“It’s a prank!”
“Okay so, you thought I can’t do it but there you go Mitch, watch this” you half whispered to your phone camera as you tried to hide it as good as you could while you heard Harry making his way to the bedroom.
A week before that evening your boyfriend, Harry, had a night off his busy hard-working schedule and decided you two will have a little fun and go out with couple of friends to the local bar.
You were slightly drunk as you spoke with Mitch while Harry was speaking to another friend of you two, one thing lead to another and Mitch dared you to prank Harry and tell him that you want to break up.
You knew Mitch was coming up with that specific dare because you and Harry have been together for quite a long time now, such a long time that Harry was already planning on proposing. Not that you knew anything about that really... but everyone else did.
They were always teasing you about your unfaded love, which was true.
Of course as a normal couple you had some fights here and there, but you both were mature enough to forgive one another and get on with it.
Besides that, you were amazed of how madly you’re falling for him every single day with every little thing that he does. In fact, he was the first guy you’ve ever fallen in love with, you never knew you were capable of loving someone for so long, let alone being in a relationship for this many years.
And quite frankly, he felt the same way about himself.
So just for the healthy competition, you agreed and decided it might be interesting to see Harry’s reaction when you tell him you’re breaking up with him, and also because your pride didn’t let you reject that dare and let Mitch win.
“Hi babe” Harry said as he noticed you lying on your shared bed, reading your favorite book, again.
He leaned in to give you a kiss but you turned your head away, which made him confused, very confused.
“Uhh.. whats going on?” He asked.
“Nothing”
“Where’s my kiss then?”
You didn’t say anything as you flipped through another page, fully into the game.
He shook his head and turned to the closet to grab some clothes and get into the shower.
The second he walked out of the room you burst out laughing, “Im one hell of an actress” you whispered to the hidden camera.
Ten minutes later Harry was back, all fresh and clean and most importantly, smelled amazing.
You both knew you can’t resist the scent he had when he was freshly out of the shower, you always loved curling in him and smell his hair and body. But you had to keep your hands to yourself, you hate being a loser.
“Harry,”
“Yes?”
“We need to talk.”
Game on.
“Wha-what’s going on, love?” He quickly made his way to sit down beside you on the bed, a worried look covering his beautiful face.
“I- I think we should break up.” You said before looking in his eyes, you were really trying to make it as realistic as you could.
Harry didn’t say anything, in fact he looked like he wasn’t breathing anymore, not a single muscle in his face nor body was moving, he stared at you so deeply that you started to be scared.
“Im so sorry,” you said as you looked at your hands that were playing with the books papers.
“What are you talking about?” He asked so quietly, you could hear his mouth became dry.
“I- I just feel like, like it’s not how it used to be” you continued lying “I don’t think I can do it if I don’t feel the same way as I felt when we met”
“What the hell are you talking about?” He asked again, “we made love just last night! You told me you love me, you were lying right here and it felt exactly how it felt 4 years ago!” He started raising his voice, fighting back his tears.
“Im so sorry Harry, it’s just not the same anymore” you whispered, trying to fake crying.
He stared at you for few good seconds before he let his tears roll down his cheeks, then he covered his face with his big hands, then he looked at you again with blood red eyes.
“Is there anyone else?”
“What?! No!”
“Y/N, I’m so fucking serious. Is there anyone else?”
“What makes you think there’s anyone else?” You didn’t want to admit it but your heart was starting to break.
“I don’t know, I’m trying to understand where did all the things you told me go” his tears won’t stop coming, “you told me you’re falling for me day after day, we were pretending you were pregnant just for fun and we said were going to try very soon, where did all that go?” He tried screaming but you could see he’s hurt, but mostly confused.
“I love you, I still love you, just not like I used to” you couldn’t believe you’re saying this, you wanted to hold his beautiful face and hug him so tight and tell him you’d never dare to leave him.
But you’ll let Mitch win, and fuck that.
“What can i do for you to love me again like you used to?” He was so broken, he looked at you, the woman he loved so bad and let you keep breaking his heart, he just didn’t want to let go.
“Nothing, it’s not even about you, it’s me” a single tear left your eye, you didn’t think it might happen but seeing Harry like this made you really fucking sad.
“Oh fuck, you know what? Save that bullshit” he sniffed and got off the bed, “I understand.”
He turned to leave the room and then you decided you’re done doing your dare, you did just what Mitch told you to do, and it’s time to explain Harry and redeem him from his suffering.
“Baby Wait!” You tried holding Harry’s hand but he jerked it away
“No, Im gonna go away for awhile, give you some quiet” he said so quietly your heart broke.
He turned back to the closet and started taking off clothes to pack, you got off the bed and started giggling as you hugged him from behind.
“What are you laughing about? Don’t touch me” He cried out loud as he moved away from your touch.
“Baby stop-“ you tried touching him away but he moved aside again, running from you.
“I said don’t touch me!”
“It was a prank!”
“I don’t care, just don’t touch me” he said as he kept packing clothes, his vision was blurry but he was too broken to care.
“Babe I swear hear me out, it’s a joke!” You tried hugging him again and he turned to face you.
“Do i look Like a joke to you? Does this look like something to joke about?!” He yelled while more tears came running down his face.
“No, of course not! Mitch dared me to do this I swear this is a prank, look!” You said and showed him your phone camera that was hidden all along, Harry looked at your phone and then at you.
He quickly flipped off a middle finger to your phone camera and wiped his face with the back of his hand.
You placed your phone on the desk again, so the video was still rolling and showing the two of you and you held his face and kissed every corner of it until you reached the lips.
He kissed you so hard you thought your lips would go numb, and when you hugged him closely you promised you’ll never let go or him, or agree to any more bets from his dumb friends.
“I love you so much it hurts, I could never leave you” you looked into his eyes and wiped the rest of his tears off his face.
“I love you too, and you better” he smiled while hugging you again as he turned to the camera, “fuck you, Mitchell.” He half laughed.

it’s been a long time coming, i know, but i’ve finally gotten around to creating a mobile masterlist for my text prompts. making things a little easier for you all to access them. a huge, huge thank-you to @life-is-just-better-in-pyjamas for collecting all of the links and sending them to me; you’ve been an absolute sweetheart and i am truly grateful for everything you’ve done in regards to my text prompts.

Teach me: a series.
“Im fucked up”
She didn’t know how to love. She was always the one who left the men she slept with before they woke up. She was always the one to not text back. Her heart was cold as ice, and she didn’t even notice anything was wrong.
Until that night he came to the bar she worked at, he watched her all night, flirting for the tips, making all the guys drool at her. He knew she didn’t belong there, he knew she didn’t believe their eyes.
She couldn’t be wrong, even when she poured him another glass of whiskey and smiled at him, she thought he wanted what everyone did.
But man she was wrong.
She thought it’ll be simple, getting in bed with him and leaving before he knew it, she enjoyed that as well at the end of the day.
But she didn’t know what he’s gonna bring in to her life.
It started at middle school, around the age where boys and girls stopped being disgusted with each other, all of her friends had guys chasing them. She was never the hottest one in the group, she always found herself the third wheel. The guys who talked to her ended up asking her about one of her friends, and she got used to it.
At high school boys told her pretty words just to get her in their bed, the same guy who kissed her didnt text her the next day. Even the guy she really liked, used to tell her she’s pretty and they should go out sometimes, even kissed her and made out with her one night, but disappeared the following day like nothing happened.
At college she lost her virginity to another guy she liked, she thought he liked her back, she was too blind to see that he only got to her when he wanted her body, but when she saw him kissing another girl at a party, her heart broke to millions pieces, and all he could say is “I was never your boyfriend, Jesus.”
So she stopped believing in love, she truly believed she was better off alone. She found out that working as a bartender while wearing tight jeans and a top that gives a nice peek to her boobs will help her get good money and a little company at night.
So it was easy for her, forgetting those people the following day, while they forget about her too, so no one’s hurt. She never kissed them while she slept with them, she never bothered to take their numbers, some of them didn’t even know her name and she didn’t know theirs, but it didnt matter to her, it’s not like they’ll want more, right?
But he did, he didn’t know about the girl behind the bar and her cold broken heart, he didn’t know her smile is fake. But he could tell she’s different, and he was curious.
Being the stobburn man that he was, he waited until the bar was closed and his friends left, just so he could at least get her name.
“It doesn’t matter” she said, “want another shot of vodka?”
“Only if you take it with me”
“Oh no thanks, I’ve had enough of that for tonight”
“So maybe some other night?”
She stopped everything she did, this guy is trouble, she thought to herself, he’s playing with you, her mind said.
They didn’t have sex that night. But that guy came back everyday until he got her name, and he didn’t stop until he got her number, a month later of him not giving up and he got a date with her, then a kiss, and then he asked her to be his, she took a risk and said yes.
“But you’ve got to understand Harry, I’m fucked up. I’ve never done this before, so if I’m doing it with you... you have to teach me.”
“Oh trust me darling,” he said as he looked at her softly “I will.”

"Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner!” I respond sarcastically, the only mention of her name shuddering my body.
“Oh Jesus- You’ve got to be kidding me!” Harry scoffs, pulling his short hair between his fingers as he sits back “Are we seriously on this again? When will you give it a break?”
“Maybe when you start respecting me the way that you should”
“Oh, I don’t? “He blinks in fake surprise, completely disregarding what I’ve told him.
“You know damn well that you don’t”
“You’re so fucking unbelievable. We’ve been down this road before and you just won’t put it to rest. How many times have I told you that Kendall is just a friend?
“She wasn’t always a friend” I blur out. I take a brief moment to breathe in, to keep the wave of overwhelming thoughts away from my head. Talking about Kendall always makes me feel unstable; it’s a constant breaking point in our relationship “She sure as hell wasn’t acting like a friend tonight”
“How the fuck do you want her to act? What the fuck do you want me to do?” Harry stands up again, clearly annoyed with the subject “Nothing that I do is right to your eyes. You’re always complaining about stuff that doesn’t concern you. Kendall is a friend and that’s it, there’s nothing to discuss about it.
“If she could just... stick to her friend role then we wouldn’t be arguing in the first place”
“Oh, so she’s the one to blame? I’m sorry if you have a problem with my friends, but that’s none of my business and it shouldn’t affect our relationship. Surprisingly, it does. And I’m getting tired of that”
“Don’t go there. You know this isn’t about that. I do like your friends-“
“You don’t, I know damn well that you don’t. But you know what? I don’t care” He shrugs, rolling his eyes.
“It’s not about that, Harry. You’re missing the whole point!” I’m infuriating. So fucking mad.
“I’m not” He stands up again, shoes in hand, and I know as soon as he gets in the bathroom I will have lost him for the night “You can’t control me or the people around me, I wish you could wrap your head around that for once”
There’s only word resonating in my head over and over when I look at him. Selfish. Selfish. Selfish. Selfish. Selfish. Selfish. Selfish.
When our eyes meet, I can see we are both tired. We are exhausted. We are drained. And I don’t know for how long we will be able to keep this going.
“I don’t want to control you!” I yell at him, desperate. Praying, begging that he will finally hear me “Listen to me for once in your life!”
“No, I’m done with this bullshit. We are fucking bullshit. We are completely screwed!” His eyes are wild, his gaze is tormented. Harry’s hands go through his hair frenetically, like he doesn’t know what to do with them anymore. I feel his energy, I feel his frustration, his anger; because I’m feeling the exact same way.
As I push the bangs off my forehead, trying to get a grasp on my own head, I see it. Harry’s hiding his face behind his hand. I freeze on my feet for a moment, the rareness of this situation pounding, pounding on my chest.
I take one, two, three steps towards him. When I sit up next to him on the coach, he speaks.
“I can’t do this anymore”
That’s it. That’s all it took. Five words.
Five words I know we were both dying to say. They were there, at the back of my mind, pushing, crawling, sliding until they were resonating every single time we were together.
He looks at me through his fingers, bloodshot eyes, and I nod.
“I’m sorry” he mumbles.
I allow some silent tears to shower my cheeks. I’ve been holding them for so long, so long, and when I get a full sight of Harry’s face, I know he’s been, too. Crying is cleansing.
“I know” I simply respond.
I reach for his hand and he flinches; my touch has become a foreign thing for him. I get my knees to the floor, and I place my body between his open legs, so we are finally face to face.
My fingers stroke his hair, pushing the rebel strands back, the way I did multiple times in the past, and as he looks at me through glossy eyes, it’s like we are finally seeing each other after weeks of complete chaos.
Harry sobs and shakes agains my petting, and I join him, ruthlessly, willingly, pleasingly. I press our foreheads together and he cups my cheeks. When he leans closer, I think he’s about to kiss me, but instead, he gently puts his thumb on my lips, and brushes his mouth slowly against it.
Not a proper kiss, but a goodbye gesture.

it’s been a long time coming, i know, but i’ve finally gotten around to creating a mobile masterlist for my text prompts. making things a little easier for you all to access them. a huge, huge thank-you to @life-is-just-better-in-pyjamas for collecting all of the links and sending them to me; you’ve been an absolute sweetheart and i am truly grateful for everything you’ve done in regards to my text prompts.

I’ve had some problems with that Masterlist at the moment where I’ve only re-linked a handful of them. I need to go back through and link them up. If you’re looking for them, they should be under the one direction texts tag on my blog. xx

Hiya, you know your tfln, the new ones, have they not been written yet because they don't have links, the harry ones from about 112-199? Along with the Louis ones? Xx
They have been written and they’re floating around on my blog someone - probably behind the “one direction texts” tag on my blog - but Tumblr effed up that Masterlist so it removed all of the links to every TFLN; I’ve relinked the most of them on that list, I just need to go back and relink the rest. xx
