkson. Feat the fact they had a big hug ("the biggest hug... I was just smiling ear to ear like 'I love you." *nervous giggle*)
