The Battle Within

Oh, the hardest battle, it's been said before, Is not fought on a field, nor on some distant shore, But within oneself, in the depths of the soul, A fight between who we are and who we've known.

The quest for growth, to rise up and transcend, Is hampered by our past, a foe we cannot bend, Yet we persist, with faith in the unknown, And seek the courage to chart a path all our own.

You won’t be able to keep on going if the prize at the end doesn’t really matter to you. ✅ Lack of support. I moved back home, and home being the small town my mother lives in, just so I can go back to school. She wants me to do nursing, but honestly, I wanna go midwife or doula, night nurse type of vibe, you know? But I don't know how I'm going to break it to her. I saw the quote on Twitter; it was like "decenter your mother," and it hit home for me so seriously. I'm so desperate for her approval; I just hate disappointing her, and it's something I do often. Ugh, and here I go again, making this post that's supposed to be about me and a life update is now about her. I'm obsessed; it's sick. Anyways, another life update: I haven't had sex in like 3 months, and that's kind of huge for me. I'm lowkey a freak. Okay, let me not do too much. It's not that I'm a freak; it's just that I like to have sex. I mean, I'm a grown woman; I have needs. But it's been a while for me, so I'm thinking I'm just going to keep it going to see how long I can go for and see how much having sex with losers affects my life. Wow, look at me, woman in STEM, period. Anyway, I keep wanting to say "nothing major" has happened, but literally moving back home is huge. I'm gonna have a little extra money to take care of myself better so when I'm back in the city, I look better, I look clean, and not like a homeless. Love that for me. I lived in the city for like 5 years; that was fun, that was nice. It's now time for me to be a grown-up; it's now time for me to make something of myself. So today I've had a bit of a roller coaster as far as my expression of my gender identity goes: I primarily identify as an EnBy Transfeminine Person but today when I was getting dressed I tried on a Men's Henley... I'm still wearing my bra, which I almost always wear, and the top I'm wearing still does look more feminine on me than the alternative, and I think this is because I perceive myself to be more on the fem side of the spectrum generally speaking anyway. Point is tho the shift over to a more Masculine Presentation for the day was a little jarring for me and it made me Question, for only just a moment or three, whether or not I am in fact Trans. My determination is that I am a Demigirl for the most part and that to Encompass a broader range of the possibilities available across all the Gender Spectrum is not at all a bad thing.

Stubborn

I have noticed that my core trait is stubbornness. It can be such a challenge sometimes because stubbornness can make it difficult to be open to change. However, I am grateful for my stubbornness too. Especially when it comes to the values that I refuse to overstep or let go of.
