The one who walks among the stars and controls the seas
#daily pearl doodles#pearlescentmoon#mod morph#this was just a fun design exercise i guess#just based off the concept that like#the moon controls the tides#because of its gravitational pull on water#pearl has water powers babey#iunno if the water reads 'hair' enough or not#but i really like it#not sure what ill do with this design?#the first sketch also has a bit of watcher symbolism in it#but ehh i wasnt feeling it#this was caused by mod cosmics minty pearl#and that ocean soup group ask in the inbox#which#i dont really understand#but#hey look what it became :D

better way for Change My Mind to have played out
-WD reels in shock, yells “I’m off-color!!”
-loses control of Crystal Gems
-starts screaming, just completely unhinged. she can’t be imperfect, that impossible, how could she be imperfect??
-this is not a “uwu I guess I’m good now” breaking point for her, this is a “fuck it, might as well become an abomination to snuff all these bastards out in blind rage” breaking point
-she grabs YD and BD and slams them into her, and force-fuses with them
-we don’t know this fusion’s name, but somebody calls her “Blood Diamond”.
-mostly looks like WD, but all twisted and grotesque with many eyes and three long dripping muzzles. white and HUGE. R O A R S
-the mech falls. the room is now sideways
-everyone prepares to fight, but Steven tells them to stand down
-he then tells them “just get me up close”
-Pearl is like “we can’t let him do this!!” but Garnet puts a hand on her visor and says something reassuring. she sees what is about to play out
-they maneuver Steven within touching distance of Blood Diamond somehow. probably throw him so he collides with her, big beam of light
-he fuses with her. the animation gets really smooth and trippy as he enters her mind, seeing all the atrocities committed by the Diamonds. he sees planets being destroyed, cultures eradicated, life forms of all kinds being forced into slavery and being tortured and dying. this all rushes into his mind and he screams
-outside, Blood Diamond roars, and begins to turn red, like red dye being dropped into water. she changes shape, into something like a multi-limbed statue, a regal queen, crimson and shining
-and her name is...
-drumroll, folks...
-PHILOSOPHER’S STONE, BABEY
-Bismuth recognizes her. from some ancient myth
-after screaming for a while, she breaks apart into WD, BD, YD, and Steven
-BD and YD are no longer under her control
-all four lay there for a moment, everyone in shocked silence
-and then, from his laying position, Steven puts out his hand, and a bubble appears around the Diamonds, which then shrinks violently, poofing all three and bubbling their gems
-he’s not a shatterer, but he’s seen what they have done, what they can do, and knows they need to be sealed away
-these are people he can’t redeem.
-while Steven is fully himself, he now can wield the full power of PD, and has all of her memories as well as the other Diamond’s memories. he easily un-corrupts the gems on Earth.
