tpoh (or The Property of Hate) is a lovely comic with heavy theming of storybooks and hero's journeys, and has the same vibe as something you'd read as a bedtime story. it has a Fascinating take on a lot of worldbuilding and wordplay and its!! so hard to describe properly in words, its something youre really just gonna have to see for yourself. its got Really strong character leads whom iwould kill and die for, n if you like funky designs that Really play with theme and concept well. ohoho. oooohohoho.

u want a funky tvhead guy themed around old timey film/television and slapstick that changes palettes based on his surroundings ? swan made of candyfloss and chocolate styled into knives and ballet slippers ? porcupine made of sewing needles and fabric scraps from a place that specializes in quite literally Altering Character Designs??? grabbing u by the shoulders.

do u like playing with the bounds of webcomic and narrative and imagination as an in-universe mechanic, as a world to traverse and rules to abide by? ever wonder what happens to story fragments that never get realized as full concepts? how you become a role and a role becomes you, blurring the lines of person-concept-object-idea?

Im back with my AU & headcanon crap

So this is a random headcanon I have for Shockwave, one that I've had for a long time but just realized I have literally never mentioned to anyone before. It's not groundbreaking but ya know

So, in most versions of Shockwave he has his gun on his left arm and his only working hand is his right hand. I use Shockwaves IDW backstory in general, so keep that in mind.

I think Shockwave was originally left handed, and he still is even after the frame change. I know that he technically gets claws in the frame change, but that not my main point. I like to think that he was forced to use his non-dominant hand (servo) and is forced to not be able to use his preferred hand.

Maybe the planets government blacklists certain mechs from getting legally and medically approved replacements for the body parts that were changed by force. I don't know to much about the other emrapta victims but I think that if you were in good wealth or knew some people in high places you could get better quality parts.

I think the planets government would blacklist a lot of mechs from a lot of things, not very publicly and not to the lower high class to middle class. The high class are rarely blacklisted, and a lot of them do know in the back of their processor's but don't like to think about it. The people who are lower class or are 'less useful' to the common mech are commonly blacklisted from large frame upgrades or anything that could really help them, megatronus would not be able to get medically safe treatment or practical weaponry while in the pits

Blacklisting or restrictions on empurata victims

Ooh boy. Okay the implications. It’s sorta like empurata is a permanent shame or black mark on a person’s life. You’re made a breathing, walking example of what happens when you step out of line. And no doctor is going to undo this without it costing a pretty, you don’t even need a special identifier on any legal paper that identifies that it shouldn’t be undone: because you are the identifier. It’s a big risk to try and get it replaced, and I’d imagine most doctors would take one look at you and decide it’s not worth it, whatever you did to have this happen, if they get involved then whoever changed your frame could do the same to them, the risk is too high. ”if you were in good wealth or knew some people in high places you could get better quality parts.” For rich noble folks, it’s probably easier to have the contacts/connections who’d be willing to do this. But even so, empurata is a BIG thing, who knows maybe their entire reputation is ruined. It’s not a simple operation to simply have undone, and it’s really interesting to notice you only mentioned upgrading parts. Do you think any (probably viewed as insane) noblemechs would display their empurata as like a “message”? or propaganda, trying to express their views. Are they shunned by their former friends and followers and do they continue to have the opportunity of luxury AFTER empurata?

Do you think he experiences phantom pains from his hands like cramping? Or maybe sometimes he’s reach over and knocks something down because he still sometimes “feels” his hand? Is this a point of distress for him? (I know he is portrayed often as emotionless and working based solely on logic, but I like to believe even so he still experiences SOME form of emotion, even if he and everyone else insists otherwise)

More Blacklisting

Even if they were somehow to find someone willing to undergo a large surgery do you think it’d be safe? would there be people who take advantage of this and charge low with high interest rates to trap someone into servitude? (best word I can find 😔 you know what I mean)

Interesting to see that high class mechs would turn a blind eye to this… do you think it is because they wouldn’t want to lose their luxuries? are they afraid of living knowing that if they speak up they can be silenced? or do they simply not care about what’s lower than them?

On the topic of illegal/unsafe modifications. It reminds me a /lot/ of KO’s Japanese toy bios. Where he was a weapons engineer that mentioned any weapons he gave to other were unsafe and to be untrusted. I’d love to hear more about unsafe medical practices, because this is really interesting. They don’t have to give low caste mechs a good surgery, because they aren’t worth much. Additionally,

The idea that a mech’s life is worth nothing if they are lower class, because they contribute nothing to the high class society. They are disposable, replaceable in life. They mean nothing to society. 😭😭

14. What is your favorite location and position to write in?

If I'm sitting up, then I'd rather be in a coffee shop or diner. I do some of my best writing in that kind of place. But if I'm home, and I'm just writing a microfic, I will 100% do it just lying down in bed or on the couch lol.

25. What’s your favorite part of the writing process (worldbuilding, brainstorming/outlining, writing, editing, etc)?

Oooohhh! I think editing, because that means the fic is done LOL. I've been having a lot of ideas but a big lack of motivation to actually write lately, and I feel a lot of relief and excitement in the editing stage because that means I've created something and it's almost done. Plus I often come up with some good ideas during editing and end up with something that makes me proud because I took the time to polish it up.

26. What’s your least favorite part of the writing process?

Writing description, specifically. I literally hate it so much. It's so tedious! I like dialogue so much better; it's a lot easier and more fun for me. But ultimately I can't do my own ideas justice without description, so it is very much a necessary evil.

Interestingly, I like writing descriptions in microfics; it's just in the longer fics that I struggle with it because it's a lot more than just one scene and I get bored so easily lol.

Hell is just a shoujo manga: this fic is absolutely ridiculous and you bet I loved every goddamn second of it. bnha, fem!izuku, technically isekai?

throw me a goddamn rope - just enough to hang myself with: the only fic on this list that isn't completed because it's just that good and also updates frequently if not consistently. Aizawa goes back in time, tries to keep little!izuku safe, and accidentally gets a whole ass family for his troubles. utterly fluffy, so damn cute, and aizawa's presence in the past somehow makes izuku even more effective at beating people up with friendship.

hit me baby one more time: the iconic time loop au for It (2019) where characters die but they also get better. reddie, obviously.

When the Floods Roll Back: shout out to my Buffy obsession that has me by the neck at least one a year. this is a season 6 rewrite that's had 20lb of sugar dumped on it. we stan. spuffy, because my questionable taste in fictional men can be reliably traced back to this asshole.

The Devouring of Hearts: quite possibly my favorite marvel fic. It's an au of an au, but you don't need to read the original work to understand this one. Toni Stark is an Addams, and she absolutely does not care what the world thinks of her or her proclivity towards the dark and macabre. i absolutely love this fic's vibe its perfect for the spooky season. highly recommend. WinterIron.

hi!! and oooohhh yes it's very intriguing and bear with me as i attempt to explain

so,,,plot-wise, it's about an amnesiac detective solving a mystery

game-wise, it's an incredible rpg (not that i've played many rpgs but this one is incredible) where your skills affect your gameplay in fascinating and unique ways. it's very dialogue heavy, and a chunk of that is attributed to the fact that your skills talk to you. (your necktie can also talk to you. horrific necktie my beloved <3)

although there is a plot, i'd be much more inclined to call it character-driven. you sort of,,,,well, you don't make a character so much as shape him.

also there's tons of worldbuilding if you're into that. to the point where the wiki resembles a history book more than a fandom wiki. (it's set in another world, not on earth)

(ReincAnon) One of my favorite concept is how curses like Sukuna remembers people through their cursed energy. It kinda made me think about how dogs and cats remember human smell kskdshdf.

I don't know if it was intentional or not but I like the symbolism here. The Gojo clan (or even the entire sorcerer world) trying to drag reader down but they stand tall in the end ;u; very nice

"That was your power. That was supposed to be yours." I was wondering if Satoru was aware of this as well? It wasn't clearly stated and I'm not sure if I managed to pick any hidden messages hh. Satoru seem to share reader's sentiments at the very least.

Reader's Continuance sounds super interesting! Do you have any other notes about how it actually works? Since the power became Satoru's, I'm pretty sure it also got modified. From reader's past memories, it looks like they can rewind stuff but there's definitely more to it. 3/x

I’m happy you liked that concept of Sukuna and curses remembering cursed energy. Fun fact about it: When I write down requests, I usually pair them with my initial ideas to help me when I finally get around to writing them. And when I wrote down yours, I couldn’t remember all my ideas back then but I wrote down “Sukuna can’t remember your name anymore, but he did remember your cursed energy, your very soul.” So I decided to roll with it hahaha

Oooohhh that wasn’t actually intentional if I gotta be honest. It was mostly just a memory of how a friend would greet me. Good call though O.O

I wanted to make it that Satoru knew to a sort of extent? Like when he brought you back to the world of curses and jujutsu, you seemed to know more than you let on. Maybe you even helped him get stronger by suggesting how to use his powers. You say they’re all theory, but??? He has a feeling, but he doesn’t let slip that he’s curious of what you know. He’s pretty sure you won’t tell either. You siblings are sketchy that way.

AAAHHH I loved thinking about Continuance. The idea was that if Gojo was space (Infinity), then you were time (Continuance). It’s more so just that you can turn back time by 1 second in a given diameter around you each time you activate it. It’s hella handy during a fight. For healing, it works differently. It’s more so reader returning a body back to how it was before someone got the wound, but they had to have gotten the wound in that same diameter reader has control over (sort of works like a domain). Tbh. the idea is very messy and not thought out well enough. I didn’t go in-depth on it during worldbuilding since I knew I wouldn’t be able to use it fully in the one-shot. In the one-shot. For now OuO

that’s one of the reasons i really like Darkwood, there’s little to no actual jumpscares and completely relies on atmosphere and worldbuilding. it’s a hard game but it’s one you genuinely want to work for. i love it

Oooohhh for those of you who don’t know, rainy days are my favorite kind of days.

When I wake up on rainy days I get on the couch and watch an episode or two of the Clone Wars while I drink an Arnold-palmer, then I go upstairs with a Sprite and grab a blanket and sit at my teal desk by the window. I Bluetooth Conan Gray, City Girl (the LoFi artist, not City Girls lmao), and Closed on Sunday. Then I usually scroll through Tumblr and write some fic, maybe I’ll watch Baby on Netflix depending on my mood. Dude rainy nights are such a vibe, I love rainy nights and staying up late working on worldbuilding and Star Wars rants.

Oooohhh. This is a toughie, but it also let’s me talk about the individual Magekal kingdoms and what they wear so this is going to be really fun! I’ll talk about some of the more interesting clothing trends there.

Phoenix: is freaking hot! So the majority of their clothes are light, to the point that sleeves have become an indicator of marital status. Two sleeves = single. One sleeve = engaged, divorced, widowed, or separated. No sleeves = married.

Mineria: Cloth doesn’t survive in water for too long and neither does metal. Most of their clothes are made from seashells and the remains of sea creatures, which makes them very hard and armor like, but very elegant.

Sagarmatha: Their clothes are light and either airy so it’s very noticeable when the air is more active around them, or very close to the skin so it’s harder to tell when they’re manipulating the air around them. Either way it has to be very light. They also tend to be designed as camouflage to make them less noticeable.

Domhan: Cloaks. Everyone wears cloaks. Most of them are very heavy to the point that unless you’re very strong or already a citizen of Domhan, you don’t know how to handle them. They’re often used a bonus to armor, and a form of camouflage, as well as an extra weapon.

Draconis: Light armor mostly. They’re always prepared to get on their dragons and fight. At this point there are multiple different designs of it. If they’re going without armor, they’re typically wearing very basic tunics and pants.

Anuanu: With the exception of some very intense Ice Mages, everybody’s bundled up, lot’s of layers, but ice mages will forego most if not all layers to tap further into a sense of cold and be prepared to survive in an entire castle of ice.

Avalon: Has a mix of clothes, ranging from many eras and cultures. A true melting pot.
