i wanna talk about my Fallout OCs so HERE WE GOOO

I've already talked about Miranda at length, so I'm gonna skip over her for now. But she is very important to me. 🫶

Jim "Pops" O'Connell - Miranda's adoptive father and a super mutant. A devout Catholic, he refused to follow the Master, and chose to flee the West Coast rather than serve a man he considered an antichrist. He settled in (town I haven't named yet) and currently runs the general store; when raiders try to sneak in, he scares them off. Despite his enormous stature and fearsome appearance, Jim is a perfectly kind man. He's well respected by his community and loves his adoptive daughter with all his heart.

Captain Alden Vance - a ghoul NCR ranger pursuing a lead on Legion splinter groups. He was transformed during the Great War, though unlike his fellow ghouls, he has kept the same name his entire life. Vance was the only member of his family to retain his intelligence and personality -- his beloved children and wife succumbed fully to radiation and became feral, and he was forced to kill them. These days, Vance keeps a photo of his family tucked by his heart, under his armor. He is deeply fond of Miranda, as she reminds him of his lost daughters.

Carolina - an upper crust young woman whose family retained their wealth over the course of the intervening 200 years. She is snobby, aloof, and difficult to approach; this toughness hides a lonely interior, and a harsh, unwavering will to survive. Carolina's family have hoarded their money and live on an isolated ranch, with representatives speaking for them. After leaving the ranch following an argument with her father, Carolina has not seen him in five years. She currently works on a farm directing the farmhands and managing the books.

Max/Maximus - Miranda's younger brother, a Prime Legionary. When Miranda and her brother were taken by the Legion, the two were separated; Miranda became a slave, and Max became a soldier. Due to being only eight when he was taken, Max adapted easily to his new life, and participated in many raids. The trauma of his parents' deaths and his sister's kidnapping has left a gaping hole in his memory, one he secretly wishes he could fill. (Later, he and Miranda are reunited, and she convinces him to turn his back on the Legion.)
