So, it’s been a year since I’ve dived into eruri hell (AND I REGRET NOTHING!). And now that I’m feeling all sentimental and everything, I just want to thank all the incredible authors, meta-writers, artists, translators, commenters, lurkers, etc. who have provided the unbelievably great content or simple support that I’ve had the pleasure to enjoy and draw inspiration from throughout the year!

I personally value every single comment and every singe like even though I’m terrible at replying —because of my own social anxiety issues (there, I’ve publicly vocalized it now. This should be the first step to recovery, right?).

Anyways, THANK YOU once again (and hopefully this post didn’t get deleted)!

Lostcauses Fic: In the Darkness

A short fic inspired by @lordirrelevant's stunning art and headcanon for #nsfweruriweek2021 - First Time "involving Erwin’s couch, complete darkness, full nudity and FROTTAGE".

The commander’s office is almost entirely dark when Levi opens the door and slips into the room uninvited. It’s well after midnight and outside the tall windows the night is black as pitch, not a glimmer of moonlight filtering through the heavy clouds. The fire has burned out in the grate, just a few dull embers smouldering in the ashes, though the room still retains some residual warmth. The office is dimly lit by a single candle guttering low in a pool of wax on the desk.

The flickering flame reflects off the black windows, shedding just enough light to illuminate the figure of the commander, slumped sound asleep with his head resting on his desk.Levi crosses the room on light feet and stops in front the desk. He stands there, glaring down at Erwin, arms folded tightly across his chest, trying to contain the inexplicable fluttering in his chest that starts up whenever he gets too close to the man. Erwin’s head is lying on a pile of papers that are strewn across the desk, it’s too dark to make out the writing, but Levi doesn’t need to read them to know that they are death notices. Their last expedition had been an unmitigated disaster, undertaken too late in the year, at the insistence of the military high command, and against the explicit recommendation of the commander, who argued that they were ill equipped, unprepared and underfunded. Two entire squads had paid the price for the military’s intransigence, wiped out in the blink of an eye by three abnormal Titans. And they’d have lost a third squad too if it hadn’t been for Levi’s quick thinking and quicker blades. It had been a close call though, and Levi has a belt of bruises blossoming around his ribs from where he had to hack himself free from the grip of one of the abnormals that had plucked him clean out of the air. It was a risky move but it had done the trick and the squad had got away unscathed. Erwin was less impressed with his little diversion and had bawled him out once the ragged band of survivors returned to headquarters. Levi had seen Erwin angry before, a cold controlled rage, usually reserved for the nobility, who the Survey Corps depend on for their funding, but who held their lives in such contempt. This was different though; this time the commander was incandescent with fury, yelling about unnecessary risks, wasted lives, and meaningless deaths. Levi had been so stunned by the unexpected force of his anger that he had simply stood there as the commander tore strips off him in front of the bewildered soldiers. That was five days ago and he’s seen little of the man since then, other than to deliver his report, which Erwin had accepted with a stiff “Thank you captain”, without looking up from his desk. The same desk that he is now slumped over, snoring softly.
