Muffin's SasoSaku November 2023 schedule Entry #7: Roleplay
My last Novermber submission!
They roleplay their sexual encounters as when they met each other and were enemies, from time to time. Play consensual non-con is fun, but Sakura can't remain in character for long. She always likes to take the lead after a while, and Sasori loves that~

2023 NOVERMBER POEM-A-DAY CHAPBOOK CHALLENGE: DAY 28 ~ SOME DAYS
SOME DAYS © 2023 G. Smith (BMI) ================== Some days a victory! Some days – defeat… Some days excited; Some days – just beat. Some days a lion, Some days – the meat Some days a victory! Some days – defeat.
Some days you seize, Some days you survive. Each day is different, Part of being alive. Some fly by quickly, Some, a long nine to five. Some days you seize, Some days you survive.
Some are a battle, Some are a dance. Each one is different, You just take your chance. A walk in the park, A long rush-hour drive. Some days you seize, Some days you survive.
Some days a victory! Some days – defeat… Some days excited; Some days – just beat. Some days a lion, Some days – the meat Some days a victory! Some days – defeat.
Some days you fumble, And some days you thrive, Some days you stumble, And bumble and strive, To climb high on the mountain, And not take a dive. Some days you seize, Some days you survive.
Some days you push, Some days you pull. Some days are lonely, Some days are full, Some days are family, Some just husbands and wives. Some days you seize, Some days you survive.
Some days a victory! Some days – defeat… Some days excited; Some days – just beat. Some days a lion, Some days – the meat Some days a victory! Some days – defeat.

December 2023 Year in Review
Tumblr media
Hello hello, everyone!
To herald the coming new year, I thought it appropriate to go over some of our achievements from the last year and see how far we've come in the development of An Immortal Laid to Rest.

So without further ado, let's begin!
Year in Review
Now, when I was writing this, I was taking into account milestones that were completed during my tumblr hiatus last year. This will be more of a year-and-a-half in review, but I still find it important to have these accomplishments written out.

Reflection
Seeing accomplishments laid out like this puts into perspective how much I've managed to do in the last three and a half years. From a short story in a zine to a novella in the making— I guess I'm just proud of making it this far.
But most of all, it tells how I need to be a lot easier on myself. I tend to get caught up in my work and berate myself for not working hard enough. In the moment, I can't see the work that has been done and how it adds up to the final product.
With that thought in mind, it's with a heavy heart to say I won't be doing the Mid Monthly Report anymore. What started as a way for me to see how much art and writing I managed to do in the span of a month has evolved into deadlines of work that hasn't been done; work that's fallen behind. And it's hard to keep up with on top writing and just generally life.
I don't think MMRs will be gone forever. I plan to start utilizing quarterly reports to keep y'all in the loop of what's happening. But for the time being, this will be the last proper Mid Monthly Report for awhile.
It's been a good time, y'all and I'm incredibly thankful to have y'all be on this journey with me.
As always, thank you for readings, and I hope you'll support me in my future endeavors!

Overview:
Who shot recently wed garage owner Richard Chaloner in November, 2016? The theory at the time was that it was a robbery gone wrong. The Crime Review Team in Wiltshire, England, was formed to investigate unsolved cases. The team, headed by Gus Freeman, has successfully resolved more than a dozen cold-case murders. For this case, the Crime Review Team needs to uncover the motive for the killing—and fast. Gus dismisses the original theory that the Chaloner murder was a robbery gone wrong. Something convinces him that it was personal. Was the killer someone Chaloner knew? Gus Freeman has handled every imaginable type of crime in his career with the police force, but nothing was ever like this one. ©2019 Ted Tayler (P)2023 Blackstone Publishing

i don't even know exactly where to start. i'm almost afraid to write how i feel, maybe writing them down would make you disappear. the universe has been that cruel before. everything sings. this feels like the beginning of the rest of my colorful life. like maybe even on the days when my brain is escaping me and writing narratives, you'll be there. and everything will do quiet and warmth will rush to my heart, making my brain all fuzzy in the process. you're so gentle with me, it doesn't make me feel like this violently unloveable rotten dog i've been convinced is myself. you make me feel like a little kitten all wrapping up in your lap, purring to the vibrations of your voice. for the first time in my entire life, i feel like i am being rewarded by the universe. this is only the beginning and for another first- i can say i'm ready to see what the future holds.

Fast Fashion:
Fast fashion is a design, production, and marketing strategy that focuses on creating large quantities of garments in a short period of time. Fast fashion garment manufacture makes use of trend replication and low-quality materials (such as synthetic textiles) to offer low-cost fashions to the end customer. These low-cost, fashionable items have resulted in an industry-wide tendency towards excessive consumption. As a result, the environment, garment workers, animals, and, eventually, customers' wallets suffer.
Tumblr media
Until the mid-twentieth century, the fashion business was based on four seasons: fall, winter, spring, and summer. Designers would prepare for each season and estimate which trends people would desire months in advance. This strategy, while more meticulous than current fashion, stripped the wearers of agency. Fashion was prescribed to high society before it became available to the public, and there were standards to follow. It wasn't until the 1960s, however, that a well-timed marketing effort for paper garments shown that customers were ready for the rapid fashion trend. As a result, the fashion industry has accelerated and reduced expenses. However, it wasn't until a few decades later that fast fashion hit rock bottom. The Sunday Style Times reports that "it particularly came to the fore during the vogue for 'boho chic' in the mid-2000s."
youtube
Fast fashion brands now manufacture 52 "micro-seasons" every year, or one new "collection" per week. According to author Elizabeth Cline, this began in the early aughts when Zara switched to bi-weekly delivery of new products. Since then, it's been standard practise for retailers to keep a massive amount of stock on hand at all times, so companies don't have to worry about running out of items. These firms can generate new, attractive looks monthly, if not daily, by duplicating streetwear and fashion week trends as they occur in real time. The businesses may then stock vast volumes of apparel and ensure that clients never run out of options. While retailers such as H&M, Topshop, and Zara have faced criticism about overproduction, even premium firms assess growth by expanding production. According to Fast Company, "apparel companies make 53 million tonnes of clothes into the world annually," a figure that has undoubtedly climbed since the article's first publication in 2019. "If the industry keeps up its exponential pace of growth, it is expected to reach 160 million tonnes by 2050." Clothing is manufactured in a hurried way, and firms sell extremely low-quality clothing. There isn't enough time for quality control or ensuring that a garment has the proper number of buttons, especially when there is a pressing need to get items to the masses. The fast-fashion production method leaves much to be desired, and products are sometimes discarded after only a few wears. The same hurry that drives down quality also drives down the price of these clothing. Companies such as Topshop and Fashion Nova are concerned with their bottom line and rely on the "ocean of clothing" they produce for profit. Because of the huge volume of products sold, some businesses generate millions of dollars despite offering pieces at low prices. And, without a doubt, garment workers are paid far less than the minimum wage. In the documentary "The True Cost," novelist and journalist Lucy Siegle said it best: "Fast fashion isn't free." Someone, someone is footing the bill."
