Something kind of liberating about knowing I'll probably never be an illustrator, at least not the kind I've been trying to be for the last decade or so. Going back to the graphic design I went to school for, knowing it's a much more realistic career path because someone is always gonna need a logo or packaging or an ad or something makes me feel like I have more freedom to fuck around with my illustrative art now.

Like I don't have to worry about 'brand recognition' or 'style consistency' now because who cares. it's just a hobby. I'm never going to monetize it, unless someone asks me for prints or something. Maybe I'll stop hating my art now and start having fun with it again.

i know, i know, you see a sonic oc, so cringe, i'm writing a 50-70k fanfic for nanowrimo this year about my sonic oc. and no i will not be normal about this. basically a thousand years have passed since the sonic world apocalypse and all thats left is this bunker full of insanely powerful creatures who are all now waking up and trying to escape. each one has the brain of a person long gone because people wanted to find a way to 'live on' through the apocalypse, through these creatures. they're all so strong and fast and deadly. but occams isn't. oh he isn't. and the only way he gets by is because of a giant eldritch spider whom he lied to about knowing the way out of the bunker so they would spare him and protect him

You can make it into a challenge or a request form, skip some prompts or rearrange them. This was mostly for fun rather than a challenge meme (because I didn't want to do a lot of the options on most other challenge lists lol.)

Some terms:

one-shot: one hit KO, headshot, someone who got killed in one shot

AFK: away from keyboard, when a character is not moving because the player is away

pocketing: when one player is only helping one teammate (ie, mercy only healing and boosting one other teammate)

peeling: when a teammate goes back/disengages to help you fight off an enemy/protect you

feeding: when a teammate dies to the enemy team alone, giving them easy ult charge off of their death

carrying: when one teammate is winning the game for everyone else (also infers the rest of the team is useless or playing poorly)

nerf: decreasing the statistics of a character

buff: increasing the statistics of a character

Every now and then I think abt that one conversation with a guy who worked at the place where I took my ged tests where we talked abt tattoos and he suggested a praying mantis tattoo on the shaved side of my head and I just think damn. I wish I had money dhdkydjd
