Hey gang, in case we weren’t broken up enough about Flapjack, did y’all notice that in the moment where Hunter wakes up, there is no music, just ambient forest noise. Little things like bugs chittering, leaves and branches rustling, the little waves in the lake, and right as he’s about to say “I already know” you can just hear a few notes of a distant bird call… oof, that’s a lot of damage.

Even ignoring all the creepy goop stuff, the horns, and the glowing eyes, Its amazing how just the facial features and body language shows how different Helios is from Hunter. Like you can TELL this is Belos in control.

camila is such a good mom

like if we saw or learned anything from thanks to them it is that camila noceda has been doing her best at loving and supporting her daughter even when the other adults around her keep trying to drag them both down

camila laughed at luz’s snake pajamas, she was ready to fight the people behind her who said shit about her kid, she did everything she could to keep her kid safe and happy, even if it meant sending luz to that camp

bc administrators like that, counselors like that, adults with that power in your kids life are scary. these are the people who can Decide she isn’t “doing well” and send her to a different class, different school, into some kind of program. when you have a Weird Kid there are a lot of adults who think they can help and Fix Her and camila needed to protect Luz. bc there’s a difference between choosing to send her daughter to a camp she’s researched and some official deciding Luz needs “specialized help” from the school. these people don’t always help, and they can sure as shit do harm and camila knows it

so she does her best. she does what she can to protect and love and cherish her daughter. her weird, nerdy, kind, smart, brave, resilient, creative daughter

Similar to the collage I did on Dadrius (Darius being a father to Hunter), this one is of Camila being a mother to not only Luz and Vee but also to the four young witches who get trapped in the human realm. As you can see from these images Camila served as their human when the six aren't trying to find a way back to the Demon Realm. Willow and Hunter don't have a mother, there is no word on Gus's and Amity didn't have the best mother, so Camila has helped them to see what a true mother's love it like. She and Luz have also reconnected with one another, and it is obvious that Camila loves Vee like they really are her child, before and after Camila learned that Vee wasn't Luz or human. Willow, Gus, Amity and Hunter are even grateful for what Camila and her daughter have done for them and want to show their thanks. Vee's time in the human realm has her helping the four to adjust to it in the months they were trapped there. I decided to call this new Owl Family; "Camilmum." From how Camila does what she can to look after the six, has called herself a "mother of six" and that they get the "nourishment" they would normally get in their home world. Camila even goes with them back to the Demon Realm, from not wanting the five to face Belos again alone and to help them face whatever new danger they may come across when facing the Collector.

SPOILERS!!! TO THE NEW OWL HOUSE EPISODE, IGNORE IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN IT YET. So, here’s my brief thoughts on the new episode.

First off, Flapjack’s passing and sacrifice to save Hunter’s life heavily reminds me of this Godzilla scene.

Second, as a bit of an update announcement to the Ice Age AU of mine, and again: SPOILERS (sort of) TO THE NEW OWL HOUSE EPISODE, IGNORE IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN IT YET.

Okay so, for context as a majority of you know last year (going from then up to now) I started the Ice Age AU (can be looked at here on Tumblr: https://www.tumblr.com/tagged/owl%20house%2Fice%20age%20AU?sort=recent, or DeviantArt: https://www.deviantart.com/artmakerproductions/gallery?q=Owl+House+Ice+Age+AU) and it was inspired by the episode “Eclipse Lake” and how it heavily reminded me of the first Ice Age film. I got pretty close to how it played out in the show about how Hunter’s arc would go and even right down to the self sacrifice against Belos and loosely Flapjack’s involvement with it, but have yet to be officially uploaded, but drawn, several weeks back in the tail end of summer/early fall.

I might be able to upload a chunk of the AU by tomorrow.

Villain doesn’t even describe how cruel and twisted he is, but fuck

I hope Camila gives him a beat down momma style, cause he fucking deserves it

Also I’m glad that we got to see some flash backs that both showed how luz was growing up and that Camila was ready to throw hands whenever adults started making fun of her, she is a great mom, and she wanted her daughter to be happy. Also it’s even more beautiful that Luz’s dad is the one who introduced her to Azura and I love how Camila did not hesitate to save Hunter from drowning.

Also no one better bash Vee for staying behind, she knew her limits and it’s likely that the only memories she has of the demon realm are full of trauma and pain, it would probably do more harm than good to Vee for going back and I’m glad that she realized that and decided to help in a different way.

I wasn’t able to watch the full ep, just from the Giraffe encounter onwards and I know this probably was answered early in the ep, but how was Belos able to poses Hunter? Eh. I’ll probably find out once I’m able to rewatch the episode from the beginning.

But damn Belos just had to cause even more trauma to Hunter, what with making him have visions of Belos and killing flapjack through Hunters body. That has to sting, and thank goodness that no one got seriously injured or Hunter would beat himself even more.

I’m glad that non of the Hexside squad blame Luz and that they made it clear that if it hadn’t have been her, then it would’ve been someone else.

Also do they still have Luz’s egg, I mean did Luz bring it with her when they went to the hayride, cause I’m not sure.

I’ve said it many times but I’ll say it again Disney does not deserve the talent that has gone into the Owl House, because I think it’s one of the best shows they’ve had since Gravity Falls (I’m sure amphibia falls in this category too but I haven’t seen much of it so I don’t know but I hear it’s great)
