landlords PLEASE die horrendous fiery deaths why are they literally doubling our rent and getting past rent control by only starting to document our rent prices after the first half of the increase 😐 kill yourself right now

#we've been here for 10 years and paid rent in cash and now theyre like oh you're paying a lot less rent than others in the area #first of all NO SHIT WHY ELSE WOULD BE STAY HERE but also 1.3k to 2k to 2.7k within 6-7 months is CRAZY YOURE INSANE DIE DIE DIE DIE #and i cant get a job bc my moms getting surgery next week so i have to stay home and take care of her and cook #AND my dads on unemployment :) so thanks #our food stamps are in the process of being approved so hopefully we'll have a semi stable income for food soon #idk. i needed to rant somewhere im so mad #we're considering moving out and getting a new place w the neighbors who theyre also increasing rent for #and who also have their main income source out of a job rn bc thats just how trucking is in january #but they have a daughter in elementary school how do you do that and not feel like a spineless asshole #this isnt even your HOUSE its your moms!!!!! and she was a million times less of an asshole #shes actually the one that kept our rent the same but she moved to latam like! do you think shes fucking proud of you! shes NOT #anyways if you see me post my v mo and p pal soon this is why

haha, it's been a fun old 2024 so far, but i'm nearly back on my feet. it's just taken me the last two months to escape a abusive and exploitative job with a boss that had complete control over my life, who still to this day can't understand why i left or how difficult he's made my life by not paying my wages lmfao. kpop fans think they're delusional but they have nothing on this dude. he also kicked me out of staff housing knowing i had nowhere to go, but i've been lucky that my new job introduced me to another girl who let me have her spare room. in a way the stars have already aligned and i'm nearly back writing at the same pace i was before the whole thing imploded but like. christ on a candlestick. when i said i need a rich kpop boyfriend to pay my rent i didn't mean because i live on someone's floor.

anyway my career and ability to make money have been on my mind now that i have the ability to budget again, so you really did prove i can make money from writing just at the critical moment. signs from god. i'm telling you.

ufh been feeling so much better mentally lately. the world is beautiful. the past weeks have been difficult but I’m at a better spot now. The only thing I’m worried about is not having a job over the summer but it will be ok 👍

The fun thing about having a stupid confusing accent and a multilingual friend majoring in linguistics who's passionate about their subject is you get free education about your own accent

#Uni pals #hybrid accent #hes so passionate about everything its so funny when conversation turns to impromptu class time hes genuinely better than several of the #lecturers ive paid to receive classea from because hes just so passionate and spends some much time learning things #when i went to his own Thursday he just unrelatedly told me my vowels and r's dont match cus i say my vowels softer like with a British #accent (and compared it to now some of our friends speak but i cant remember where the specific accent she has is from) but i have a hard #r from my Bristolian accent which makes for an interesting combination hes told me before the specific linguistic name for the way i speak #and that im the easiest to understand cus my accent is closer to his American accent 😂😅#hes great it was so nice to see him again
