Mini-review:

This is one of those rare dramas where I could tell I was in for something truly special from the very first episode. And it delivered on that initial promise until the very end. Somehow, it got better with every episode. You can just tell everyone involved was incredibly passionate about this project. The writing is both riotously funny and heartbreakingly sad; there are few dramas that have made me laugh and cry as much as this one. The directing and the cinematography also keep things dynamic and visually gorgeous. And the acting... Man, Kim Hye Yoon and Byeon Woo Seok give two of the best performances I've seen in a K-drama; their acting is so nuanced and detailed. Plus their chemistry is crazy, seriously off the charts. Lovely Runner has helped me get through these last couple of months, and I will miss it so so much. Do yourself a favor and go watch it, if you haven't already!

I really want a redemption arc for Kwon Min Woo and here’s why.

So far we’ve seen him act exclusively in his own best interests, taking advantage of Young Woo, and having a general lack of conscience.

It’s very often that neurotypical people find accommodations made for neurodivergent people and people with disabilities to be unfair. If someone with ADHD gets extended deadlines and more time on tests, isn’t that an unfair advantage to people who have to stay within the system? If you don’t have a disability or know anyone with a disability, it can certainly seem this way because you don’t have any insight to the actual disadvantages that these people have.

So what I want is for Kwon Min Woo to serve as a character who actually has to face his own prejudices and learn about what it actually means to live in a world designed without your needs in mind. We know he’s friends with our Best Boy, they’re roommates, they eat together, spend time outside of work together, so I want Min Woo to actually have to see what reality is like for Young Woo. I want him to see what having a sensory overload meltdown is like or what a panic attack can be like for an autistic person. I want him to have a moment where he has to empathize with Young Woo because it’s what I wish actual people would experience so they think twice about how they unconsciously exclude and harm neurodivergent people.

Kwon Min Woo has the potential to learn and grow and he has the potential to be stubborn and stay ignorant. I want to see him improve because I’m tired of seeing reality where people choose not to.

If we really get another season for extraordinary attorney woo, Minwoo better be well-developed, or I'll start a riot, no one is buying the sudden change, and I really don't want our spring sunshine to be trapped in the" I fixed the bad boy with my love" trope, I can accept a character change of heart, but you need to show me the damn growth.

Also, he getting development doesn't mean that we need excuse his bullshit, change, grow as a person doesn't mean automatic forgiveness.
