Does...or can Genos casually just glug oil from a canister for fueling, seeing as he has tears of oil or is that canister gasoline for making his food for bio mass fuel, seeing as he's camping there with bunch of pans?
I also love that this first observation notebook is titled vol 1, like he wouldn't normally been able to fill entirety of vol 1 notebook with just meeting Saitama and seeing him slap mosquito naked if he had thought about it before.
Genos and his notes getting increasingly more and more detailed as time goes on I see.

Did you like the OPM season 2 OVAs? I remember really liking the Atomic Samurai and Bang one
Yeah that one (2nd) was good and solid, and my personal favorite was the Garou vs Suiryu virtual battle (4th) because it was the most fun to watch. :D
Otherwise the 1st one felt like too much of a general rehash to be memorable, I did not like the 3rd one with the Genos amnesia because his easily overwritten, malfunctioning whole personalities implied the ova wrote him as a robot over a cyborg with a human brain (whoops), pass on the 5th PPP one, and then the 6th murder mystery at the snowy resort with Zombieman felt like an exact copy of the same Zombieman mystery ova from s1, so if you already saw that one you weren't really missing much here.
Then with the s2 bluray booklet interview translations, it was confirmed ONE did not write all the s2 ovas anyway, which explained a lot with those aforementioned questionable writing choices like in the amnesia one. :'D So you can take 'em or leave them - personally the 4th and 2nd ones were the best ones (most fun, ONE-like, with good additional character insight) worth watching in my opinion!

In the OVA where Genos loses his memory, Fubuki might have thought she was interrumping some weird gay moment. I mean, Genos had his palm in Saitama's chest while he held it in place. She didn't have context and from that perspective she couldn't see Saitama's burnt hoodie. She entered and was like "I demand a no-homo explanation for this"
....I will admit, I’ve not seen the opm s2 ovas still. I always mean to! I just forget, plus I’ve basically watched them at this point with how I’ve had them explained to me and seen clips. Anyway, I don’t know if I’ll ever watch that one because it makes me cringe SO hard to see Genos so out of character, it’s camp in the worst way possible and it’s so disturbing to see him flirt with Fubuki (not just bc I think he’s a gay mfer but bc him x fubuki??? Ew would never work.) Anyway you’re so right! Kinda surprised she wasn’t like “yeah imma let y’all have some privacy” and just walk out after seeing them in such a compromising position lmfao.

I left OPM s2 on ep.3 since ages and I decided it was time to finish it. Never would I have imagined to develop an intrigue in the story, finishing the anime, the OVAs, the manga drawn by Murata-sensei and the webcomic drawn by ONE all in less than a week.
The toaster gave me a really hard time drawing him. I had to open all my muscle reference folders and I still ended up going creative mode for his body structure. If you expect accuracy, don't look at me.

Interesting obscure OVA references
Tatsumaki should be still out of commission however, from this fight and the radiation.
Genos did say he has enough firepower now to push back the meteor...though he got busted. He's currently in a non-fighter body.
And lastly...
War of the worlds alien reference. So...
Invasion of the robots? Or...aliens? Or alien monsters? Idk but the invasion has already begun. We've just not noticed it yet.
Or have we? The uncanny feeling that something is not quite right.
Some kind of invasion? More likely than you think.
I have a decent idea, but I ain't spoiling it. I'm not sure our heroes are ready for it though, when they are out of commission.
I am ready for the "real" subterranean fight though.

Just read your Saitama cape post and wanted to tell you it was great and spot on!! Also wanted to add that when Saitama first saw the hole in his cape, his first thought was for Genos to fix it and sticking to the cape is Saitama's hope metaphor... only Genos would've been able to fix it. No Genos, no cape, no hope. I'm sick and rambling so I hope this made sense?
!!! Oh my gosh!!! You're right!!! And Genos was thinking about the same thing, like he almost had a second sense that something was wrong, like him and Saitama/his mental state were already really intimately linked......

And the only reason Saitama's cape got a hole in it in the first place was because he wasn't being careful with it, insisting on putting it *back* on while on a speeding rail car where it was fluttering around and getting in everyone's face. The only reason he'd want to wear is was for its symbolic and sentimental value. And even after it had been punched straight through the middle, he kept wearing the scraps until they were forcibly removed from him.....
It's not the first time we've seen the suit recognized as something deeply important to Saitama, directly beside Genos--who also recognized that and offered to give him something as a replacement for it.

We've seen Genos tending to the suit when he brought it back from the laundry too.... Even though it's Saitama's, he takes care of it just as much as he does the man it belongs to--and given how much it means to Saitama and how upset he gets when it's messed up, I feel like it says a LOT that he'd be willing to let someone else clean it, let alone do material repairs on it....and on top of that, think of that someone immediately upon realizing he needed help.
((I feel like it's related and that I should mention it--when Genos gets the key to the apartment, he holds it the same way that Saitama holds his core. That the giraffe has a suspiciously similar color theme to Saitama in his suit doesn't seem like a coincidence. When Saitama keeps to himself so much, giving Genos a key to his home is essentially saying, "Here, I'm letting you into my life, I trust you with this." It's not carrying someone else's physical heart in your hand, but...i mean that's pretty fuckin' close // ))
