Let's talk about Deadly Manners from @paragoncollectivenetwork . Deadly Manners is a classic Clue-style murder mystery fiction podcast It's the winter of 1954 and white, upper crust, socialites, The Billings (Kristen Bell, Veronica Mars, The Good Place; and Denis O'Hare, Dallas Buyers Club, Garden State) are having their annual dinner party, complete with stuffy rich friends and bon vivants alike, as well as their black adopted daughter, Olivia (Alisha Boe, 13 Reasons Why, 68 Kill), who's forced to grin and bare it as the family "friends" vaguely and not so vaguely make racist comments, the butler (Mark Berry, Blade Trinity, Blown Away), the cook (Marlene Forte, Dallas, Fear the Walking Dead), the maid (Elizabeth McLaughlin, Hand of God, Pretty Little Liars), and the entertainment, including a fortune teller (RuPaul, as in...RuPaul). As the mansion becomes increasingly blanketed with snow, the alcohol flows, and the evening progresses, the lights go out, and BANG someone dies! The roads are blocked by snow, no one can leave, and in the most hostess with a "the show must go on" complex ever, Veronica Billings insists that they can't leave so they might as well keep the party going. As the evening progresses, more guests start to die and the situation starts to become truly dire as cook has yet to deliver the beef wellingtons! The horror! With 10 30ish minute episodes, an all star cast, including the amazingly talented Levar Burton (Reading Rainbow, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Levar Burton Reads) as the narrator; it would be a shame for you to miss out on Deadly Manners. So, if you like a good ol' fashioned who-dun-it like the iconic movie, Clue, certain episodes of the Miss Fisher Mysteries, or just high end mystery podcasts, then Deadly Manners is for you!
