coworker from hell is back from his week of residency. he's currently playing music on his laptop and not engaging in conversation about work (or anything else). i did not miss him. i wanna be on my couch crocheting this super cool hexagon granny square cardigan i'm working on.

WIP Wednesday

Hello hello, it's Wednesday! Thanks for the tag @rimeswithpurple your costume project looks so good!

What am I working on? Craft faire stock, obviously. Does it feel like I've been making stock forever? Because I feel like I've been making stock forever.

The faire is on Sunday and I'm mostly done, but I'll just keep making right up until the last minute. Then at least I can use any left over for any Christmas faires I manage to do.

Tonight I'm making mug cosies:

I like making these because they're quick and easy and once the crochet bit is done, it's finished. There's no extra bits to do like sewing on buttons or attaching findings. My ADHD brain does not appreciate when a thing has too many steps; it just wants to crochet.

Also, I'm sick of being told that I should "start a blog" or whatever every time I have a hobby that doesn't produce something (when you have a hobby that produces something, you're told to sell it... Which is how the craft faire schtick came to be). I have been told this about reading, going to the theatre and most recently about burgers. Yes really.

So, I thought I actually might start blogging about what I'm reading but I'm going to do it here on this hellsite where it will literally never make me any money.

This week I am reading:

I'm not far in but I'm enjoying it. I read the first book of the series A Marvellous Light last year and I absolutely loved it. The main characters, Robin and Edwin, lodged themselves very deeply in my soul and I would do anything for them.

A Restless Truth follows Robin's sister Maud on her voyage from America to England where she must solve a murder, find a thief and discover some new revelations about herself.

I would describe both books as queer magical Victorian murder mystery, and there's nothing about that sentence I don't like.

I waffle too much, I'll have to start doing the books in separate posts.

So I wanted to let you all know that there's a reason my posting schedule has been off this week. I am moving into my first home and have been packing/moving all week so far. I will be moving and unpacking through the weekend and next week too. So, sorry if I am not posting as much or as regular as I have been. I have taken some pictures through this process and plan to post them when I can. I am moving all of my projects and yarn over there tonight. Our first night in the house is this Saturday, so I won't be able to get any crocheting done through this process yet. Most likely my weekly crochet mood blanket update will be either Sunday or Monday for this week.

So I'm still here! Just can't do any crocheting like I want to right now! :(

But after the move I will have my own craft room and I'll either take some photos or a video once I get everything set up. So as soon as we are settled, I'll be able to start posting like normal again. Thanks for the support and love as always! 💕🎉🙌
