More Trishie facts!
I'm in the mood to talk about her appearance.
Hair
She switches between two styles:
short cut that she dyes different colors (ginger, green, blonde, red) and gels down.
medium-sized box braids that often have hints of color. most times it's down or pushed back, but when she's feeling spicy, she styles them in creative ways liiiike this one, and this one with a claw clip securing it anddd this one!
Piercings
She generally wears gold or rose gold with gemstones like amber, jade, and opal. She has:
two ear piercings on each ear with the first hole stretched. she has different color plugs that are usually where the gemstones are incorporated, and they're all about this size.
a nose ring, gold hoop, on the her right nostril.
a belly button piercing that's still healing so it's the only silver jewelery on her body and nobody sees it.
Tattoos
the shape of planet saturn on the back of her neck in red ink.
a faceless fat body line art on her left thigh.
Fashion
She's a soft girl and that shows in her clothes. She wears lots of earthy colors, the lighter side of the spectrum--greens, browns, and whites.
lots of dresses that range from this to this toooo this.
she wears l o t s of corsets. like, lots. it takes up a good amount of her money actually (trishe: worry not, there's a budget.) they're actually fire.
she does switch it up tho. she's not loyal to one kind of clothing, only textures and color palettes. i'll do my best to put a good examples that represent her wardrobe well in her pinterest board.

Random fact about Trishie.
She studies herbs for many reasons, one of them being magic.
She likes to forage (*trishe's voice* sustainably) when she can. This includes flowers and roots too. She doesn't talk about it much with others since there is a very specific reason why she's into plants--it's not only a hobby for her and it unlocks memories and thoughts that she feels not everyone needs to have access to--but when she shares, it's like you're seeing her core.

Hi you. I saw your comment on my intro post. I’m very happy you’re interested in Trishe. She appreciates the love lol
How much patience does you OC have? Are they patient? Or are they easily irritable?
Trishe is pretty patient in general. She loves things that take time—learning how to cook that new thing that requires simmering something, growing a plant from a seed, studying world history, tryin that new makeup look, retaining a new language, putting together pinterest boards. With people, she’s aight but only when she’s communicated with. You can’t leave her in the dark. And she’ll let you know very quickly what she needs to feel secure enough to offer patience in return.
Okay, so it depends. But without nuance mmm naaaah Lina’s not the patient type. She’s too chaotic. She likes to move and keep her hands busy. Also, she gets antsy if she sits in something for too long whether that be a chair or a feeling.
What kind of sleep schedule does your OC have?
Trishe gets up at 7 every morning and goes to bed at 10:00, 10:30 the latest every night unless otherwise compromised by a night out, a study sess, etc. She has no choice. Her body just gives out. So if she’s not wiping off her makeup and cleaning her face by 7:00, she in trouble. She typically doesn’t do naps because it’s hard for her to knock out and even harder for her to get up when it’s time. So she needs those 8 hours.
Lina loves the night, yes because she’s the drummer of a band, but also because it’s the best time to watch them cute youtube videos of sea otters bathing or that 3-hour livestream of that one dude coding a drum machine using python. The bags under her eyes add to her masc looks. It’s like they’re cradling her eyes when she smiles. She’s kinda cute (so cute so gorgeous i love her so much–).
What would your OC do if they were chased by a dog?

I can hear Trishe’s voice in my head. “First of all, do I look like the flavor of human that would put herself in that sort of situation?”
Nah. She might as well just lay down and die right there. She’d run. Probably think to mace the dog, but would be too terrified.
Upon seeing the doggo, Lina would think to befriend it first because she loves the pups, but it’d click that this could be the last dog she’ll ever pet by the way it’s snarling. First thing out her mouth is to run. Yes, she’s talking to herself but everybody around should take heed. Her mother hates dogs and has spent most of Lina’s childhood warning her about them. So she’d haul ass to jump the nearest fence. You know how people jump but forget to land on their feet? That’s Li. She’d end up angled sideways and would fall with an “oof.”

If they were one of the 7 sins, what sin would they be?
I've answered this for Trishe before and my answer remains the same.
She'd be pride. To relay how I described it on my other blog, she has a habit of getting lost in her self-importance and a desire to be in control, which is why she's so intense about people being honest with her. She wishes for her loved ones to hold up a mirror so she can constantly monitor herself. That has its pros and cons.
How petty are they? And what length of pettiness would they go for?
Trishe is one of my pettiest. And, she's calculated with it. At times she gets enjoyment from pretending the person who gains and seeks the most attention in a social group went missing. This is usually as a joke with a friend, but she can switch the intention up real quick, if necessary. Very much “Where’s *put name here*? We gotta find them!” in a faux panicked tone the second after said person starts speaking. It’s funny because she doesn’t emote. Ask her why she does it and she’ll say “Disrupting the effects of desirability politics in real time.” With emphasis she’d say, “Shifting the narrative” while doing that 🤌🏾 thing with a hand.
She’s the type to get in a back and forth with someone about something small that escalates, and then, take months to prove them wrong. She’s not a person you want to say, “Tell me the last time I did that then.” or “Nah, you lying.” to. She will promptly end the discussion, take months to collect data, and present it to you in prezi slides with text, images, and graphs.
(More than one OC) If your all of your OCs played among us, who'd be the best imposter? And who'd be the worst?
Remi would be the best imposter because they’re quiet half the time anyway. How can you read them?
Diahna would absolutely be the worst imposter. They’d be too excited. Also, they don’t want to kill anyone.

okay
definitely, remi, trishe, and diahna. now, this can easily change by tomorrow lol but for now, these three are It and i feel like they'll spread out on the scale.
remi is definitely Will Stab if Hugged, but instead they'd hammer because they're a blacksmith and if you try and fuck with them in the middle of a job, and actually manage to touch them, they're coming for you.
trishe is right in the middle. it depends on the day, her mood, and who you are. it's like her to be the most unpredictable of the three lol you just never know what you're going to get with trishe horton.
diahna is a lovebug so hugs all around. it's very rare that they don't like someone (but also watch out if you get on their bad side). they just want everyone to have a good time.

it's trishe!!!!! again!!!!
she has the best pokerface because it's her default expression. her voice is deadpan so oftentimes people don't know if she's joking or not (which is pretty fun for her because she's goofy).
people very rarely know when she's lying. diahna is one of the few who catches her (almost) every time. what gives trishe away is her nervous tick. she twists her lips when she’s anxious or blushing or confused or really happy to the point where she’s trying to stop a smile from forming. with certain people, she can't stop it from happening. it's pretty cute.

what's the quality that trishe has that is least similar to yourself?
she’s self-assured. like, she has her insecurities as we all do, but her first instinct is to have faith in herself and what she does and says. she goes for what (and who) she wants. and it’s always been that way. if someone asked how she’s so confident (the word that’s commonly used), she’d reply, “why wouldn’t i be?” plain and simple. i think this can have it’s downsides too ofc, esp. at her young age.
oh also, she likes mint chocolate chip.

diahna would be wrath. listen, my baby has been thru a lot, and has many things to unlearn. they make matters worse by stomaching their anger until it unleashes itself. granted i do think their rage is warranted. them being the oc whose most like me has absolutely nothing to do with it. 👀

a quick note/reminder: lina is @purrfectwriting's oc!
Trishe: As a broke college student who dwells among other broke college students, my priority would be to find something free. Assuming the person is a New York native, I'd choose a museum that encourages donation. If not that then, a place with lots of local plant shops so I can give them random plant facts unwarranted. Preferably, there would be cafes or bubble tea spots close-by so we can sit and share macaroons. If they don't like the pistachio flavor, I will judge them very harshly. That is all.
Lina: I'd take them to a park. Or like an arcade or something. Somewhere we'd get comfortable quickly because we're focused on the fun instead of awkwardly staring into each other's eyes from across a table. After that, we can go eat at a place with lunch specials, and happy hour if they're 21+ because what's a friend for if I can't get them to order me alcohol?

wip: an unopened letter to the grim reaper | status: first draft
themes: loss and grief, familial relationships, sapphic love, spirituality, death
synopsis:
21-year-old trishe horton is not a fan of endings.
after the sudden death of her grandmother six years ago, she’s always felt they were way too permanent, like an amen at the end of a prayer. in the present day, during the start of her final year at columbia university, the news that her parents plan to sell her grandmama’s new orleans home doesn’t help to convince trishe otherwise.
it’s only when she meets an old high school crush, lina khan, off the pages of their many penpal letters and face-to-face for the very first time, that trishe finds a reason to relax into something. their reunion marks trishe’s first encounter with the thing she’s always longed for: a revival, a literal un-ending. and as her and lina’s love grows, trishe must confront her refusal to accept that sometimes, she just does not dictate what survives, and what comes to a close.

trishe horton (she/her, 21) - a methodical plant enthusiast from jamaica, queens. in most situations, is honest to a fault. likes to study. claims to be ready for the inevitable zombie apocalypse, but ironically, continues to work at a cemetery.
lina khan (she/her, 20) - an impulsive punk skater girl with a stare that could break stone. generally, loyal to the bone. loves women and all black clothing. easily forgetful, but somehow manages to remember the most complicated drum fills with sticks in her hands.
