are we all, as a com, perhaps coming to terms with the fact that we're probably better off at least briefly plotting before jumping into interactions?

If I may follow from what Gio said, I'd like to see more people share their conceptions of the pkmn world because it can avoid situations where muses inadvertently talk down to eachother because of differing worldbuilding. A small detail about Lyra's team that people sometimes comment on is that her azumarill is pure water-type. This is actually related to a headcanon I have about how the fairy-type originated that I've been putting off posting. And I need to get on with because it could open up some fun interactions! I like to share my worldbuilding in long-form prose type posts but just throwing up a few sentences gets the point across just as well without taking as much effort. A little ooc post explaining your muse follows a fading tradition from their region and is seen as unusual for that, that could open up a great interaction that doesn't make either mun feel like the intricacies of their characters is being ignored!

stop letting me talk abt competitive battling on here it makes me sound like such a dipshit omg when i said most people didn't build their teams to be competitively viable i didn't mean that as a dig, the implication was supposed to be that most people here build their teams from a character perspective but i didn't make that clear. people give their muses pokémon that suit them regardless of whether or not they have a niche in competitive and i think that's strong characterisation!!

Hello!! Please give this a like if you are happy for me to come talk to you about our muses, my muses, my worldbuilding!  And, of course, if you’d like to do the same with me!

I know most of us in the com connect to each other through our muses but this is something I struggle with a bit! Not because I don’t want to talk to people about their characters, but because I worry I’m annoying when I talk about my muses. Previously, I’ve asked people not to only talk to me about their muses, but that’s often because I feel like I can’t talk back about mine without being directly asked to. Or else, that it’s selfish for me to do so. It’s previously worn me down because I feel as thought I’m just being used as a sounding board because I feel like responding in kind is, well, unkind somehow.

But! I’m hoping I can unlearn some of this unhealthy thinking and that, together, we can flesh out our muses and interactions even more!!
