Natsu’s soul sunk into her belly as she soared through the air on Violet's dirt bike. Even with a helmet and assurances of having an aetheric barrier of protection it did little to assuage the uneasiness that came with 200 lbs of Garlean metal between their legs bounding over sand dunes.

“If you squeeze me any tighter I'm going to pass out,” Violet warned through her linkpearl, not flinching as she landed and sharply turned to putter down a dip between the high mounds of sand.

“S-sorry,” Natsu said, loosening her grip.

“It's fine. You should worry about yourself too. I don't want you passing out because you grazed me wrong.”

“I'm sorry?”

“You get hit with the Echo by touch and given the way you forget with your gloves, you've got little control over it.”

“Yeah…I'm told that is not conventional. Most apparently have visions of an event, I seem to live it. Where I grew up…it…well…”

“I get it. I can dip into the lifestream…people aren't exactly kind to those who know things they shouldn't. You won't find yourself short of those who can empathize if you continue to stick around the Free Company.”

Natsu tensed up, turning to rest the cheek of her helmet on Violet's back. “I feel I've rather worn out my welcome. Leon…”

“Don't start with that shit. You didn't do anything wrong. You hear me?”

“But-”

“Look. I can count the people that are close to me on two hands. Leon was one of them. Whatever is going on didn't happen because he decided to play big brother in Y'zel's absence. He was a good guy and would not blame you for his circumstances. You said you felt what he was feeling. Did he even spare you a thought, anger or otherwise?”

Natsu went silent. She didn't like to dwell on her experiences with the Echo, but Violet had a point. She was the least of Leon's concerns. It helped, in a roundabout way.

“Thanks,” Natsu said weakly.

Violet turned her head a little bit to look back at the Au Ra, “I wouldn't thank me yet. I had an ulterior motive for dragging you along.” 

Natsu sat back a bit, looking at Violet before jumping in her seat as news articles flashed into her visor. She yelped as Violet hit the breaks to keep her from falling backward.

“I threw together some Allagan tech and my own to display audio visuals as a means of communication or tuning out to boring conversations.”

Natsu nodded, looking through the articles, the pages seeming to pick up on her attention. Most described catch and release kidnappings by Garlean soldiers. “I don't understand…these people are reporting that they were lightly interrogated and then released unharmed. What does this have to do with me?”

“Possibly nothing, but there's two things that have given me pause. One is that, while not reported, every victim had the Echo.”

Natsu tilted her head, reading through an article again, “How could you know?”

“I didn't at first. Which brings me to the second part. Three victims have not been returned. First a researcher who studies those with the Echo, Patient Heaven, then Archon Mikoto Jinba and the other a nobody in terms of status, Hayzel Summers.Here's the thing though, the latter is the brother-in-law of one of the Free Company's grunt workers. He had asked for help and divulged that they have the Echo as well. So I hit the pavement to get more information.

“The Archon has the ability to get glimpses of the future rather than look into the past while the other can manifest dreams and nightmares. The others involved had your run of the mill brief headaches with little bites of the past.”

Natsu thought for a moment, “What made you piece all of this together?”

“Boredom, mostly. I've grown accustomed to chaos.”

“And my place in all this?”

Violet didn't answer immediately, rolling through the dunes carefully. “I think you're a potential target, along with myself.”

“Because of our Echo…”

“Exactly,” Violent said crisply before stopping as they neared the walls of the Forgotten Springs, “What's more is that this all coincides with Y'zel's disappearance. Shortly after the abduction of Mikoto and the trickling in of reports he went missing and the database at headquarters was softlocked forcing Gage to beef up security measures. I believe he figured out what was going on and tried to sabotage whoever is looking for Echo users.”

“I don't understand. Why wouldn't he say something?”

Violet pulled off her helmet then shook out her hair. “Most likely to keep himself hidden given his own Echo. Not to mention he is notoriously bad at communication.”

Natsu pulled her helmet free then rubbed on her horns, finding them a bit itchy after being compressed inside the helmet. Violet crossed her arms, leaning on her cycle as she bit her thumb and got lost in thought for a moment before looking to the gate. “All of it feels connected…but the why eludes me. No reason to worry about it now anyway. Let's go see what had our favorite automaton fly this way.”

“Automaton?”

“Nyx.”

“Are they not a Miqo'te?” Natsu asked.

“I am not a Miqo'te,” a monotone voice came from behind.

Natsu jumped then turned around to find Nyx staring at her. Nervously she took a step back, feeling as if she were being assessed by their vacant stare. 

“Rahn has been harmed by an unknown assailant claiming to be me. The Drake clan has conflicting stories about traffic to and from his home. U-Rahn Tia has been damaged and cannot give an unbiased report. There is an urgent need to perform corrective violence. Possibly to the point of extermination of the threat.”

Violet was taken aback at the news, “Someone hurt him? Physically?”

“Yes. Rahn is not invulnerable. He can be poisoned, drowned, starved-”

“Maybe we don't list all the ways you've calculated to kill your boyfriend and just tell us what happened.”

“Understood. Asphyxiation.”

Natsu let out a little gasp in shock, though Nyx looked on unphased. The Hyur simply nodded then turned to lead them back into the village where Drake huntresses gathered around a singular house, well armed and looking worried. As Natsu looked back to see if Nyx was following, she found them just as suddenly absent.

Natsu soon found herself in U'rahn's small house. The Nuhn was laid out on a bed with a damaged Miqo'te mammet under his arm. He was propped up against a Miqo'te woman who had his similar sandy hair as he slept soundly while in her arms. U’rahn’s breathing was shallow and pained. A large plum colored bruise covered his neck.

“Shit,” Violet breathed out before looking up to the older Miqo'te. “Nyx said you don't know who did this? Are you certain this wasn't a Tia scuffle and the ladies are just covering it up? I don't see the guys around.”

The man rubbed his beard and shook his head, “Khuba and Thyka are scouting the area for trrraces of the assailant. I'm not optimistic. No one can agrrree on a damn thing.”

“I'm sure we'll figure out who hurt your son, U'odh,” Violet said, giving the Au Ra a glance.

Natsu quickly averted her gaze and began to fidget with her gloves. She began to look around quietly taking in the room to avoid the Hyur’s knowing gaze as they talked with U'rahn's father. 

The room was fairly organized with just two beds, a kitchenette, and small dining area. Faded posters of bomball players and teams were slapped across the wall along with a bunch of newer pictures of friends and family. Many featured him squished together in a frame with Nyx. Books were stacked up next to his bed, most on prenatal and child care, the Nuhn seeming to be expecting his first. And then of course a pile of clothes and adventuring gear. “Um…where did it happen,” Natsu asked.

U’odh turned, “In here. We found him on the ground with Lolamo nearby.”

“Did you clean up then?”

Violet quickly spun her head, “Shit. You're right, Natsu! U'rahn isn't exactly the most perceptive of his surroundings. If there was a fight there'd have been signs.”

U’odh shook his head and looked to his son and wife, “Only the mammet and U'rahn seemed harmed. There was also an iron skillet on the floorrr. Aside from that, nothing was amiss.”

The Hyur moved to the bed, reaching for the mammet before having her hand intercepted by Nyx. “You will not touch U-Rahn Tia. I will start on repairs after I have finished assessing the threat.”

Violet held her hands up defensively as Nyx backed away with U’rahn Tia, placing the mammett on the counter in the kitchenette. Natsu squirmed where she stood, feeling more and more on the spot, knowing well she could simply get their answers with a touch. Carefully she pulled her glove from her hand and walked toward the bed.

“Obinata,” Nyx’s voice sounded by her horn, “Your experience will be unpleasant if you proceed with your course of action.”

Natsu jumped, startled by Nyx’s swift interception, “H-How did you-” “Observation.”

“R-Right,” the Au Ra said before looking down at her hands, “But…I think I’m the only one that will take the guesswork out of what happened.”

“Understood. You may touch Rahn. I shall standby to pull you away should you express discomfort,” Nyx said, moving to stand stiffly at the side of the bed. 

“Thank you,” Natsu said before sitting beside the sleeping pair before carefully putting her hand on U’rahn’s bicep.

Her thoughts were scattered. One minute she was worrying about her huntress having enough broccoli to wondering what Jannie was getting up to with her wedding plans before starting to feel anxious about asking Nyx to marry her. No thought stayed too long though. 

Shje sighed, looking to her mom in the next bed wondering if she was ever going to recover and wake from her sleep. 

“Father. Not Not Mother is here,” U'rahn Tia chirped from beside his bed.

“No no buddy. Heck you're getting worse. Just say Mother. Not, Not Mother…er, Not Not Not Mother,” he said, scratching his  chin, fumbling on the words before perking up as Nyx let themself in, “Hey Hey! I've been good and staying put like you asked. Did they tell you U’goromuli is officially with child! I'm gonna be a dad!”

“Yes, Rahn,” Nyx said, attention turning to U'rahn Tia as he wandered toward them.

“Not Not Mother,” U'rahn Tia said, pointing up toward Nyx.

Nyx’s eyes narrowed. Natsu felt her heart race as a sense of dread came over them. Nyx didn't squint…or really make any expression. Standing, he quickly put himself between U'rahn Tia and the imposter. “Hey Hey! You know how you were telling me about where you came from the other day but I forgot whether you were from a Seeker tribe or Keeper tribe…or just a Miqo'te from neither.”

Nyx seemed to search his face, “I am just a Miqo'te.”

Her ears perked. This wasn't Nyx. They would never say they were a Miqo'te. Suddenly all their conversations from the past month ran through her mind, thinking on them expressing a dislike for food she'd made as too salty and her ambivalence toward U'rahn Tia aside from the occasional glance. There were times where he'd asked about something they'd said before but could not recall. 

“I'm such an idiot,” she said in disbelief before finding Nyx’s hand tight around his throat and lifting him much higher than they should be able to.

“I was intending on keeping you here until I finished, but if you're intent on getting in the way, Warrior of Light, I will have to put you down,” Nyx’s voice sounded, though filled with a strange frustration she thought impossible.

She squirmed and tried to kick but the shock of not having air made her quickly weaken in struggle. Her aetheric shield seemed to falter as she panicked , feeling her trachea be collapsed by the hand. Out of the corner of her eye she saw U'rahn Tia come forward and start punching at the imposter’s shin.

“It is herrro time,” the mammet said in his monotone before being kicked and sent into the wall.

Fear flooded Natsu, having never been faced with her own mortality. As she felt herself slipping into unconsciousness a soft familiar voice sounded, “Get…your hand…off my…baby!”

“Obinata!”

Natsu yelped as she was pulled back into Nyx’s strong arms. Shaking she quickly pushed past everyone to get outside, Violet and Nyx following. As she knelt down to get sick, she felt both pull her bangs back. Once finished, she wiped her face and sniffled as U’odh bought a cool wet cloth for her to clean up with.

“S-Someone who looked like Nyx came. He knew it wasn't them just from a look they gave the mammet and when they were wise to one another they attacked him…I think…I think his mom woke up to save him? He was really confused and relieved right before I felt him start to fade.”

“Talk about mother’s instinct,” Violet said before looking to Nyx, “Any chance you have sisters running around?”

“Extremely unlikely. And they would not match my appearance.”

“Then our mysterious changeling strikes again,” Violet mused.

Natsu shook out her head then stood up. “I should see what I can get with his mom. Maybe they'll see something.”

“Obinata, your heightened emotional state due to experiencing the perception of end of life has caused injury to your physical state. Food and rest is recommended before you make contact with another,” Nyx cautioned in their monotone.

Natsu blinked then held her stomach a moment before giving a little nod. “If you insist.”

“I do not insist. Your wellbeing will do more to help Rahn and find my target.”

“Well, I insist,” Violet interjected, handing Natsu her glove, “Have anything to eat old man?”

U’odh crossed his arms, furrowing his brow a bit. “I will do my best to fix something up. Have U’goromuli find you a room to rest in. She should be in our common building.”

With that the Nuhn turned, leaving the three to themselves, though Nyx seemed to vanish in the time it took for the other two to think to look back for them. Natsu sighed, lightly bumping into Violet as they entered the Forgotten Springs’ commons, letting the Hyur wrap her arm around her in comfort.

[HEADCANON] The Three Main Worlds

As you watch this blog, you'll likely see mention of three worlds that are referenced in this blog: Elysium, Ruined Kingdom, and Gaia. These terms can get a little confusing, so I wanted to unpack them a little for clarification.

The three main worlds are separate worlds / dimensions where, between them, all of the major muses originate from and that all minor muses either come from or are tied to in some way.

Elysium

Status: Active

Creator: Izanami

Current Arceus: Heidi

Homeworld of: Leaf, Zinnia, Rayquaza, Hilda, Serena, Lati

Elysium is the main world of the blog. It's the Pokémon world that we all know and love. This is the world where most of the events of the blog take place. Unless stated otherwise, assume that a post or thread is here.

The canon of the main games happened in this world with little changes (although insert a few small additions for Galar and Paldea). In addition, this world was mostly separated from other worlds for a very long time until the events of Sun and Moon.

The creator of the world is an Arceus by the name of Izanami; however, after her passing, Heidi now takes the place as the Acting-Arceus of the world.

Ruined Kingdom

Status: Destroyed

Creator: Friede

Current Arceus: Unknown

Homeworld of: Heidi, Melony, Nergal

Ruined Kingdom is another world on the blog, and is Heidi's homeworld. Things were a little different in the world and the world is technically 200 years ahead of time (i.e. the events of Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue in that world occurred 200 years in the past). 

The canon of the main games did not quite happen in this world from Generation IV onwards. Friede, the Arceus of the world, created an entire city within the Hall of Origin for people and Pokémon to live in; however, due to this, Team Galactic attempted to further their plans by attempting to subdue Friede herself. This event led to a downward spiral for both Friede and the city as a whole. Eventually, 100 years ago, Friede destroyed the world in the start of a crusade to purge the multiverse of humanity.

The world is a desolate land with only very few Legendary Pokémon remaining. Time does not flow, and space is only being maintained by Eden, the Palkia of the world. With Friede gone, it is not known how the world is still standing.

All Legendary Pokémon that originate from Ruined Kingdom only have human forms. Heidi is the sole known exception to this rule. It is not known why this is the case, nor why Heidi is the exception. In addition, while Legendary Pokémon from the Ruined Kingdom are technically catchable, all Pokéballs / Beast Balls that do not exclusively use Ruined Kingdom materials have only 10% of the intended catch rate. Heidi is the sole exception to this rule.

Ruined Kingdom is the homeworld of the following minor muses: Jörmungandr, Meredith, Tor, Morgan, Leifi, Icathia, Naresa, Eden, Eir, Aegir / XD001, Nyx, and Arya.

Gaia

Status: Semi-Destroyed

Creator: Morrigan

Current Arceus: Morrigan

Homeworld of: Lauren

Gaia is a mentioned world of the blog, although it'll likely be more prevalent soon. It's a world where Mega Evolution never existed (ex. Ruby and Sapphire instead of OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire). Mega Evolution doesn't work in the world and is incompatible in the blog. Those who come from this world are also incapable of performing Mega Evolution.

This follows the canon of the main games up until Generation V. Kalos and the other regions do exist; however, they have not undergone the events of their associated games.

Heidi lived in this world for 1,000 years. She was transported here from Ruined Kingdom until soon after Elysium's events of Sun and Moon. The Ultra Wormholes that were summoned from the Aether Incident caused her and Lauren to be sucked out of Gaia and into Elysium, which is why they live in Elysium to this day.

The world no longer has humans*. A year after Heidi and Lauren disappeared, Friede commanded Morrigan, the Arceus of the world, to destroy all of humanity. Morrigan agreed and kicked off a civil war between the Legendary Pokémon in her world that wanted to save the humans and those that did not. Those that wanted to save the humans all lost and were killed alongside the humans that they tried to protect.

Pokémon from this world have the normal catch rate.

Currently, the only known minor muse who comes from Gaia is Chrona, the Dialga of the world and Lauren's ex-girlfriend.

Honkai Impact 3rd, a dream came true...

How did I discovered this amazing game?

I don't remember well if it was one because one of my friends was making drawings with a big reference of it or because I've seen this video like 2 or 3 times as a Youtube Add...

My first impresion about this add was about a game with anime girls and a lot of "fanservice". However, when I saw the entire video, my idea changed. It seemed like it was a girl called Kiana who was possessed by something called "Honkai" and gave her "powers of a God".

I don't remember well if I saw the video of how "the girl with powers of a God" was defeated after that, but I remember I started to investigate a little.

Then... a day like today, December 12th, after a failed try as I lost my first account; I was finally registered in this amazing game called Honkai Impact 3rd.

The Tutorial Part was very long and a little boring because it was too long XD However, somehow the game started to catch my attention when I realized it was "about girls who can destroy monsters" XD

As I wrote on December of 2020, my first Valkyrie S Rank in game was Rozaliya (Molotov Cherry). I think I got her in the Dorm Supply because I didn't have any Event Supply XD I was surprised about how powerful was her even if I was starting the game!!

And this is my Rozaliya looks today - When I was playing the game, then I've noticed she has an "Augment Core" which changes some skills of the Valkyrie making them more powerful.

PD: Ugh!! It took me a lot to put her on SS Rank and making the Weapon and Stigmatas (Because I usually have Bad Luck in Gacha Games :'v)

Continuing with the story...

Oh Yes! I was excited to participate in the Honkai Impact X Evangelion crossover in January 21th 2021, but I noticed I was still in a low level to unlock the Event Stages, so... I played hard until reach Level 30.

However, when I reached that Level... I had only like about ONE WEEK to get the rewards of the Event...

(At least I had Asuka, but she's only at Rank A. However, she helped me a lot in the beginning of this adventure because she was powerful in those times XD)

How did I get Herrscher of the Void?

After the Evangelion Crossover Event, other Events appeared because "Happy Chinese New Year" and a new chapter appeared which was related to Fu Hua and Herrscher of Sentience (YATTA!!). If you don't know, the second Valkyrie S Rank I've got in the game was Phoenix, a Fu Hua Battlesuit which I still have hard times to make her Combo Attacks :'v

Well, there was one Event where you could win a Free Bridge and Herrscher of the Void. You could chose one of them to do some missions, but not the two at the same time. I decided to get HoV first and, if I still had time, I got the Free Bridge (Taixuan Steps Bridge).

And this is my Herrscher of the Void looks today - Actually, she's in S1 Rank, but I guess I'll need to wait if it will be other way to get more fragments of her. However, it's one of the most powerful I have.

PD1: Ugh!! It took me a lot to get all these equipment for her! I had her like that some days ago! I haven't got these things by Gacha... I don't remember how I get the Weapon, but I think it was as a reward in a Event or something. One Stigmata were bought in the "Elite Works" shop with some "Orange Balls" (Now, these are "Light Blue Balls"). And two Stigmatas were bought with 6000 "Red things" each one :0 (Those "Red Things" are very very difficult to get. You only can get them about 200 of these things in the Week Finalization of the Adventure Tasks or converting some Rare Stigmatas to get 1000 each converted Rare Stigmata).

PD2: How did I get "Rare Stigmatas"? Gacha! I have bad luck to get the things I want, but I have good things I don't need in the moment XD I don't know how my luck made me got Starchasm Nyx's Weapon and Fallen Rosemary's Weapon before I got the characters! XD (I have Fallen Rosemary actually, but not Starchasm Nyx :'v)

And that's how I started to go deep down in the game... The rest is history...

While I was playing the Story Mode starting by the beginning, in one moment I reached a certain Level to play "for a Trial Time" the most recent Chapter. That chapter was Chapter 23: The Solo Stage. That was a chapter after the Animated Short "Shattered Samsara" as the end of the previous chapter. I didn't know it was about a new Arc about the known "Herrscher of Dominance", a Herrscher composed by 1000 people/puppets who gave up in the hard times.

First, it was centered about Seele and "Seele" who lives with Seele in the same body. It ended with the debut of Starchasm Nyx.

In Chapter 24: The Legion Theather, Kiana (The protagonist) had to go inside the Theater of Domination and a lot of crazy things happened.

The Chapter 25: Set Tomorrow Ablaze was the most emotional chapter for me. I liked how Kiana evolved her character to become into the known Herrscher of Flamescion on this video...

I think I have a lot of things in common with Kiana (Well, except the fact she's bad at studies and she can be a little naughty sometimes XD), but I feel I've passed situations similar to her to find who we are.

Also, I liked how our "Salty Tuna" grew a lot in all this time to become a shining shooting star which will shine through darkness.

When I was a child, most of the videogames I knew didn't have a "playable female character". So, I used to create female characters to make them the protagonist of my stories.

Now, I've found what I've always dreamed about...

May I ask number 12 (Superhero AU) with Super Villian!Idia Shroud and Superhero![S/O] [Gender Neutral] who are both a couple, but the two don’t know their secret identities are enemies when trouble occurs? Obviously Idia may be the type of villain who creates destructive machines and terrorize civilians while [S/O] is the hero who prevents the disasters while saving lives. Their powers/abilities could be based on Marvel or DC heroic type characters (If it’s too much to think which powers to choose from, you can use Iron Man as a reference). I would love this story to have some funny mishaps when both of them somehow learn each other’s alter egos and have the “I can explain!” talk. Then at the end, both of them accept each other’s side jobs with some fluff. Maybe add the awkward revelation. “How are we going to fight each other now after learning each other’s secret life?”

"It's over, Unseen! Stop terrorizing this city and I will let you live!" Kore shouted, trying to be heard above the clamor of the destroyed city of Nether. Unseen, your arch-nemesis was perched across the roof from you, his face hidden by a black hood surrounded by a flaming laurel wreath.

"Is that so, Kore?" he laughed, sending a chill down your spine. The cut on your chin throbbed with pain as you felt it swell with a tender bruise. Just a few minutes ago, Unseen's scythe had grazed you only a few minutes before, not deep enough to cause lasting harm but enough for blood to be trickling down your neck. "You're one of the good guys, you don't kill people."

"I don't understand your senseless destruction. Do you even have a reason for doing all this?" you questioned Unseen, causing him to lift his head in contemplation.

"I'm burning it down to start anew," he jumped down from the ledge and sauntered towards you, putting you on your guard. He laughed at your instant response. "I'm all about progress and sometimes, sacrifices have to be made to make the world a better place. Everyone deserves to live in a better world."

"And what about the people you've hurt, huh? Don't they deserve a better world?" you confronted, Unseen putting his hands up in surrender.

"The lesser of two evils, hero. Like I said, sacrifices."

"Human lives are not for your sacrificing."

"That's a matter of opinion."

"It's literally not but okay." your intense bickering was interrupted by a beeping from your wrist. You rolled your eyes and held up a finger while you checked your watch. You turned off the alarm and swore. You took a deep breath and turned back to Unseen. "As much as I would love to battle you today, I have somewhere to be. Bye bye."

Before he realized what had happened, you had clasped a wire to Unseen's belt and kicked him off the roof. As he plummeted to the ground, he saw your face peek over the roof and disappear.

When he had almost hit the ground, the wire jolted to a stop, dangling Unseen seven feet above the ground. His breath hitched in his throat.

After regaining his composure, he checked his watch and swore. He had a date with his partner in 10 minutes. He hoped and prayed that he would have enough time to get ready and meet them at the restaurant they were planning on.

Unseen phased through the wire and dropped gracefully to the ground, fading into the shadows to teleport back to his apartment.

You rushed into the restaurant, quickly confirming your reservation and praying Idia hadn't been waiting for you too long. You were simultaneously shocked and relieved that the table was still empty. You took your seat and smoothed down your wrinkled shirt.

A few minutes later, Idia nearly ran in, clearing his throat and averting his gaze when he saw you. As he sat down in front of you, you could could see the embarrassed red flush if his cheeks.

"I hope you haven't been waiting long," he sheepishly muttered. You giggled at his shyness although you had been dating for about a year.

"Don't worry, I just got here," you teased, your smile growing as the tips of his hair flared up. "You look amazing."

"You, uh, so do you," Idia stuttered, his leg bouncing I'm anxiety. You decided to let up on the flirting. After all, your boyfriend could only handle so much before he spontaneously combusted. You stared lovingly at him for a moment before the TV behind him caught your eye.

"The self-proclaimed supervillain "Unseen" has once again been terrorizing the city," a news anchor began to read. You felt your jaw clench when you saw the candid picture of him flash onto the screen. "We have always put our trust in the heroes to keep us safe, but just earlier today, hero Kore was injured by the masked menace."

Your hand absentmindedly brushed the scratch on your chin. You pushed your hand back down but not before Idia caught notice of your injury.

"What happened to your face, Y/N?" Idia leaned towards you with increased concern. He reached a hand up to brush your injured cheek. You cleared your throat awkwardly and turned your head away.

"It's nothing, love," you avoided looking at your boyfriend, trying desperately to think of an excuse. "I just fell on the way here."

Idia strained his neck to see the TV behind you, glancing back and forth between you and the blurry shot of Kore with a matching scratch. He slowly connected the dots in his head, recognizing your mannerisms in the way Kore interacted with him as Unseen.

"What the f-"

I probably shouldn’t have, but I decided to summon for Ayaha and Otoha because they look really fun and I already have other dream summon targets to worry about.

So here’s how that went.

I got them after 20 summons, lol.

I still don’t have Gala Agni, but I have Gala Leonidas and all the other good flame dragons already, so I’m just gonna quit while I’m ahead.

This was definitely very risky and stupid since I would have needed to go through most of my unread stories if I needed to actually spark them, but thankfully it all worked out in the end.

I’d accepted that this would mean skipping New Years, but I guess now I can probably still spark then if I really want to. I’d still have to go through a lot of my unread stories, but we’re getting like four events added to the compendium this month, along with the Kaleidoscape mode, and the New Years event itself, so that should help build up my stash. I think right now I have like 140-ish summons since I already got everything from the new event rerun, so the upcoming events should hopefully get me to around 200 summons. We also might get some random Christmas/New Years rewards, and maybe a free summon event, but we’ll see.

The annoying thing is that if it’s anything like last year, we’re probably getting two separate zodiac banners again with the new units spread across them, so i’d probably have to skip one of them anyway. But at the moment we don’t have any info on what to expect from that, so who knows how that’ll go. Going by the teaser epilogue we got from Mitsuhide’s event, which we now know was teasing at Izumo’s design, we’re probably gonna see the big dude as the tiger zodiac, and the person with the eyepatch as the off-schedule zodiac that’ll probably be on a separate banner.

Anyway, I haven’t had the time to mess around with them yet, but from all the videos and stuff I’ve seen showcasing them, I think AO are extremely good, and I’m kinda shocked that they’re permanent, since they have the level of power and utility that you’d expect from a gala unit.

Even though they’re [on paper] a staff unit, it seems like the best way to use them is to build them as a shapeshift spamming DPS unit, but even then, their healing actually seems good enough for most endgame content. H-Lowen might still be more consistent, but one upside to using a shapeshift build on them [especially with Mars] is that you get to also spam their healing skills a lot, which helps make up for them being relatively weak heals.

I’m not sure about all the exact numbers, but their dragon form seems extremely powerful. Maybe not as much as something like Nyx, but the combination of burn/scorchrend res down, stun/scorchrend affliction, a map-wide AoE skill, and a large AoE dragon strike seems extremely useful for most endgame flame content. They also have a dragon damage co-ability, which is really nice in general, and their combo = buff time chain co-ability also seems useful. 

Funnily enough I think Laxi is one of their best partners, since her high hit count can ramp up Leonidas’ dragon battery chain co-ability, and her team 3 strength amp can enable AO to fairly easily reach that on their own, since on top of everything else they do, they also have fast ramping team strength amps.

In general they do basically everything you could possibly want from a flame unit nowadays except for dispel, but you can have other characters cover that, or you can just give them a dispel shared skill or something, so that’s not a huge deal.

H-Lowen and Y-Cassandra will probably still have their niches [especially H-Lowen], but for the most part I think AO is going to be the dominant flame healer because of the sheer amount of buffs and utility she brings in addition to her heals.

Now I’m curious to see if we’ll get the other Agito bosses as adventurers, and how they’ll work, since AO’s entire kit is really heavily themed around the mechanics of their boss fight, which I think is really neat. I at least hope Volk doesn’t just get relegated to being a dragon, since I like his design a lot, and we already have his lance skin. Though on the other hand I also wonder if we’ll get Beast AO as a gala dragon in the future.

Also, I was wondering how they’d handle it if they ever made AO into adventurers, but I like the way that you swap between them in combat. I wish their win animation used both of them, but it’s kinda neat that it changes based on which one you’re using at the end of the fight. They also have a unique animation for when you summon them, which has both of them dropping down at the same time.

So yeah, I really don’t think I deserved to get this lucky considering how bad I’ve been at resisting the urge to summon recently, but here we are, lol. At least now I don’t have to worry about using a dream summon on them later. I think my next one will probably go to either Sandalphon, S-Leonidas, or S-Chelle, but we’ll see.

MPFD Charity Firetruck Wash!

As apart of this year's Sunshine Festival, the MPFD will be hosting a Charity Firetruck Wash! Fire Chief, Poseidon - posted this flyer all over the island, as well as had them handed out at the beginning of the festival! It will only be available for 2 days as the MPFD has work to do so enjoy it while it's here!
