Today I went to the museum and I enjoyed it very much. It is always very inspiring how much work some people put into their art. Speaking of work: In the past few days I made a lot of progress on the pattern for the little slipover I wore today. It is one of the most practical items I ever made and I always feel both comfortable and pretty wearing it. I am aiming for 18 sizes with this one, but - as you probably know if you have been here for a while - I won't make any promises until the pattern went through techincal editing. Range. How about size range? I do classes on grading and sizing; I’ve been working on fit and size for years. I typically don’t do large size ranges because it is difficult to do a large range effectively. The Sakai KAL covers 32 to 70” (also in cm!) in 2-in / 5 cm increments in two fit options. This involves so much and not every design fits in such a large range. I have been working on updating one of my favourite older patterns (2008). I have learned so much in the last 12 years. It used to be Summer Lace Beanie, now it is simply called Lace Beanie. I have added a range of sizes, infant to ladies large (instead of a single size) and instructions for a beaded cast-on.
