Phantasmagoria DR: my main fame dr where i’m the lead singer in a band called Phantasmagoria w my friends. We’re like, really famous. Like more famous than Taylor Swift famous. And I go on to become a really famous writer/director as well. This is the dr i think about all the time, i fucking rule guys. NO BAD SONGS. NO CONTROVERSIES. ONLY GOOD VIBES AND GREAT MUSIC. ofc i’m an EGOT and pretty much revitalize the film industry single handedly. 😋😘

Heartstopper Cast DR: i’m a part of the cast of Heartstopper (an OC named Vivienne Green - Harry’s sister - who’s besties with the group, helps Elle when she transfers school, and is Pansexual and eventually gets in a polycule). I’m honestly so cool in this one. I have my SHIT together at 19, like, it’s crazy. I’m dating Kit Connor cuz why not, and I eventually become one of the best actors of my generation no biggie 🤷🏻‍♀️

Harry DR 1: yes, I have more than one dr where i’m dating harry styles, who can blame me. I’m a songwriter that met Harry in his 1D days and became one of the band’s main songwriters. We became best friends after that and stayed close. We both become extremely famous in our respective areas in the music industry and are the power couple

Harry DR 2: this one came to me in a literal dream. I’m Harry’s secret fiance that literally no one knows about. My job is solving and rating puzzles (don’t ask me why idk either). I get pretty famous on tik tok for being one of those satisfying accs that people followed during the pandemic yk? Harry DR 3 (LAST ONE): OK SO DONT JUDGE ME W THIS ONE. LET ME LIVE. so, basically, I’m Harry’s secret wife and - stay with me here - we have 6 children together. I really only wanted to go here bc I noticed how many tattoos he had of peoples names and i thought, hey, what if those were his kids’ names that he has tattooed on him and no one knows? like, why not? so this is a purely self-indulgent dr where I’m just living the domestic life with Harry Styles and our brood of children. this may or may not have been influenced by a fanfiction series i read

Hozier DR: in this one, I’m Mr. Andrew Hozier-Byrne’s girlfriend who lives with him in the Irish countryside. I’m a seamstress who has my own clothing brand. Think dresses to run through a field of flowers in, or to slowly decompose in a lake littered with petals yk? I end up making the dresses for the Folklore stretch of the Era’s tour. not to brag or anything hehe

MGG DR: I’m dating the one, the only, Matthew Gray Gubler. I just thought it would be really funny and interesting to go to a reality where him and I are pretty much polar opposites. I’m an ex-ballerina who still practices, so I have that grace and elegance around me. I love to dress in dark neutrals all year round. For my job, I’m a famous published horror author. I have an rbf and a WRY sense of humor. Literally black cat aesthetic to the max. And then there’s Matthew who’s a ball of sunshine compressed into colorful grandpa clothes. honestly i love this one

Tom Holland DR: okay so this one is from my Spider-Man phase. But i actually love it so much. I play Felicia Hardy in the Spider-Man films, who is as much of a love interest as MJ in this reality. Tom and I actually grew up together since I would always vacation at my aunt’s house in the UK who was also neighbors to the Hollands. We’ve always ‘hated’ each other growing up (when really we were closer to each other than anyone else) and so when we started working together on the Spider-Man movies, all those underlying feelings started coming to the surface

The Joes DR: Okay, so. In this one, I play Chrissy Cunningham in Stranger Things. Her character is actually a lot different than in this reality where she’s actually secretly dating Eddie Munson behind Jason’s back. She doesn’t die, her friend Angie does, so Eddie and Chrissy join the party to save the world n stuff. Basically, Joe Quinn (his name is Thomas in this reality) and I got really close on set and are rly flirty hehe. And, to make it even better, we ALSO have a thing with Joe Keery as well (hence the name change to make my life easier). So we’re all a budding throuple and we kinda try to sneak that dynamic into the show hehe. note: certain actors aren’t poopy people in this reality and don’t support genocide 🙄)

Hogwarts DRs:

Draco DR: this was my first ever dr! draco tok got me into shifting. I’m a gryffindor who’s friends w the golden trio. I transferred into Hogwarts in 4th year and pretty much just am there for the ride as the canon happens. I’m in a secret relationship w Draco (shocking ik) and he’s actually not a bad person. i obvi scripted out the supremist in him guys, dw. i actually have so much detail about all the ways we meet up behind everyone’s back and stuff. you never forget your first guys 🩷

Tom Riddle DR: AGAIN. BEAR WITH ME. ITS NOT BAD. basically Hogwarts is more of an elite rich kid college for wizards than a high school type place. BLOOD SUPREMACY DOESNT EXIST. But there is a whole powerful family hierarchy. kind of like a mob family thing??Instead of Slytherins being the ones most likely to be death eaters, they’re the ones most likely to be from those more powerful families. The Riddles are one of the most powerful families (and rich bc sorry but i’m not dating a poor orphan guys). I’m a Gryffindor who transfers in and becomes besties with the Slytherin group (Theo, Enzo, Mattheo -i’m a mattheo truther, never matthew- Blaise, Pansy, and Draco). Anyways, I fall for Tommy bc of his whole dark and broody best friend’s older brother thing he has going on.

MCU DRs:

Peter Parker DR 1: i’m obsessed w the idea of being genius buddies w Peter Parker and eventually taking over SI, so this is that. We’ve been best friends and neighbors since we were little, and got bit by spiders at the same time. I’m Silk, and we fight crime tgt. We’re both geniuses and go to Midtown together. When we meet Tony Stark, him and Pepper pretty much take us under their wings and we become their heirs to SI. We revolutionize the tech industry before we even graduate high school, we’re that smart. example: we build a water filter that we use to completely clean the Hudson River. we create inter-dimensional communication to talk w the other spidey gang after we get sucked into a rift and meet miles. on like a random tuesday too. I absolutely love this one, i put SO MUCH DETAIL into this script it’s actually insane.

Peter Parker DR 2: My first Peter dr that i made, but kind of abandoned. Him and I have an enemies to loves relationship bc after talking w Ned, he thinks the way to attract me is to act as if he doesn’t care about me 🙄. these dumbasses. anyways, i’m Tony’s adoptive daughter who he rescued from these evil scientists who gave me powers n stuff. it was a pretty cool concept when i first thought of this reality. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Stucky DR: Takes place in the 1940s at first, bc I’m best friends and eventually dating Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes. The three of us are a force to be reckoned with guys. I’m super fucking smart, Steve is super fucking stubborn, and Bucky is super fucking protective. So, chaos basically. I’m really interested in science and am offered a spot to work on the super soldier serum by Howard Stark. Canon events become canon, I create SHIELD with my besties Howie and Peggy, Howie tells me he’d been working on cryogenics but needs a volunteer to test it, so I agree. I wake up in 2017, after the Civil War was actually dealt with civilly and am reunited with my loves in the present time. One of my favorites that I ever scripted out. 🩷

Misc. DRs:

Peaky Blinders DR: I was a nurse during the war that took care of Tommy and his brothers, and him and I became really close and fell in love. We reconnected a couple of years after the war ended, and I basically become his right hand when it comes to all the Peaky business. He trusts me more than anyone else because we’re both ass over tits in LOVE with each other. Like, yall don’t understand how in love we are. Also, you know that scene of Elle Woods pulling up to Harvard in a full pink outfit? Literally me every single day. Me in my lil pink blazer and skirt sets and the brightest fucking smile on my face making everyone confused why tf someone is as happy as i am in birmingham of all places. Everyone thinks i’m ditzy and just Tommy’s arm candy when rly im the smartest person in the room at all times. i just love to manipulate people into thinking im harmless and then learning all their secrets 🩷🩷🎀

Haikyu DR: i’m the manager of Karasuno that takes over for Kiyoko. I’m the granddaughter of Nekoma’s coach, so i know all about the game and play just as good as the players. Just because those 4 minutes of him had me licking the screen, i’m Kiyoomi Sakusa’s girlfriend. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH ITS CRAZY. we have a whole friend group with Ushijima, Tendo, Iizuna, Komori, and Atsumu. Imagine the chaos that group brings everywhere. It’s such a fun dr, i should really revisit it more often.

Lloyd Hansen DR: i watched the gray man and this man with his white pants and pornstache burrowed his way into my heart. pretty much im his ditzy lil girlfriend who he adores and just skips around the place in pink and he spoils endlessly. 🩷

Mafia DR: didn’t really flesh this one out, but the gist is that i meet this guy in college and he turns out to be a part of the mob. 🤷🏻‍♀️ and so yeah.

Whore DR: yes, I have a whore dr. hehe. don’t judge me but like, a reality where slut shaming doesn’t exist and you can live out your horniest fantasies w/o any judgement whatsoever. bc that’s completely normal. 😋😋

Sunny DR: this is a better cr one, where i’m pretty much just really fucking smart and in a FANTASTIC AND LOVING relationship with this guy named Peter. He sadly doesn’t exist in this reality 😞😞. But he’s literally the sweetest ever and he’s blond, so I call him Sunny. Like, my sunshine boy ☀️. Literally everything i want in like, a mundane life is in this reality. also, for no other reason than i think it’s so funny, peter happens to be the son of one of my teachers in school. Why? i have no fucking clue 😭😭. like, i go to his house to meet his dad and he’s my fucking history teacher. it’s mortifying but absolutely fucking hilarious.

Criminal Minds DR: i join the BAU after Emily’s whole arc where she dips, and everyone but Hotch and Spencer are a bit prickly with me. I’m best friends and eventually get into a friends with benefits relationship with him (which is so out of character it’s crazy, but let me live). We obvi get our shit together and just start dating and become a power couple hehe

Deity DR: literally thought of this 2 days ago 😭. most of the details are on my prev posts, so you can check those out

Narnia DR: last but not least, I’m a human who was transported to Narnia a few years after the Pevensies saved Narnia from the White Witch. However, I’m instead sent to a nearby country where they take me in and basically make me their crowned princess. After a couple of years, I meet and fall in love w Edmund Pevensie. All Hail Queen Rosemary the Radiant. 🩷

i want to do a drawing for pride month that features marvel characters and lgbt themes but i have ZERO ideas. i want to draw something but brain is empty. do you have any ideas?

Okay so if we’re talking canon characters the first couple that came to mind is Wiccan and Hulkling because oh my goodness I love them!! But like the other day I reblogged some vintage pride photos of parents at the parade with their queer kids and ugh it always makes me so happy!! So like Wanda with a “proud mother of two queer sons” shirt or sign and then it’s just like the either young avengers because let’s face it even the ones that aren’t canonical queer are definitely some flavor of gay! Oh here’s a picture for reference you get the vibe

If I might suggest something non canonical I’m personally a huge fan of interpreting Spider-Man as bi so like you could definitely do literally anything with that. He could be holding hands with mj and they’re both wearing t shirts or something that say “bi wife/husband energy” or Felicia hardy, Black Cat, is canonically bi so she and Peter could be doing something together (maybe cuddling or being a bad ass crime fighting duo) and there could be words in the bi colors that are like “still bisexual” or something? Or like Peter and Wade because they’re perfect holding hands and they’re both blushing with little bi and pan hearts <3 Or I’m an gay ace Johnny storm truther so literally anything with that!! Or Peter with top surgery scars

Universe 3329 Character Dump!

These are what I have so far for various characters from my Marvel Universe, 3329! Enjoy! (CW: Mentions of Eugenics on Medusa's section!) More under the cut! This is a very, very long post.

Jack/The Recluse.

Jack was a tiny kid when he was younger, and his school days were filled with issues like not keeping up with his schoolmates, so he was a lonely kid until his best friend in the entire world sat next to him.

Jack adores webslinging, seeing it as a theraputic thing rather than something he should hate. Well, until Gold Goblin uses Webslinging Time as the time to swoop in and attack him.

He definitely has the lack of self-preservation to do what the GIF is doing because he has no chill and wants to absolutely concern his enemies.

Jack's love language is definitely physical touch, especially in cooldowns, he's a cuddlebug. If his SO doesn't like it, he just kinda pats them on the shoulder briefly and gives them a smile.

He takes some things absolutely literally. So sometimes figures of speech and other such things just hit the brick wall that's Jack Parker's brain.

Flirting? He knows what it is, and how to do it, just doesn't know when someone's flirting with him if it's subtle.

When it comes to various metal shows, Jack's one of the guys that stays out of the pit, until he has his spider powers and the enhanced durability turns him into a mosher.

Jack found Felicia a cat and gave her the little guy, he named him Empire because he found him near the Empire State Building.

He absolutely adores cats.

Big dogs scare him mostly because they can bowl him over and he doesn't want to deal with that.

Little dogs are A-Okay because they're cute.

When he was younger he was one of those kids OBSESSED with Sharks and Dinosaurs, so if he ever meets Jeff the Land Shark or Devil Dinosaur he'll lose his MIND.

Felicia Hardy/Black Cat.

Jack and Felicia are... well, it's complicated.

She and Jack knew OF each other when they were kids, but never really were talking. They even graduated from Midtown High in the same graduating class.

Burned out Gifted Kid because of her Dad's desire to make her the best at everything because he was a thief and he wanted better for his precious little girl.

She also has a eidetic memory as well as a photoreflexive memory, owing to the fact that this universe's Walter Hardy is Taskmaster.

She saw Jack for the first time messing around with Eddie on the playground when they were in elementary school. She wanted to play with them but decided against it.

Now that she's next door to him, she's raring to get her neighbor's attention.

So she goes to the MoMA as the Black Cat, just stealing something real simple so she lures this new vigilante out.

Needless to say, she knows it's Jack just by how he moves, but doesn't know it's really him until his mask is off. Which makes their dance all the more complicated.

Their romance is very complicated too. Mostly because he sees what Felicia does as not as bad but it could seriously come back to bite her and that's what makes it rocky.

He doesn't want his girlfriend to bite off more than she can handle and not be there to help. He might blow things out of proportion, do a little too much to help, but he's got good intentions.

Eddie Brock/Venom.

Eddie left for San Francisco and came back to everything going to shit. He knew his best friend was the Recluse just by Venom freaking out and going...

"Eddie! Eddie! That's your best friend, Eddie!"- Venom, based on vibes alone, and also almost breaking his laptop screen.

When he was younger though, he was a lonely big kid on the block with no friends to his name and a sucky dad that still sucks.

So when he saw the scrawny young Jack, he plopped himself right down and immediately they became best friends.

He hung out with Jack a lot, just to avoid his dad. Ben and May didn't mind, but did get concerned when Eddie would show up with bruises.

He definitely took up a big brother role for Jack when he needed it. Dude took care of him.

Sometimes Eddie would influence Jack to do things that... aren't exactly good, but experiences that Jack needed.

Eddie definitely had several girlfriends throughout the years, and has better advice than most when it comes to relationships.

Dude was a goofball though. Definitely Jack's biggest hypeman when he needed it, but still trying to keep his best friend by his side.

Mostly because he's dangerously codependent.

Him and Venom met soon after he finished school in San Francisco, in fact it was Venom who got him to where he is in life, making him able to get headlines and results he normally wouldn't get.

Venom is very similar to his Sony version, but maybe more of a people pleaser, even though he's not the symbiote we should be worried about.

Medusalith Amequelin/Mary Jane Watson/Medusa.

Medusa ended up escaping to Earth after realizing she didn't want to be queen (Mostly because of Attilan's corruption as well as how wrong having a Genetic Council that determines who can and who can't have babies is. As well as shoving all their disabled subjects underground to work.), so she took a ship and blasted off, not without crashing and losing her memories however.

So now she's on Earth, alone, and trying to figure out what to do. Lost and having no idea where she is, she tries to find someone that knows.

That answer was Anna Watson, who lost her daughter long ago and well, this girl looked almost like her aside from the eyes and hair length, so against her better judgement and out of grief for her lost daughter, she used Medusa's lost memories to her advantage.

So cut ahead to her high school days, the party girl MJ Watson being everyone's crush at Midtown Tech, but not a single person interested her. She became that because well, it made her 'mother' happy.

But then once out of high school... she saw a hero. Her first hero sighting and it lit a fire in her. That hero? The Recluse. Realizing her hair can move, she decides to become something more.

Medusa.

To say she's is a fan is an understatement. She absolutely wants to work alongside the Recluse. So she heads out to 'help' him. Jack doesn't know what to make of this new ally.

She's carefree, one hell of a fighter beyond just the hair with the variety and utility. Not only that, but she's somewhat quippy too. Might have some moments of her anger being quiet and giving off Slasher vibes.

The Michael Myers head tilt would be a thing with her. She kinda... likes dismantling her friend's rogues. (Also sort of inspired by Sindel's Fatality in MK 1 with her hair like... holy shit.)

Of course he's grateful for the help, but she might be a little too clingy to him. She knows when to step back, but a memory of someone important keeps her by his side.

For some reason... Jack feels safe to her. Throughout this arc, Medusa discovers her origin and Jack discovers the world's much wider than the city, with the Inhumans existence at risk and the world of 3329 just as hostile or more hostile to Mutants, it'll be trouble.

Jack's Love Life and General Development.

It's a very complicated dance between Felicia and Medusa. Mostly because they're both extremely different. Felicia and Medusa share the fact that they're okay with double lives, but one's more protective than the other.

It doesn't really serve his development, but it serves theirs. Not that love is the end goal but it's something nice to cap it off with. That, and I can't decide between a really cool option and giving Felicia at least ONE universe where she gets a Spider without dying or something dumb breaking them up.

The most important thing about it is the fact that Jack's biggest hurdle is depending on others in general. So it's letting his friends in and trying to balance the fact that most of his loved ones know he's the Recluse with the fact that his rogues are constantly improving.

He absolutely refuses to let anyone die. That night saving the train for his first rescue affected his work ethic as the Recluse quite greatly. He doesn't need a mantra, but he doesn't have the same mentality as a Peter.

He's doing it out of love. He loves being the Recluse, he loves his family, he loves his friends, and he loves his city. So why not? Why shouldn't he help the city that he loves?

All of this comes down to execution. Please tell me what you all think of my ideas thus far. And the headcanons Jack has.

Cat and Mouse (PS4! Felicia Hardy x Reader)

[Summary: Being a new hero in New York was hard. It was even harder when all of Spider-man’s old villains broke out of the raft. You had worked with him enough, so when he called and asked you to help with a side project while he was busy, you agreed. Little did you know, the game of cat and mouse would end a lot differently than you expected. (She/her pronouns)

You back hurt. Your chest hurt. Everything hurt. You had been out late at night, helping Spider-man stop a string of simple robberies throughout the city. You were still new at the whole hero thing, so you took quite a few hits.

You had just started your hero work recently, after discovering that you had the power to summon a pair of wings to appear on your back out of nothing. They were nearly bullet proof, and after a bit of practice you could fly pretty fast. You were still getting used to actually using the wings in combat, though, and they weren’t much help when it came to anything stealthy. So there was still quite a bit of work for you to do.

But your rest was cut short by a familiar ringtone, “Uuuugh. What do you want, Spidey?”

“Sorry to wake you up, Angel,” It was odd to have a hero name like that, one that sounded like a pet name. He always said it so formally, though, which you appreciated, “I’m a little busy at the moment, but an old… friend of mine is in town, and I was wondering if you could help me out.”

“I’m not dealing with any of your big villains,” You said. A lot of them had broken out recently. You understood that it was a lot of work for him, but you really weren’t ready to deal with any of them.

“No, no, it's not that,” He sounded exhausted, “Blackcat might be back in business, and I was wondering if you could just check out what’s going on? I’ll send you the address she told me to go to, just check it out and see what’s up, so I have time to deal with everyone else?”

You had heard of Blackcat. She was good at what she did, but she wasn’t exactly dangerous. She played games, but she wasn’t likely to try to murder you, “Yeah, okay. As long as I don’t have to deal with any of your weird homicidal arch enemies.”

Maybe you were stupid to think this would go well. Finding the message she left for Spidey was pretty easy. Using the camera to find her little cat robot was pretty easy, too. What made it a lot worse, was the second you hung up the call with the police captain that Spidey had been working with, your phone pinged with an influx of notifications. Your map app had lit up like a Christmas tree with new addresses that Blackcat wanted you, or, well, Spidey, to go to.

You were pretty surprised, though, when your phone started ringing with a call from a number you had never seen before, “Hello?”

“Well, hey there, birdie,” You hear a voice purr from the other side, “I wasn’t expecting Spidey to send his pretty new sidekick, but I won’t say I’m upset.”

“I’m not a sidekick,” You say, trying to sound tough. Though, you couldn’t help but blush a little at the word pretty, “Did you need something, Cat? I thought you had retired.”

“Maybe I just want to play a game,” She purrs, “Won’t you play with me?”

She didn’t seem upset that it was you instead of Spider-man. She really seems to just be playing games, so you thought after she realized it was you instead of her boy-toy, she’d get bored. But she still seemed to be having fun. She had set up all the clues, and you could tell they were new, since the recordings were addressed to you instead of Spider-man.

She seemed to be getting more and more flirty with each recording. You were starting to regret your choice in name every time she said it. You were really trying not to be so much of an idiot that you’d let a beautiful woman with a soothing voice convince you to let her off the hook just because you had a crush on her. But it was a bit of a challenge.

After a while, you were pretty sure that you had reached the end of the trail she had set up for you. It was a lot of flying, and a lot of taking five-minute breaks in order to stop yourself from losing focus. You had seen pictures of her, and at some point you started to wish you hadn’t.

Felicia Hardy was gorgeous. Her hair was white, and it always looked perfectly and shiny in the pictures. Her eyes were bright blue, nearly the color of the sky. She was tall, and surprisingly thin for someone who seemed so fit. And her costume itself seemed to add to her flirty nature. It was perfect for her job, but it also really gave off dominatrix vibes.

You were landing on a rooftop in order to take a break when you got the phone call. The police captain. She didn’t call you usually. Something was very wrong, “Do you remember all those little cat statues at all of the places you reported Blackcat robberies?”

“Yes…” You drew the word a bit. You remembered. They weren’t really statues. Spidey had told you about them before. They were electronic. They had some sort of radio signal. You figured that the NYPD knew that, though.

“They set off some sort of signal when we put them all in evidence and Blackcat was able to break in and take all of her old gear,” You held back a string of insults. How were they so incompetent that they didn’t realize to block the signal those things put off? But you were sure it wasn’t her fault. It was likely that she just had some street cops deal with it. They didn’t really get a lot of training on mastermind burglars.

“Alright, I’ll figure it out,” You sigh, still biting back a few snarky comments. You hang up, taking a deep breath before loading up a program on your phone that Spidey had set up. You just needed to find a trace of the radio signal and you’d be able to trace it to a specific location.

You flew up as high as you could, hoping it could pick up something. If there was anything relating to Blackcat in the area, you should be able to trace it. Otherwise, you’d just fly across the city until you could.

Luckily for you and your tired wings, your phone pinged in just a few minutes. You were pretty quick to make it over to the are where your phone marked. Nearby was a subway tunnel that was condemned until it was repaired. And it the theme Blackcat had going, she had marked it with a mural. She was theatrical.

You ducked into the tunnel, running a hand along the wall to see if you could find anything odd. About halfway in you found a slight gap in the wall, about the same as a few of the other cracks in the wall, but it was too clean. It all seemed a little sloppy for Felicia, so you wondered if it was possible that she was leading you into some sort of trap. But of course, you didn’t think about that until you were already opening the door.

The room behind the moving wall was full of expensive things. Things you were pretty you couldn’t afford if you worked your whole life and spent nothing. Paintings, expensive wine, money. You knew Spidey was too much of a goody-goody, but you couldn’t help but be enchanted by the wealth surrounding you.

“An angel among her heavens,” a voice purred behind you. It was close. Closer than you thought it was possible to get without you noticing.

White hair, blue eyes, and the signature black mask was all right in front of you. The smirk on her face was much more intimidating in person. Everything about her told you that if she wanted to, she could pin you to the wall with very little effort. And you were kind of into it?

“Cat, what exactly are you planning? Don’t you think that game was a little much?” You ask, trying to sound uninterested.

“Aw, come on, Angel,” She pouts at you, and your heart flutters, “Maybe I just wanted a bit of attention. You know, I've been neglected lately.”

“Felicia, you stole your gear back. I know you’re planning something big. What is it?” You could tell that she could see that you were breaking, despite how tough you thought you were acting.

“Hmmmm,” She hummed, shifting a bit closer to you, “Perhaps there’s a way I can convince the pretty little angel to let me slide for just a little while. You can even come catch me in a day or two if you really still want to.”

Her hands were on your shoulders, sliding down your arms. Her eyes were inches from your own. They really were as blue as you thought they’d be. Icy, like a frosty winter breeze. She was sliding her nails down your arms, lightly scratching your skin. God, she was gorgeous. Fuck, you were an idiot.

“Come now, Kitten,” She purred, leaning into your ear, “Let’s have some fun, and then we’ll continue our game.”

You knew it was stupid. But you couldn’t stop yourself. Before you knew it, you were pressed up against a wall, your mouth against hers. She smells like catnip and expensive perfume. Beautiful and floral. Your hands were wandering before you could even think about it. And before you knew it, you were in this far too deep.

Felicia stops an explosion with her keen electrical expertise. Nice.

Making Peter be uncharacteristically mean again because of course the writers have to follow up something great with something awful.

He slipped a tracer on her which normally wouldn’t be bad but this is coming right off a fight where he told her she was “just like everyone else” and stormed off” so not a good moment for her to discover this. Doesn’t come across as a safety measure in this context, only distrust. OUCH.

Fe and MJ having tea at her apartment and gossiping about Peter gives me serotonin. And Peter walks in on it (or swings in actually) so they get to continue their argument from last night.

He says he put the tracker on her so he could find her and apologize after he cooled down but then the tracker deactivated and he freaked out so the subtext from this scene is that he probably was out all night looking for Felicia. Which I guess makes up for the asshole behavior earlier because once again they’re stressing Peter Parker the hell out, but he’s also still angry so this argument still isn’t completely settled I take it. He has no clothes to change into but he has to get MJ home so Felicia gives him some clothes that Flash left there pre-breakup (yikes).

Fe says she still jealous but it’s not getting in the way of their friend trio which is a much better vibe than what this all started with.

She takes on a job for the Pharma company she just saved. They want something called the “chimera” which their rivals stole possession of or whatever. It’s really shady.

they make us think she’s flirting with this guy to get info but a different angle shows she’s got him in a pressure hold and he squeals instantly lmaooo

She’s fighting Faze on the boat. She threatens him with a self-destruct program on the disc she shoved into the computer. He runs away and she’s disappointed she didn’t get to see if it would actually blow him up or not. Never change Felicia. Never change.

She hijacks a helicopter and throws Faze out. She also throws him a life raft because she’s not a monster.

She brings the new disc with the chimera info on it (or whatever) to her old friend Loop while he’s in prison so he can decode it.

The guy that hired her pressured her into going back to his place so he could “tell her the truth” and of course he’s trying to get her to sleep with him so she knocks him out with a sedative and goes through his shit. Imagine the restraint it must have taken for her to not knock him out with a solid punch to the face.

She breaks into his lab and finds a weird lab obviously being used for inhumane purposes.

They’re trying to make super-soldier cyborgs, aren’t they?

She’s teaming with Cardiac for this I guess.

Self-destruct protocols activate in the lab. Cardiac urges Fe to leave, but she refuses. She wants to save the experiments, who are begging for help.

Cardiac forces her out anyway and she is PISSED he let those people die.

“Pet”. Really? I feel like if a guy like the Foreigner called Felicia “pet” she would rip his eyes out with her bare hands. Not only because it feels like she’s been pressured into joining him / by implication their physical relationship, but he acts like he owns her and I just don’t think she would ever vibe with that.

Boo. At least this awful storyline is almost over and they can skirt Felicia off to Europe than bring her back for an arguably worse storyline.

Reading the wiki to try to understand what I read the other day and I just want to take this opportunity to point out why I DON’T vibe with this storyline anymore.

Everything up through the Dr. Strange stuff and the Sabretooth attack was GREAT but it all went downhill when they had Felicia join the Foreigner and I can’t even wait until I finish the whole arc to tell you why none of this sits well with me. Buckle up because it’s a bit lengthy.

Synopsis straight from the wiki:

The Black Cat updated her look and her attitude and rekindled her relationship with Spider-Man. She made peace with his need for a normal life as Peter Parker and stood by him while he was being accused of murder as Spider-Man.

Together they tracked down the source of the elaborate scheme to frame him and fought the mercenary known as the Foreigner. Eventually, just as his life seemed to be coming together, Spider-Man came home to discover Black Cat discussing her plans to ruin his life. He followed her to find she had never forgiven him for breaking up with her and in revenge became the Foreigner's lover.

Yet, during her ruse and despite her anger, Felicia began to fall back in love with Peter. In the end, the Black Cat double crossed the Foreigner and left for Europe to find a new life, which unexpectedly pushed Peter to find support and a new relationship with Mary Jane Watson.

Months later, the Black Cat returned to America to seek out Peter Parker and was devastated when informed by Venom that Peter had married Mary Jane Watson. Angry and jealous, Felicia began harassing the couple, physically threatening Mary Jane and taunting Peter as she dated his friend Flash Thompson. The Black Cat eventually moved past her feelings of anger and jealousy, and became friends with both Spider-Man and Mary Jane.

*sighs*

okay first of all

I will never be able to accept the notion that Felicia Hardy would EVER want to actively seek to hurt Peter Parker. I know they write her like this A LOT in future comics but I cannot stress enough how far this strays from her original characterization. And not in the name of character development, either, because Felicia’s unwillingness to hurt Peter came from character development in the first place. It came from their relationship and her falling in love with him, and they make a point of pointing out several times how she still has a soft spot for him after their break up. Even when he hurt her, intentionally or no, she was never able to bring herself to do the same in return. So much conflict after their break-up came from the idea Peter had that she was trying to hurt him, but the hook was always she NEVER did.

They make it clear to us, the readers, that there is no way she would do this, but Peter doesn’t have that knowledge, thus the conflict and the tension of us having knowledge that our protagonist doesn’t have. We know he’s making the wrong choices, but we can’t get too angry at our hero because we KNOW that HE doesn’t know WHY his choices are wrong. We see these choices hurt Felicia, but HE doesn’t know that it’s happening. Because that’s something only someone from our perspective as the quasi-omniscient reader can know. And this was a really effective narrative technique imo because it created SO MUCH tension.

But skip forward a few issues, and all of that knowledge that they so carefully crafted and presented for us to use as our foundation for this arc is suddenly WORTHLESS. There’s no more tension around whether or not Felicia would actually cause these things to happen to Peter, because out of nowhere she’s suddenly flipped and wants to ruin his life.

So, devil’s advocate, say we accept that Felicia’s out to ruin Peter’s life now. Then WHY would she stand by him for so long and go to such great lengths to help him UNFUCK his life? He gets accused of murder, which should be all she needs to grind the salt into the wound as she supposedly wants to, yet she defends him? She plays the long con, actively working AGAINST her own primary objective to maintain a ruse? A ruse that becomes so shaky that they’ve legitimately confused me about her true motivations at present? She just almost took a spray of bullets for the man she says she wants to ruin for the SECOND time. She’s defending him from his detractors. She’s fighting for his privacy and comfort. And you’re telling me she wants to actually ruin him???

All we get that shows that this is a ruse and she wants to ruin his life are these vague moments of plotting with the Foreigner, but she doesn’t do shit to actually bring these plans to fruition (that they’ve shown us thus far). Peter only figures her ruse out when he overhears her plotting, which is the shittiest way to reveal a betrayal in a narrative honestly.

She falls back in love with Peter, which is quite obvious, and betrays the Foreigner during the climax. But how can that be your climax when she has done nothing but interfere in the Foreigner’s schemes against Peter thus far? Schemes she’s SUPPOSEDLY in on, yet she almost dies SEVERAL times to stop them. They tell us her “true” intentions in these plotting scenes, yet none of it ever comes through in her actions. EVER. It’s to the point where it’s creating confusion for me, because the narrative is split into two super conflicting plotlines where you don’t know what’s the truth and what’s not, and NOT in the fun mystery way.

Anyway, skip ahead a bit more and she leaves for Europe to start a new life, then apparently comes back, finds out Peter and MJ have gotten married, then gets angry and starts harassing them? Fucking WHAT? SHE LEFT! SHE WAS DONE WITH THEM! Did she get fucking amnesia in Europe or something? Why come back and be angry and harass them when SHE was the one who left, right when she had a chance to reset with Peter BEFORE he got back with MJ? I truly cannot understand the absolute hoops they’re trying to jump through to bring Felicia back as a villain and pit her against MJ. It’s ridiculous. She left Peter because she thought he’d be happier without her. The sudden attitude change makes no sense AT ALL.

I’m not even at this arc yet, but let me preemptively correct it in one sentence and make it what should have REALLY happened in the first place.

“The Black Cat eventually moved past her feelings of anger and jealousy, and became friends with both Spider-Man and Mary Jane.”

Done. Omit the nonsense. Let them be friends and move on. Stop ignoring your own canon / Felicia’s characterization whenever you feel like making her a villain Marvel I’m begging you. I don’t care if this was the 80′s, Marvel has a track record and while I love the current Black Cat run, I’m scared they’ll do this to her again when they pull her into other series. Because they KEEP doing it to her and will never stop apparently.

Other little things I have issues with but don’t warrant as much addressing atm:

Her “romance” with Foreigner was random and pointless. Not a healthy relationship either, considering she was pressured into working for him through acts of violence. It was literally join him or die. Doubt she’d sleep with a creep like that.

The idea of her romancing Flash is just so weird to me. He’s not her type at all, and I feel like she was just with him to get back at Peter, which again is bullshit.

Now that I think of it they really just keep shoving her off in random romances built out of spite which isn’t Felicia’s vibe AT ALL

Feels like they tried to shove her into the same misogynisic “desperate sexpot villainess” and “crazy ex girlfriend” tropes every single time they try to write her as a villain and constantly have her and MJ be awful to each other for no reason so Thanks I Hate It

tl;dr I’m sure absolutely none of this makes sense because it’s all adhd brain rambles but just know that this is the second multi-year arc in a row featuring Black Cat in the 70′s / 80′s Spidey comics that started beautifully and then crashed and burned the moment they decided to derail Felicia Hardy’s character and I’m so disappointed
