Rose wasn't going to let Rookwood and Harlow get in the way of what was probably the best day of her life so far. She barely got to eat anything the night before, when she was late for the sorting ceremony.  Sirona ordered the great feast for Rose and Sebastian. "On me," she said. 

Rose didn't hesitate. She engulfed everything in her path. Sebastian was shocked at how ravenous she suddenly became. When it looked like she didn't even chew at one point, he exclaimed, "Slow down!" To him it was as if she had never eaten a good meal before in her life. He made this sentiment out loud. "That's because I haven't!" Rose said with puffed cheeks. Sebastian's face changed from shock and amazement to concern. Her face changed to slight embarrassment. "Oops." she thought. She swallowed and cleared her throat. 

"Oh, please don't look at me like that," she said. "I have always enjoyed eating, and I'm very hungry." He smiled a bit. "Of course. Eat up. You deserve it." She had already resumed before he finished that sentence. Sebastian couldn't help but want to know everything about her, and he looked forward to doing so.
