Rain is grasping at every straw he can for his last remaining freedom while Payu cannot decide who he is to Rain or who he wants to be or what he wants while Rain wants all of it.

Oh baby the yearning is off the charts!! the boys are getting closer, the angst is getting tastier, the tension thicker, and I am twisted over in knots over this ship. In short, the wait is slowly draining the life out of me.

Catching up on Oh! My Sunshine Night ep. 5.
...I am now very officially watching at 99.9% just for RainxPayoo. Social status differences, childhood friends, tons of unsaid things and Pining™. They literally tick all my boxes.
Ngl I'm a tad anxious about whether or not they'll end up together though 😅

Ok, so I have a small complaint to do about Oh! My Sunshine Night: they could've divided the plot better than the way they did because throw a corporate conspiracy in the last 3/4 episodes and cram a lot of things like that is just bad planning.
They could've use less episodes for the KimSun pinning, accelerate the things between them, alongside the childhood memories that appeared and start the issues that we are seeing now a bit earlier and have less episodes. Because, even if I enjoy watching the series, let's be honest: the plot, being presented as it is, does not need 14 episodes to be exposed.

Rain and Phayu are selling me on Oh! My Sunshine Night.
Like Seriously!!
I love the palpable sexual tension between Rain and Phayu. It's tantalizing! I love how they dance around their affections and feelings in secret stares and hidden touches... It's GOOD!!

I have a question for you guys? If you don’t know me (which you probably don’t) I write reviews of drama’s (when I have time 🥲) but I was wondering if you would rather see reviews of every episode OR after the whole thing?

Rain is going to hurt Payoo so bad (and himself too) with this "have all the fun 'cause it's my last days of freedom" strategy. The fallout, when it happens is gonna break my poor heart. Also, how does Payoo not pick up how much Rain wants to devour him? Or does he know, and is just forcing himself to be oblivious, because he thinks he is below Rain, cause he is only a servant?
I'm glad that Rain told Payu he would be going his father soon, that he was clear that he knew this was over and that Payu needed to know it was over as well. But Rain is also so desperate for love. All he wants is love and time with Payu because he's going to lose that.
And I think Payu is just in denial because he thinks Rain is playing with him in his last days of freedom and not being sincere, despite the fact that he really should be aware of how deep his feelings go at this point.
But he's also in denial, in a lot of ways, of his own feelings. He's obviously got some feelings for Baibua, though I'd suspect they're just deflection but he's also got a lot wrapped up in the idea of being a servant and lower class and that idea that his father keeps pushing that he's not good enough for Rain.
Payu and Rain are fascinating in so many ways, a classic whipping boy trope brought into modern day and in all the right ways. The way Rain is obviously in love with Payu and Payu has made it clear that he's also in love but much more scared of his love than anything else.
Rain is accepting destiny and prepared to have what he can and then be the responsible one for the rest of his life, be the good son to keep Khim's dreams safe... but giving up his love of Payu isn't going to be as easy as he thinks.

Rain is so possessive and I love that for him because he knows he's about to lose everything to be his father's Good Son to save Khim. So he's going to try to enjoy everything these last few days.

Rain telling Payu to follow his own path and sending him on his own way and telling him not to be like him, not to be stuck after Payu heard Rain planning to give up his future for his father... oh, there's so much heartbreak there. And Payu telling Rain to find his hope. My heart.

Payoo planning to move out without letting Rain know, planning to move on with his life and find new places and explore new things despite knowing how much he loves him because he wants his own life but also because he wants to be in a different position with Rain someday, to feel like his equal.
Payoo aches with love for Rain and guilt for hurting Baibua and fear of hurting his father and loneliness and wishes he doesn't know how to follow and a love that has endured for so long that he both wants but never expected.
Payoo wants his own life, not to serve Rain forever, not to serve a family forever, even if it's all his father wants. But he aches with that, aches with leaving them and loving them.
He's torn between endless loyalties and love, love for Rain and his father, loyalty to Rain and to his father and to himself, a future he wants to see but cannot fully picture, a future his father wants that he doesn't, a future with Rain that he cannot imagine or trust.

Payu and Rain are everything to me. These two babies are both so aware of their future and the lives they lead and the way they're living and what there is and isn't but also how much they love each other. The way Rain froze in the shower but also had to chase him down and tried to explain only to realize that their worries were different and how they viewed each other was different and just... I love the exploration of social class with a side of not caring about it despite it also mattering.
Oh, these boys.
