I just want to say that I LOVE that both teams have chosen a disaster (event) as their own instead of running from it. The toxic gas that pollutes your lungs, makes you howl out of excitement, poisons your brain and makes you mad and the everlasting winter that follows you everywhere, hunts your enemies and feels warm like home :)

silly little thought that circulates my mind everyday but lloyd subconsciously leaning on the ninja or smthn whenever he's tired and the ninja immediately noticing it and doing something about it

maybe they're at the commissioner's office after a battle, reporting to him what happened when Kai feels someone leaning against him. he looks down and sees lloyd loosely wrap his hand around Kai's fingers as he subtly shifts his body weight onto the side leaning against Kai. His face remains focused on the words Nya and Zane were speaking but on a closer glance, Kai saw the way the kid's eyes were blinking fast as if to delay sleep and how he pursed his lips to keep his yawn in

he's clearly exhausted but is fighting it. and Kai was not letting that happen

thus begins Operation: Bedtime™️

Kai settled his eyes on Cole and waited till the other noticed before he tilted his head slightly towards the kid and the earth master instantly understood. cole nudges jay and with one quick glance and jay was already- metaphorically- rolling up his sleeves

Jay: GUYS! I- uh, FORGOT TO TURN OFF MY TOASTER AGAIN! Whoops, haha! silly me :D

Nya: jay how many times have i told you to stop making eggs in your toastoH OH YEAH ME TOO

the second he hears toaster, zane is already asking pixal to send their vehicles and that Operation: Bedtime™️ is a go

rushing bc im hungry but basically the Commish is like ????tf ing but Cole is already picking up Lloyd who is startled for a hot second before Kai pets his hair and he literally just *shlump* against Cole while Zane has opened the door and Nya and Jay are trying to explain the commisioner that they'll text the rest of the deets later and just. runs.

six minutes and at least three broken traffic laws, they're back at the monastery and are running-as gently as possible- to Lloyd's room where Pixal and Master Wu has already turned on the night light, made sure the humidifier is running and the beds ready

with a flurry of movement and sharp whispers, Lloyd is finally asleep tucked into bed with Kai's old dragon plushie cuddled to his chest and warm blankets covering him as the ninja pat themselves on the back as a "mission accomplished" and also look at their little greenie fondly

this doesnt happen often though bc after bad experiences with lloyd not sleeping properly and him almost getting hurt due to it, zane has like an internal alarm for Lloyd's bedtime and if he is not in bed five minutes after the alarm by himself, the ninja will Not Hesitate

Operation: Bedtime™️ is an extremely sensitive, high priority mission that needs to be executed perfectly because the only time it's intiated is when lloyd shows signs of tiredness which he is usually very good at hiding (to a concerning amount)

more mathias bc he's been on my mind as of late (+ the staring brothers)

another drawing is underneath, but it contains blood and harsh colors so prepare. i'll also be explaining the context & just talking about some lore i've came up for him...

okay. anyways hello. welcome to my explaining, [pats the couch next to me]. take a seat.

mathias is a vampire, so it's not really uncommon for vampires to experience hunger for blood and well, it's something they need to consume to live.

i really enjoyed the idea of mathias being heavily religious and having like. guilt about the mere thought of his nature and what he needs to do to survive ─ he doesn't typically want to hurt anyone because, well, that'd make him a bad person. and no one wants to be a bad person.

he can't stand the sight of blood at times, usually people just think, "oh, he's sensitive to the sight of blood like some person are!" but it's... not typically that. it's because he gets the urge to feed into his nature, to let his desire for blood.

but mathias was never... really meant to be holy and the way he is from the beginning. he was born a monster, born someone who didn't have normal desires as humans. but he didn't really want to be this way, so he tries so hard to get away from that.

jokes on him, though, because he can't really escape his own nature and who he really is.
