"That'd just be rude! So of course I wouldn't, I also told the other not to touch anything! I didn't want to make you more upset by doing that..." She sighed and paused for a long moment before she continued on her recap.
Tumblr media
Cel looked nervously at him for a reaction but Klaus didn't say anything, he didn't even look at her or make any type of expression.
Tumblr media
She gave one final exhale before she walked ahead of Klaus. She could tell he was very disinterested in talking, so she didn't want to bother him anymore. "Oh!"
Tumblr media
She made an excited gesture with her hoof, pointing towards a large building off in the distance "There! Look look!"

-> Cel and Klaus have arrived at The East Mouth Library

Listened to Opus Eponymous front to back a few times in a row at work and am now having so many thoughts about it as an album and the way it was crafted and laid out. It’s just *chefs kiss*. I always forget how much fun Opus Eponymous can be as an album so I decided to just write a bunch of those thoughts out while I was at lunch.
I ended up writing quite a bit so thoughts below the read more:
The fact that it begins and ends with an instrumental (Deus Culpa/ Genesis) has a symmetry to it that is so satisfying to me
The fade out of the soft organ of Deus Culpa into the hard opening of Con Clavi Con Dio feels so shocking but also fitting at the same time. Like it like throws you into what Ghost is trying to do and the whole concept so perfectly. Then it cements that idea with Ritual immediately after
Elizabeth and Stand by Him being there after that opening triplet of songs always feels like a “okay we are approaching the middle of the album let’s fucking have some fun” moment to me if that makes sense
Stand by Him closing out the A side of the album (on the vinyl) also is such a good choice! It fits so perfectly there and also is just an excellent median track to bridge the first and second halves of the album together
THE FUCKING B SIDE OF THAT ALBUM. REALLY? Satan Prayer, Death Knell, AND Prime Mover!!!! makes me go wild bro. I love these three tracks and them hitting back to back to back makes me feel so powerful.
Intro to Death Knell my beloved 💙. Every time it comes on I have to go back and relisten to that intro a second (or third) time
Prime Mover bass line my beloved 💙
After the hype of Satan Prayer, Death Knell, and Prime Mover the return to an instrumental for Genesis feels so rewarding.
Genesis always feels like Primo condensed down into a song for me.
The way the last like 30 seconds or so of the album softens and brings you back down feels peaceful but also sets up perfectly to bring you back to the top with Deus Culpa again.

Once again, seeing your posts has got me reading in a fandom where I haven't even watched the show. I humbly request your reccomendations for Winnix and/or MOTA fic.
HELLO!!! this is incredible omg. first off i do highly recommend the shows BUT i get the urge to read fic first and foremost <3
(just a note here that the shows are based on real people/events but the fic is purely drawn from the actors' portrayals and isn't actually about the real soldiers/vets etc.!)
winnix has some LITERATURE let me tell you. here are the ones in my ao3 bookmarks (which i carefully curate so you know they're good):
What things we have heard together by jouissant
a 4-part, 100k+ wartime to post-war winnix magnum opus that i have dreamed about several times in my life, truly. perfection imo.
a single united body by leoandsnake
part one of a two part wartime to post-war winnix series that, particularly part two, deals with some really heavy themes for nix in particular. such an emotional but cathartic read and the characterisation is excellent
The 90-Day Wonder by ballantine
pre-canon/pre-war winnix. they're just kids falling in love in officer training school, you know!!!!!
Let nothing you dismay by dancinguniverse
my favourite winnix au of all time. hallmark christmas movie vibes but make it gay. post-war canon-era, but the au conceit is nix served in a different division than winters so they never met during the war.
and some rapid-fire one-shot recs:
Amuse-Bouche by ThrillingDetectiveTales
in coffee spoons by jouissant
Freestyle by dancinguniverse
Women In Conversation by shiveringpinkala (aquachampagne)
now for mota, i actually have not read a lot for the fandom. (i know i'm terrible). but here are the ones i HAVE read and loved:
bomber’s moon by moonrocks (and everything by them tbh ping @ww2yaoi)
episode-au that's just such a beautiful getting together for clegan ;_; one of the first things i read in the fandom and it will always stay with me!
Things Unspoken by atlanticslide
canon era, just like such good characterisation. the author has written more mota fics too and has some really great bob fics from past in the day so i recommend their entire catalogue also!
take in the sweetness by Anonymous
this is literally just a 4k blowjob fic and yet it is literature. idk what else to say
also i trust @ifapromise's taste so much so i'm scraping her bookmarks for some more mota for you:
i looked for it on all fours by canimo
back home where you're from, that's the measure of a man by wolfhalls
Nocturne by Avonne
and of course i have a long catalogue of both band of brothers and masters of the air fic that isn't too shabby if i do say so myself. even if some of my bob fic is almost 10 years old ;_;

20 questions for fic writers
Tagged by @reallyintoscience & @beatnikfreakiswriting — thank you darklings❤️
Okay, here we go:
1. How many works do you have on A03?
13
2. What's your total A03 word count?
55,019 (I take so much time writing so few words)
3. What fandoms do you write for?
The Sandman, WIPS for Hellblazer, The Hour, The Expanse
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Putting Out Fire With Gasoline, Nocturnal emissions, and its sequel License my roving hands (which I WILL finish so help me god), Dream nonsense (my first awkward fic) Defiling the Sublime (my Honk Zone Magnum Opus)
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Always! It may take me a REALLY long time, or it may be in seconds. If you ask questions, or write long comments, you will get an essay back! ❤️
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
I don't write whump, MCD, actually unrequited love, love triangles etc. That being said, I love writing angst when I have plans for a happy ending down the road. My angstiest fic would be Disintegration, which made me so sad that I ended it by hinting at a reconciliatory eldritch incubus visitation 🥰
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
The fic that makes ME happiest is Blanket Permission (which I am forever grateful to @quillingwords , for breathing the Purrito into life through her artwork)
8. Do you get hate on fics?
No, that’s never happened, thankfully.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Hell yes — the kinkier and more historically overcomplicated, the better. I’m particularly invested in relating the smut to history of sexuality and history in general, as well as folklore and mythology.
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
I have two collaborative cross-overs that have been outlined but not yet written: Moulin Rouge AU with @academicblorbo , and Brideshead Revisited AU with @chaosheadspace and @quillingwords. I also have a Joanna Constantine/Death of the Endless WIP that will to some extent be a Sandman/Hellblazer crossover. Also, I really want to write a dreamling The Boat That Rocked smut fic!
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not to my knowledge.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
No. But Fern-Fevered was included in an anthology, which I will never get over
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
I have started two, but not yet completed them.
14. What's your all time favorite ship?
Freddie Lyon / Bel Rowley from The Hour. Will never get over them
15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
Straight up copying @reallyintoscience ‘s response here: I exist in a state of optimism where I fully believe I will finish the few Sandman WIPs I have going.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Weaponised bathos (trying to make the beautiful slip on banana peel)
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Writing incredibly slowly, Overcomplicating/overdoing historical research. My latest WIP has a full-on bibliography…
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I love peppering in words in other languages related to the plot, as easter eggs to come back to, but I always include translations at the end. I spent an inordinate time trying to translate BDSM terminology into Old Norse for Lullaby, which was frankly such a mad endeavour that it should be mentioned as an example of my writing weaknesses…
19. First fandom you wrote for?
In my head: The Hour. Published online: The Sandman.
20. Favorite fic you've written?
Putting Out Fire (With Gasoline) — made infinitely better by @mathomhouse-e ‘s stunning artwork!
Tagging some lovely writers (tagging wildly here, as usual only do it if you have spoons for it):
@imnotcrying-ipromise @im-not-corrupted @hardly-an-escape @honeyteacakes @pellaaearien @karalynlovescake @so-i-grudgingly-joined-this-site @tj-dragonblade @two-hands-toward-the-sun @secondjulia @cuubism @dsudis @delta-pavonis @academicblorbo @valeriianz @gabessquishytum @aeon-of-neon @edgedancer77

The Mismagius gave an annoyed sigh, her previous human form had completely disappeared. She floated her book towards herself and quickly began scribbling something down in it.
Tumblr media
She shut her book with a loud 'thump'.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cel gave a giggle before she smiled, "I thought that was amazing!! You always know how to fool someone! You had me going there!"
"Thanks." Her magic suddenly shifted into a thumbs up "And."
Tumblr media
Her attention quickly shifted back to Klaus. She began to drift over to him before stopping. She gave the Zoroark a look up and down... Wow, he sure did look weird today. Didn't matter, she didn't care.
Tumblr media
A strange-looking paper was suddenly pulled from the zoroarks hair. It was a spell tag, something Ivy made a while ago.
Tumblr media
"WHY IS THAT-" He looked very confused and surprised to see the spell tag come out of his hair, that... and various bits of grass and leaves. But, those were normal so he couldn't complain. How did he not notice that?!
Klaus gave an irritated growl, snapping and trying to grab at the spell tag as it floated away from him. Stupid tag.
Tumblr media
Ivy didn't even hesitate, she had no reason to lie. She brought the spell tag back towards herself.
Tumblr media
She said it so nonchalantly, beginning to rip it apart.
Tumblr media
Of course, the ghost had to stalk him, typical. That's how Aurora knew about his form changing. What a stalker. He couldn't go anywhere without one of them knowing, Klaus grumbled a few things before he gave a frown.
Tumblr media
Ivy didn't wait to throw her own insult back at the Zoroark.
Tumblr media
Klaus let out a small growl, what a dumb ghost. He couldn't catch a break around here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He gave a huff, crossing his arms and turning his head away. "I don't care anyway. This is stupid. Just like you."
"Wait, Hey!!" Cel gave a sudden gasp, "He's not a DUMB Lucario, Ivy! He's a SMART one!" She gave her own tiny puff at the comment. "Be nice to him!" "..." Ivy didn't care and gave no effort to fix it.
But, despite his clear annoyance at the situation... Klaus seemed very happy to be called a Lucario again. Even if he was in his weird Zoroark form.
-> Asks are Open again! -> Ivy will be added to characters soon, along with her ref being posted

If only that was the case …
Tumblr media
Death had come for many, over seven thousand souls had been found, gathered, sealed away and then, offered up in his place to make the payment. It was a harsh and cruel thing, well it would be if he cared, but they where going to die anyway, little mortals, like cattle within his eyes, how short there time was and how he was kind enough to extend it longer for them, giving them more time to live, did it matter that it was under the city, within a golden cage, starved and left alone within the darkness, well to him it was a great improvement to how they where living within the gutter, he gave them two hundred years of life, and then he had taken it all away from them.
“No, you are alive, and so am I, my offering was accepted, I got everything that I could have wanted and then some.”
As he hummed softly as he sat there within the tavern, the light of day shinning through the windows, lunchtime as well, something he had never been able to do before, nothing other than a foolish little dream to risk ever coming to a place like this and burning alive because of it, but now, well now as you can see as he moved his hand forward, into the ray of sunlight that shines upon the table between them, how his fingers spread, how he turns his hand around to catch the golden rays between his fingers and show her, how he has changed and those that are with him, loyal to him, remain devoted, will share in the bounty as he reached forward and would take her hand.
“Watch …” As he smirked. “… and witness.”
A pull forward, from the darkness and safety of the shadows that she was within, as he moved her hand forward, up from the table and into the light and removed his own hand to show her, nothing. Her hand did not ache, her hand did not itch, her hand did not sizzle nor did it burst into flames, she wished to know all those decades ago if she had made the right choice with siding with him, in taking his offering, in allowing him to make her into something more than what she could have ever become on her own, there it was right before her very eyes, and it was marvellous. @fallesto

Redrew some old Ocs!
They're from a story that I started to write when I was 14. :)
(Which is actually 2 stories that I made into only one, the first being "Edgar Mouret (2014-15)" the life of a 27 year old schizophrenic gravedigger and "Flowers of a Blood Garden (2016-17)", a story told by a serial killer who thinks that he should kill everyone he loves).
It got a lot of changes as the years passed, creating "The Gentleman of the East End", which kept the whole serial killer thing, but instead of his loved ones now he kills prostitutes to write their stories as crime novels + Edgar's story that would show the sadness of living with a mental illness so painful as schizophrenia in a time that didn't have all the advancements needed to fully treat it.
And as I never really did a lot with it I was thinking about changing the plot again.
Now it's technically a Victorian Era sitcom (and I won't actually make it accurate, me and my sister were joking about Violetta liking Britney Spears skjadh)
Here's a brief summary of the "start" of the story:
"Vinicio and Violetta are twins and they're from a wealthy family, the Bianchi, their father has a textile factory and wants Vinicio to be the heir to it, but wanting to become a writer he decides to run away and start living in a very poor part of London, where no one would find him.
One day he meets Emily and Oliver, who are orphans, the two found his house when running through the alleys near the docks, and after thinking it was abandoned, they decided to try and make that their new home. Vinicio finds them in the piano room, the children were already terrified by the thought of him kicking them out, but to their surprise, he just stares and declares that there's nothing there for them to steal, Oliver not wanting to be associated to a burglar is infuriated, but Emily, noticing that Vinicio means no harm, tries to explain why they entered his house uninvited.
After hearing their story and noticing how fragile they seemed, he leads the children to the kitchen, where he prepares a simple soup for them. Emily and Oliver do notice that his plates and silverware are really pretty and expensive looking, and both of them start speculating that he's a rich man in disguise, keeping this thought to themselves they just ask for his name.
"Leonard", he says, and nothing more. The girl could tell he was a very cold man, but more than anything, a little shy.
After finishing their lunch, they're ready to leave the house, Emily's last wish, however, is to hear the man playing the piano, Vinicio asks her what song she wanted to hear, she is reminded of when her mother used to sing for them to sleep, not knowing the name of the song, she decides to sing for the man.
As she sings the first notes, his eyes close, and sooner than expected he calls the children to the room they once were. Vinicio sits on the stool and prepares himself, playing Chopin's Nocturne opus 9, number 2. He plays with emotion, which makes the children wonder what was in his mind, this is intensified by his silence when finishing the song.
Emily thanks him, saying that if their mother was there she would have loved listening to it, and then the children decide to leave. Vinicio stops them, telling the name of the song, so that they can ask for it when they return. Both of them are surprised by what they hear, asking happily "We can return"?!, to which Vinicio confirms that yes, they can return to his house, but they need to knock before entering and don't abuse of his hospitality, he would feed them and let them sleep there, but mostly important, he would try to find a family for them, as children should not live by themselves in the streets like stray dogs. He also gives them some money, so they can go out and buy some fruits and maybe candy. They give him a big hug for his generosity, Vinicio doesn't really know how to react to this, receiving their affection with a somewhat tense body, but gives them a pat to the head, after that Emily and Oliver leave his house.
Now alone with his thoughts, the man sits in an armchair and a tad nervous, thinks about his decision, now he had some serious responsibilities, despite that, it was the right thing to do, after all, that's what Violetta would do if she was in his place".

Please, Monsieur, play something for me on the piano. It may be your favorite tune. Or the work you are most proud of... *leans lightly against the piano and looking at him with puppy dog eyes*
@marie-louise-baskerville (your most diligent student)
No work can be my favourite for long. Much of my playing depends on who sits in the audience, or who is the student who needs to learn and hear... It would be useful to play some Chopin, perhaps... Perhaps the Opus 48, Nocturne number 1.
Don't look at me with those eyes, Marie.
