Random thoughts: why are people so pissed about the padel thing? Like it's not even that deep guys. My honest THOUGHTS? The reason he even considered and accepted going to play padel at that event is because he was playing with Charles. And i'm not even kidding. They are not close friends or anything but you can't deny Max truly enjoys the moments he spends in his company and it's different from when he is with his friends, as he sees Charles on very very few occasions outside the paddock. Look at that first padel game and how their relationship seemed 100 times friendlier and closer just from that moment alone. There's no way he would have woke up at 7:30 in the morning to play padel with George Russell or even his friends Lando or Alex Albon, like no way. During the day, totally, but not that early in the morning. In the end he slept in as it's normal but if the people invited to play with him were others, he wouldn't have even accepted or considered going in the first place. Good night :)

I’ve been thinking about it, and I now firmly believe that Charles signed a pre-contract with Red Bull in the week before COTA. Initially, he did it with the intent of putting pressure on Ferrari but then over the course of the triple header he slowly started to realise that maybe honouring that pre-contract MIGHT be his best chance at a WDC. This is heavily reflected in the socials and PR of Red Bull, Ferrari, and Charles himself and ties together all the Lestappen interactions of the past couple of months from Max’s answers at press conferences to the infamous padel date. Buckle up, because it’s going to be a ride.

So I believe to pinpoint the start of the current PR wave/movement that we've coined as Lestappen Gate 2023 we have to look all the way back to Monza. Around Monza, there were numerous rumours that a huge Charles contract renewal was imminent and it was going to be announced, etc. etc. Charles did put these rumours to bed by saying if there were a contract like the one that had been rumoured, he would've signed it immediately. Now, I believe that with Charles confirmed to be unsigned (at around the same time that the George/Lewis and Oscar renewals would've been happening), Red Bull Racing approached Charles to reopen talks.

But I think Charles stalls them, isn't open to talks, until Singapore where Carlos Sainz wins. This throws Ferrari into complete disarray as Fred suddenly can't open talks with Charles as it would then be clear that he will not be re-signing Carlos Sainz. I think it then becomes obvious to Charles and his team that in order for the contract talks to begin they need pressure to negate Santander and the Sainz family breathing down Ferrari's throat. So Charles actively enters talks with Red Bull with the intent of putting that pressure on Ferrari. Also worth noting, Singapore also marked Charles as something special, a generational talent who is also willing to be an exception n2 driver when the team requires it of him, especially when his teammate starts on pole. I think this makes Red Bull even more eager to begin talks with Charles. Interestingly, this is where we get the first Red Bull Lestappen post of this current era, the Lecstappen alert.

This brings us through Suzuka to Qatar, Max winning his 3rd WDC, Charles congratulating him and then effuse about Max and Red Bull in interviews. Seeing the level of success that Max has had is what pushes Charles to decide that he is going to sign a pre-contract with Red Bull for a seat in 2025 because either way, he wins. He either manages to put pressure on Ferrari to get a contract with all the clauses he wants (external brand deals, his own branding, car development to suit him, etc.) OR he gets the MOST talked about seat in F1.

Now this is a key point. I believe the padel date was an excuse to get Max and Charles in the same room. Specifically, for them to have a frank and honest chat about whether they could work as teammates and two n1 drivers on the same team. This is probably the first serious heart to heart that these two have had, which then explains their attitude and closeness in the triple header and them being more ready to be vulnerable and honest with and about each other. Then, in the week before COTA, satisfied that he could be teammates with Max if push came to shove, Charles Leclerc signs a pre-contract with RBR for 2025.

(It's also worth noticing that in the week before COTA, the Lando Norris to RBR rumours and talk noticeably died down, despite Oscar winning the sprint in Qatar).

Now this brings us to COTA, where Charles instantly starts to make PR moves to build a brand for himself. His first big move is signing with WME, a talent agency, and something that Ferrari drivers typically aren't allowed to do. The WME signing solidifies in my mind that a pre-contract exists, because if there is one thing Charles wouldn't do, it's jeopardise his chances of racing in F1. If there's a chance that Ferrari would drop him for this, he just wouldn't do it. However, if he has a guaranteed seat in 2025 no matter the outcome, he would totally do it. It must be said, I believe that Charles is using the pre-contract fully as leverage against Ferrari at this point UNTIL the strategy fuck up. After the strategy fuck up, Charles is noticeably angry and outspoken about it, and Fred starts to freak out a little bit. RBR in the mean time, are starting to try and change the Lestappen narrative from rivals to a duo, with Charles starting to feature heavily on RBR socials.

Moving on to Mexico, Charles does well, considering. But what's important about Mexico is that this is the first time that Charles has truly been treated like a villain by the fans at the track. This is key, not only because of RBR's reaction to it (which I will explore), but also because this is Charles's first taste of what a move to RBR could be like, of what it would feel like were he to become the antihero rather than the golden boy of F1. However, the real clincher is that rather than RBR playing into the narrative of Charles the villain, even despite him literally being involved in the DNF of their own driver (Checo) at his home race, they instead make sure to capture all angles of Charles and Max interacting and one of their own pays special attention to Charles on the podium. In a way, this is the weekend that shows Charles that even though Red Bull and Ferrari are completely different, Red Bull can still be as much of a family to him as Ferrari has been if he wants them to be. Moreso, in fact, considering Ferrari didn't even bother showing up to Charles's P3 podium.

So entering the weekend in Brazil, Charles is pictured wearing his own clothing line that it was rumoured Ferrari forced him to discontinue and Fred Vasseur is starting to get shit scared and starting to talk to anyone from media who will listen about how talented Charles is. Charles does put it on the front row, but there's no real Forza Ferrari about it, and Charles has stopped wearing Ferrari merch in the paddock. A Red Bull employee (Max's PT Brad) is the first person to congratulate Charles on the front row.

Then, the DNS happens. A completely avoidable thing that happened due to Ferrari incompetency, and all hell breaks loose. Charles leaves the paddock before he can finish his Ferrari PR duties like a post-race video, and makes it very clear that he is FURIOUS in all his interviews. Now, laughably, at this point is when Ferrari-Charles contract negations began, or at least, that's what was leaked to the media. In my mind, Charles communicated very clearly to Fred at this point that his pre-contract with Red Bull is a very real threat, and Charles himself is beginning to seriously consider honouring it, and if Ferraro don't get together, they WILL lose their Il Predestinato to Red Bull. At this moment, Fred Vasseur is absolutely terrified. The world is very obviously on Charles's side and sympathetic after the DNS, while being at best apathetic and at worst hostile toward the Scuderia. Meanwhile, Red Bull continue with their Lestappen antics across all social media channel, again publicising the idea that Max and Charles are close and may have once been rivals but are buddies now, like in their tiktok of Max doing the "just an inchident" trend.

Now I haven't mentioned the onboards yet, which were spotted by some eagle eyes fans during the Mexico and Brazil GP weekends, in which Charles's onboard was displayed very clearly alongside their actual drivers, Max and Checo. But the existence of the onboards on the Red Bull pitwall make perfect sense if Charles did sign a pre-contract. Red Bull are gathering data to sway Charles further, almsot a "yeah so here's exactly where Ferrari fucked your race, and here's is what we would've done differently."

The break in the triple header, Charles is noticeably refraining from Forza Ferrari-ing. Rather, he calls the paps on himself on more than one occasion and make sure he is seen with several high profile celebs, strengthening his public image and building his own narrative. Meanwhile, Ferrari is in full damage control mode, taking responsibility for the DNS, acknowledging Charles in a way they haven't fully done since Singapore. There are more leaks of contract negotiations, but Charles does not engage with them. Meanwhile, Red Bull are keeping up their Lestappen propaganda. Charles is making it clear to all parties that this pre-contract that he initially intended to just be a bargaining chip has suddenly become a serious threat to Ferrari.

Finally, this brings us to last weekend, Vegas. Charles, again, refuses to Forza Ferrari. Ferrari PR have put Charles and Red Bull content on absolute LOCKDOWN with not a HINT of Lestappen anywhere, and Max is making comments about the choice of team being important in winning even for generational talents while Charles fidgets and looks away. Fred praises Charles to hell and back again, implying that Charles will obviously be prioritised over Carlos by diminishing Singapore, but in the post-race, Charles still gives nothing. Just a thinly veiled comment about how good it feels to be fighting at the front again. Meanwhile, Red Bull amp up the Charles content even more, even fully posting a picture just of Charles's car. There are also not one, but two questions about Max and Charles's karting past. In discussion with my academic colleagues (@tsarinablogs, @thearchercore, @gaslightgirlsummer (further thanks for all three of them, for entertaining a much rougher draft of this essay a few days ago)), we've talked about the possibility that these questions might have themselves been planted in the media rooms, in order to further cement the idea and control the narrative of Charles and Max, childhood rivals turned dynamic duo. The sort of narrative one might find intriguing around teammates.

So this concludes my essay. I am almost sure that Charles has a pre-contract with Red Bull, which is why he is suddenly so outspoken about the problems and failings of Ferrari. Although this pre-contract originally began as a bargaining chip, I believe that Charles is seriously considering honouring it. Ferrari are desperate, and Red Bull have the upper hand and are starting to pave the way for a media shift in how Charles and Max as a pairing are perceived.

At this point with lestappen (in whatever context) can it even still be considered a soft launch? It feels like almost everyone in their bubble has brought it up at least once by now lol.

you are so right anon because at this point it feels less like a soft launch and more like a damn rocket launch. as always, we can only make an educated guess about what's going on, and i have a lot of them, so strap in

first of all, to me it's one of the three:

at some point of the season, most likely somewhere around singapore (where we got the infamous reel of charles and max walking together, implying charles is on max's pre-race checklist, and lestappen alert) or right after qatar (the padel match) something happened between charles and max privately that made them - maybe not closer, because there's no proof they weren't like this already in private - but more comfortable showing that closeness in public

ferrari and rb pr teams greenlit more interactions and content about the two of them because they saw the engagement lestappen are getting. the timing, however, would be very strange - middle of the second half of the season, charles not really in contention with max, the first of the interactions posted literally being them walking together. which leads us to point 3:

charles is either in talks or has already signed a pre-agreement with red bull. lestappen gate 2023 tag has it all

we can't deny that something CLEARLY shifted, just as we got our first official confirmation of max and charles hanging out outside the paddock. and i want to underline "official" here, because max has mentioned before that he and charles "see each other in restaurants and cafes around monaco" and we never got a confirmation if he meant they accidentally run into each other or they meet up intentionally. with the padel date, i'm a bit more inclined to believe the latter.

"but why did we never gate any pictures then?"

first of all, probably because paparazzi are actually not allowed in monaco. it is illegal there, hence a lot of celebs enjoy its privacy. second of all i don't think most citizens of monaco would care about seeing these two having dinner together, as monaco is small and its population even smaller (36k citizens, not all of them living there full time). most of them wouldn't be moved by this. and seeing a famous athlete having dinner with another famous athletes feels less special when a large chunk of the population is famous athletes. the third option is fans and tourists visiting monaco, but i don't think these two would be hanging out at tourist spot restaurants.

when we got our first official confirmation of these two hanging out it came out from them, not a random picture, but these two intentionally showing everyone that yes, they hung out together, and no, they are not acting like it's a big deal. charles also answered a question about padel with max in his ferrari q&a, which informed people who don't keep up with charles' instagram that he did, in fact, see max in private.

there's no solid conclusion here, only ramblings, but what i can say to sum it up is: charles and max are clearly intentionally and openly showing that they are friends now. and we can only imagine and theorise what comes next, and enjoy every minute of it

So Mona , i come to you looking for some rather *clears throat* important answers.

What do the non Lestappen fans think of this sudden jump in Lestappen interactions and their promo by RBR ? I don't follow any non Lestappen pages so idk but do you have any idea if other f1 fans have also started speculating along the lines of what we have all lovingly named 'Lestappen Gate 2023' ? They must have noticed it about RBR too right? I so desperately want to know their side of things . We might be seeing this through our Lestappen coloured glasses , but they won't right?? BUT in our defence, we were also being delulu about the Padel Date but look where we are . I'm soooo very curious about this .

Which reminds me , we all collectively agree that's when everything started spiralling right?

And now that I'm at it, yk in that recent pic of them and Steve Checo in Mexico with that kid , i bet they wouldn't have held each other's waist for that photo if it was a few months ago and would've just stood there awkwardly smiling without knowing what to do with their hands .

I wish I could give you some answers, but I'm afraid I can't. I don't really follow anyone on here that vocally non-Lestappies, so I haven't been exposed to this part of the F1 Tumblr fandom.

I'm truly sorry that I can't be of much help, but, if anyone reading this could and would like to provide some clarity for the ever-lovely DK and myself, please feel free to do so!

I, for one, do agree that things seemed to start spiraling more following their padel date.

As for the waist holding: they both seem to have been drawn to each other's waists for quite some time already (last season had plenty of waist-holding moments between them). But, there is no denying the shift that has definitely been between them recently, and I am so here for it.

Max is so sad he didn't win padel with Charles. He really wanted to impress him with his padel skills.

He bought rackets, practiced over the winter, just so he could make up the padel date with Charles only to be the reason the LOSE.

I have to think he wanted to team up with Charles 1. Because he owes him for padel-gate 2.0 and 2. because he knows Charles is good and Max of course wants to win.

He wanted to bad to impress and be good but sadly padel is not his strength. The contract between their two playing style is hilarious. Max giving up the moment he misses the ball while Charles is sprinting for his life after a ball he know he can't catch.

They are a disaster as teammates, as they should be.

Que tal saber como explorar da melhor forma possível o belíssimo Hyde Park em Londres? O parque é enorme e tem muita coisa bacana para conhecer. Confira o que encontrar por lá!

O HYDE PARK

O Hyde Park é um dos oito Parques Reais de Londres e um dos mais famosos! Diferentemente do que muitos dizem, o Hyde Park, com seus 142 hectares, não é o maior Parque Real de Londres! Segundo dados oficiais do site Royal Parks frente dele estão, o Richmond Park (1.011 hectares), o Bushy Park (445 hectares) e o Regent’s Park & Primrose Hill (160 hectares). O Hyde Park foi estabelecido por Henrique VIII em 1536, quando o rei adquiriu o terreno da Abadia de Westminster e começou a usá-lo como uma área de caça.

O local foi aberto ao público somente em 1637, tornando-se um dos parques mais populares da cidade. Acredita-se que o nome do parque seja de origem saxônica, e significa uma unidade de terra (“hide”) que era apropriada para o sustento de uma família e de seus dependentes. No início da Guerra Civil Inglesa em 1642, uma série de fortificações foram construídas ao longo do lado leste do parque, incluindo fortes no que é agora Marble Arch, Mount Street e Hyde Park Corner. Durante a Grande Peste de Londres em 1665, o Hyde Park foi usado como um campo militar.

NÃO CONFUNDA! HYDE PARK E KENSINGTON GARDENS

Muita gente acha que o Hyde Park é um parque gigantesco, ignorando a existência do Kensington Gardens. Na verdade, Kensington Gardens fazia, originalmente, parte do Hyde Park. Em 1728, Kensington Gardens foi separado do restante do Hyde Park a pedido da Rainha Caroline, com o objetivo de ser um jardim de paisagismo. Eu, particularmente, acho o Kensington Gardens bem mais interessante que o Hyde Park pelo fato de lá ficar o Palácio de Kensington (residência do príncipe William, da duquesa de Cambridge, Kate Middleton, e de seus 3 filhos), as galerias de arte Serpentine, o Memorial do Príncipe Albert, os Italian Gardens, entre outras atrações. Em termos de tamanho, depois da divisão o Hyde Park ficou com, aproximadamente, 142 hectares e o Kensington Gardens com 111 hectares.

O Lago Serpentine (que divide o Hyde Park do Kensington Park) foi formado pelo represamento do Rio Westbourne. Ele é separado do Lago Long Water por uma ponte projetada em 1826. O local se tonou um importante ponto para expressão e debate dos londrinos. No final do século XX, ele foi utilizado para a realização de show de rock gratuitos, com grupos como Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones e Queen. O Hyde Park também se tornou um local importante para a celebrações reais. No parque foram celebrados o Jubileu de Ouro da Rainha Victoria e o Jubileu de Prata e o de Diamante da Rainha Elizabeth II.

Desde 2007, o parque ainda abriga o anual Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, quando recebe um grande evento para celebrar o Natal, através de mercados natalinos, brinquedos (incluindo uma grande roda-gigante), pista de patinação no gelo, teatro, bares, restaurantes e uma série de atrações.

1. PRINCESS DIANA MEMORIAL FOUNTAIN

Inaugurado pela Rainha Elizabeth II em 2004, este é um memorial em homenagem à falecida Diana, a Princesa de Gales. Trata-se de uma fonte que corre pelo chão que foi construída com 545 peças de granito. O design tem como objetivo refletir a vida de Diana, a água flui do ponto mais alto em duas direções antes de se reunir em uma piscina calma na parte inferior. A fonte funciona de abril a agosto de 10h às 20h / setembro de 10h às 19h / de março a outubro de 10h às 18h / de novembro a fevereiro de 10h às 16h

2. SPEAKERS’ CORNER

O Speakers ‘Corner está localizado na extremidade nordeste do Hyde Park, perto do Marble Arch e da Oxford Street. Este é um local tradicional para discursos públicos e debates desde meados dos anos 1800, quando protestos e manifestações ocorreram no Hyde Park. Figuras históricas como Karl Marx, Vladimir Lenin e George Orwell costumavam usar a área. Mais recentemente, o Speaker’s Corner foi o foco de uma grande manifestação contra a ação militar no Iraque. Até hoje existem pessoas que usam o espaço para expor seus pontos de vista. Qualquer pessoa pode falar sobre qualquer assunto no local, desde que a polícia considere seus discursos lícitos.

3. ROSE GARDEN

Inaugurado em 1994, oRose Garden é um jardim belíssimo que possui plantações de rosas misturadas com plantações herbáceas. A melhor época para ver as rosas é no início do verão. Os canteiros de flores são plantados duas vezes por ano, com exibições de primavera e verão, mas, independentemente da época do ano em que você visita, sempre haverá algo bacana para ver.

4. ESPORTES E PLAYGROUNDS

SERPENTINE LIDO: O Serpentine Swimming Club é o clube de natação mais antigo da Grã-Bretanha. Lá fica uma piscina publica que funciona de 10h às 18h todos os dias nos meses de junho, julho e agosto. Durante maio, o local abre somente aos finais de semana. É cobrada uma taxa de £ 4.80 para entrar na piscina.

WILL TO WIN HYDE PARK SPORT CENTRE: É um centro esportivo onde há seis quadras de tênis, um gramado de boliche com seis pistas, um campo de golfe de nove buracos, uma área de jogos multiuso e quadra de padel, além de um Café e vestiários.

THE BOAT HOUSE: Uma das atividades interessantes no local é andar de pedalinho, de barco a remo, de caiaque ou de um barco chamado SolarShuttle, com capacidade para até 40 passageiros. O passeio aquático pelo Lago Serpentine está aberto de abril a outubro de 10h até o pôr do sol, que é por volta das 16h no inverno e 20h no verão.

HYDE PARK SENIOR PLAYGROUND: O Senior Playground é uma instalação gratuita ao ar livre que inclui seis equipamentos de exercício para ajudar os usuários a melhorar a força, flexibilidade e equilíbrio do núcleo. Os equipamentos foram selecionados para garantir um alto nível de acessibilidade, facilidade de uso e diversão para todos os usuários. O horário de funcionamento é de abril a setembro de 9h às 21h e de outubro a março de 10h às 16h.

HYDE PARK PLAYGROUND: O parquinho infantil conta com trilhos de escalada, balanço e escorregador. Foi recentemente remodelado para fornecer uma gama mais ampla de recursos que permitem brincadeiras mais criativas e são menos restritivas no número de crianças que podem brincar ao mesmo tempo.

5. ESTÁTUAS E MONUMENTOS

Apsley Gate: Este portão de pedra clássico com suas colunas de topo de pergaminho feito de pedra de Portland e construído entre 1826 e 1829.

Serenity: Instalada na parque em 2009, trata-se de uma escultura de bronze localizada perto da Princess Diana Memorial Fountain. A escultura é inspirada na deusa egípcia da natureza.

Queen Elizabeth Gate: Estes portões decorados, feitos de aço inoxidável, foram instalados para comemorar o aniversário de 90 anos da rainha Elizabeth, a rainha-mãe (mãe de Elizabeth II). A parte central une dois símbolos nacionais: o leão da Inglaterra com o unicórnio da Escócia.

The Huntress Fountain: Instalada em 1906, a Fonte da Caçadora fica localizada no Rose Garden e apresenta a figura de bronze de Diana, a deusa da caça, atirando com uma flecha.

Freeman Family Drinking Fountain: Este bebedouro público fica localizado perto do portão de Cumberland e foi um presente da família Freeman. Ele foi inaugurado em 2009 e é uma esfera feito de aço inoxidável polido. É formado por quatro bebedouros em diferentes alturas para atender a diferentes usuários.

Statue of Achilles: Esta estátua de 5,5 metros de altuta de Aquiles, o herói grego da Guerra de Tróia, celebra Arthur Wellesley, 1º Duque de Wellington. Ela instalada por ordem do rei George III em 1822, se tornando a primeira estátua do Hyde Park. A estátua fica perto do Portão da Rainha Elizabeth, no Hyde Park Corner.

The Reformers’ Tree: Foi um carvalho que se tornou o foco de protesto em 1866 pela Reform League, um grupo que fez campanha para dar o direto de votar para todos os homens adultos. Durante o protesto, a árvore foi incendiada e o tronco carbonizado se tornou um quadro de avisos, um ponto de encontro para reuniões e, sobretudo, um símbolo do direto do povo de se reunir. Desde 2000, há um mosaico no chão feito em preto e branco.

Cavalry Memorial: Este memorial é uma escultura de bronze que representa São Jorge a cavalo, pisando sobre um dragão derrotado, com um friso de cavaleiros galopando ao redor da base. O memorial celebra os membros dos regimentos da cavalaria mortos durante a Primeira Guerra Mundial. Em 1924, ele foi originalmente instalado em um outro local e transferido para o local atual em 1961.

Calvary Memorial

Holocaust Memorial: Este memorial é um jardim de pedras cercado por flores de caule branco. Construído em 1983, ele foi o primeiro memorial da Grã-Bretanha em homenagem às vítimas do holocausto.A maior pedra está inscrita com o texto do Livro das Lamentações: “Por estes eu choro. Correntes de lágrimas correm dos meus olhos por causa da destruição do meu povo.”

7 July Memorial: Este memorial é uma homenagem às vítimas do atentado terrorista ocorrido em Londres em 7 de julho de 2005. Ele foi inaugurado pelo Príncipe Charles e por sua esposa quatro anos depois do ocorrido. O memorial compreende 52 pilares de aço inoxidável, representando cada uma das 52 vítimas, agrupadas em quatro grupos interligados que refletem os quatro locais dos incidentes.

Pan Statue: A estátua, que também é conhecida como Rush of Green, é feita de bronze e retrata uma família e seu cachorro correndo no parque. Ela foi projetada em 1961 e está localizada no Portão de Edimburgo, no lado sul do Hyde Park.

The Bandstand in Hyde Park: O coreto do Hyde Park é um dos mais antigos da Grã-Bretanha. Ele foi construído em 1869 e instalado no Kensington Gardens, mudando-se para o Hyde Park em 1886. Na década de 1890, os shows da banda eram realizados no coreto três vezes por semana. Atualmente, ele é usado para concertos ocasionais, como um ponto de encontro regular para eventos esportivos e patrocinados e parte do evento Hyde Park Winter Wonderland realizado no Natal.

Norwegian War Memorial: Desde 1978, este memorial feito de um grande bloco de granito foi entregue pela marinha norueguesa e pela frota mercante em agradecimento ao apoio britânico durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial. No granito está escrito “Você nos deu um refúgio seguro em nossa luta comum por liberdade e paz”, na parte frente. Na parte traseira está a frase: “Trabalhado e feito pelas forças da natureza por milhares de anos”. O memorial fica atrás da Boat House.

Joy of Life Fountain: Esta fonte, datada de 1963, mostra duas figuras de bronze de mãos dadas enquanto dançam acima da água, com quatro crianças de bronze emergindo da piscina. Em 2008, a entidade beneficente, Marie Curie Cancer Care, plantou 60.000 bulbos de narcisos ao redor da fonte para celebrar seu 60º aniversário.

The Hudson Memorial Bird Sanctuary: É um memorial, instalado em 1924, de pedra esculpida comemorando o escritor e naturalista do século XIX, William Hudson. Ele ajudou a estabelecer a Sociedade Real para a Proteção de Aves e fez campanha por áreas selvagens em parques, numa época em que eles estavam sempre limpos e organizados. A escultura representa Rima, a deusa infantil da natureza.

Queen Caroline Memorial: Inaugurado em 1990, este memorial é uma urna de pedra montada em um pedestal com vista para a extremidade leste do Serpentine. Ele celebra a rainha Caroline, esposa do Rei George II. Foi a pedido dela que foram criados os Lagos Serpentine e Long Water e os Kensington Gardens.

Animals in War Memorial: Localizado perto do Brook Gate, este memorial celebra os animais que morreram em guerras e conflitos. Ele foi aberto em 2004, no 90º aniversário do início da Primeira Guerra Mundial. O memorial consiste em uma parede de pedra curvada de 58 pés exibindo esculturas de animais. Duas mulas de bronze pesadamente carregadas lutam através de uma abertura na parede e à frente delas um cavalo e um cão partem para a distância. O memorial tem duas inscrições: “Este monumento é dedicado a todos os animais que serviram e morreram ao lado das forças britânicas e aliadas em guerras e campanhas ao longo do tempo.”. A segunda inscrição, menor, diz simplesmente: “Eles não tinham escolha”.

Serpentine Bar and Kitchen: Serve uma variedade de pratos quentes, snacks, sanduíches, saladas, bolos e sobremesas, além de bebidas quentes e frias. Funciona diariamente a partir de 8h às 16h (entre julho e setembro fica aberto até 20h)

Lido Café and Bar: Proporcionando vistas lindas do Lago Serpentine, o Lido serve desde um café da manhã inglês caprichado, até baguetes recheadas e o tradicional “Fish and Chips”. É possível tomar um drink, além de cafés e bolos caseiros. Aberto diariamente a partir de 8h. O horário de fechamento varia entre 16h e 21h dependendo da época do ano.

The Lodge Café: Fica localizado no Hyde Park Corner e serve pratos preparados com ingredientes tanto continentais, quanto genuínos da culinária britânica. Há uma grande variedade de opções de padaria, café da manhã inglês, omeletes, pizzas, sopas, massas e quiches. Abre de segunda a sábado de 7h às 20h e aos domingos de 8h às 19h.

Barraquinhas: Há uma série de barraquinhas (refreshment points) e pequenas estruturas que vendem comidinhas ao longo do parque. Esses locais oferecem bebidas quentes e frias, sorvetes, sanduíches, snacks e muito mais. Elas funcionam diariamente de 9h às 20h durante os meses de verão e de 10h às 16h durante os meses de inverno.

MARBLE ARCH: O Marble Arch é um arco triunfal construído no século XIX feito todo de mármore branco. Originalmente, ele foi projetado para ficar na entrada principal do palácio de Buckingham. Ele foi colocado no local atual no início dos anos 1960. Historicamente, somente membros da família real e da tropa do rei, a artilharia de cavalo real, podem passar pelo arco. Isso acontece apenas em procissões cerimoniais.

A casa reúne muitos dos presentes ganhos pelo Duque de Wellington em homenagem ao seu desempenho contra Napoleão. Atravessando a rua, fica uma praça com área verde, estátuas e o belo Arco de Wellington, em homenagem ao Duque. Ele é formado por colunas coríntias e um belo portão de ferro fundido. O Arco foi construído entre 1826 e 1830. Ele movido para sua posição atual cerca de 50 anos mais tarde.
