Welcome to the Creighton-Ward Manor!
Please, do take a seat and make yourself at home. I'm sure Parker will be here with the tea soon (and by that I do mean actual tea, and not the T.E.A. We don't want to be having to sort out any situations just yet, do we?)
Right then, shall we get down to business?
*clears her throat and lifts up her agenda*
Firstly, this is a roleplay blog run by @hebuiltfive. All posts, unless otherwise stated, will be purely in character. It has also been a while since the mun has roleplayed on this site, so patience is much appreciate.
Secondly, no hate of any kind will be tolerated on this account. Parker will be doing security checks routinely and any hate will be deleted and the account promptly blocked. This is a safe space for everyone and I would rather much like to keep it that way, thank you.
Third on the agenda is activity. I'm often called away for lectures, parties and, more often than not, important missions (meaning this is the mun's secondary account, meaning activity levels might droop on this one.) All that we ask of you here at the Manor is patience when waiting for any replies and that you do not badger us for them. Again, it would be most appreciated.
Now, onto the less serious points.
This version is set primarily in the TAG universe, however there may be references to both the TOS universe, extended media and the 2004 movie universe occasionally.
Tags will be used for navigation purposes. This post may be edited to detail this more once a sufficient amount have been used.
Lastly, please do not be afraid to interact with any posts. There may, on occasion, be a few solo pieces, but they will be tagged as such. Sherbet is the only biter in the Creighton-Ward Manor but, so long as you're a friendly face, he will be as welcoming as I.
Speaking of Sherbet, it's time for me to take him to the doggy salon. So, for now at least, I think that is all. Any edits to this post will be made as and when if necessary.

what is force-shipping? (a PSA!)
what force-shipping IS:
guilting a partner into agreeing to a ship after initially declining the offer.
sending romantic or otherwise inappropriate (inappropriate because THEY SAID NO TO THE SHIP) memes despite them saying no.
writing a romantic or shippy starter/reply to a thread after they said no to the ship.
(listen this list will not end, let me finish this up with a very firm final remark:)
NOT RESPECTING YOUR PARTNER SAYING NO TO YOUR SHIP REQUEST.
what force-shipping is NOT:
asking your writing partners if they'd like to plot a romantic ship with you.
listen. forcing a ship is a conscious effort. if you're not able to respect your writing partners' decisions and choices when it comes to literal role play, then you need to step back and re-evaluate until you're able to do so.
BUT. you are NEVER forcing a ship simply by asking someone if they'd be interesting in shipping with you. it might be scary to ask. but once you respect their rules and boundaries, you're fine! there's never any harm in asking! just make sure you respect and honour their response, regardless of whether they say "yes", "no", or "maybe once we test their chemistry".

Idk my beloveds but, it's on the mind so imma ramble about it. Possible hot take about the RPC under the cut.
If you've made it this far, hi ilu - but yes, sometimes it bugs me about how serious the community can be sometimes???
Don't get me wrong, I'm not talking about content, triggers, anything that might affect a person's comfort in any way - that's all valid af, absolutely.
But, like, the way folk feel like they have to present themselves, the fact that folk can be unfollowed after a short period of time if they haven't reached out or have become inactive (I'm not even talking about months either, but I've read on some blogs that I can be as little as a week), any rules punishing OCs (y'all know that really gets me irked), the sheer emphasis placed on graphics and formatting, and a few other things that have escaped my mind but chances are I'll remember later.
Maybe I'm just showcasing the amount of time I've spent writing on and off on this site, but I don't remember things always being this way, and every now and then I wonder if this community is as inclusive and relaxed as it used to be. After all, many of us do what we do here as a form of escapism from real life, or as a way to channel our passion for a fandom and/or character, or for any number of reasons, and while I do agree that a certain etiquette has to be in place, I sometimes have to contemplate if it's been taken too far in one or two ways.

sometimes i think abt that person who got mad at me for reblogging from them one (1) time and then implied i didn't read their rules...thus revealing that they had not read my rules which explicitly mention how my adhd makes it very hard for me to remember who all doesn't like to be reblogged from on the reblogging website...

Excuse me, what the fuck. I'm sick and tired of @the-amazing-digital-moon and I not being respected when we ask for the simple common courtesy of people respecting our fucking boundaries.
Please do not impersonate the person I am in a genuine, real-life, committed, long-term romantic relationship with.
That should be basic common sense.

Guys, I’m realizing that while it was implied several times in my rules, it’s never actually stated clearly, so I’m going to updates those, but I wanted to make a post to ensure this doesn’t come as a surprise to anyone.
This blog is MUTUALS ONLY when it comes to in-character interactions.
Now, this doesn’t mean that non-mutuals aren’t welcome. It’s just that there are a few boundaries you’ve got to follow. Non-mutuals CAN send in headcanon asks or anons. Non-mutuals are also free to like my posts and reblog drabbles, headcanons, aesthetic stuff, fanart, and memes (though try to go to the source for the last three). I’m cool with that.
But if we aren’t mutuals, please don’t send in in-character asks/interactions, like starters, respond to open starters, reblog in-character writing like dash comms, etc.
This is on me. I had really thought my being mutuals only was in my header and rules, but alas, it was only implied. I should have known better, but I will be firmer on this. If you’re someone who breaks this *now very clear rule* more than once, you will be hardblocked. Because that tells me that you don’t bother to read rules.

for the record: i, personally, do not care who reblogs from me on the reblogging website, especially since i struggle to remember who all expects me to reblog everything they post from the source myself. obviously no one should reblog roleplay/headcanon posts they're not involved in, and i do think it's generally polite to reblog a meme from the source if i don't send one in, but if y'all wanna reblog aesthetics or gifsets or whatever from me, idgaf. that's life.

I figure out of all the blogs, this one gets the most traction so...
Hey! I made a carrd! It has general rules for all blogs and links and stuff! It's very simple, but I made it all by myself with only an online tutorial for guidance! Hopefully it works?? I tested it earlier and there's nothing fancy that could break it?
I also updated the rules for this blog, Damien's, and the multi to make them more specific for each one. Unfortunately, it's only the web browser (ie [url.com]/rules) as I don't have time tonight to update the mobile-friendly rules.

gentle thingy with the current t/100 resurgence. actually 2 things : i am still v sensitive ab bellamys death and still will not write about it and encourage people to Not talk to me about it / the very end of the show.
the main thing is that i know esp w/ t/100 there is A Lot of critique/hate that happens. i’ve lived through all of it as someone who watched from s2 on. there is a lot to be critical about i’m not going to deny that or try and argue otherwise BUT it can and has really sapped my energy and excitement over it so if u post on the dash pls just... tag it?? whether it’s over a ship or character or the show or even j/roth.

I think one of my pet peeves when I talk to people about OCs is that they ONLY talk about shipping,,, like when I try to bring up some lore points for Aria, to like flesh out her character for new people on disco, they kind of just brush it off with 'oh that's cool ANYWAY--' and just go back to talking about how hot she is and etc... and I'm just like :') like PLS,,,
