if its of any help im an editor on here and felt the exact same way you do when i first started out, and ive noticed a similar pattern with all art forms ive undertaken-- its not abnormal to feel this way at all! i think you have a ton of potential if you choose to continue :) id also just like to gently mention that sales are a little tough on the ego because theres less effort in just liking/rbing than there is in purchasing a clothing item, especially with the way inflations been hitting everyone the past few months/years - i personally havent even considered the possibility of buying new clothes this year but that doesnt mean i dont see clothes and wish i could. hopefully this can bring some perspective as to lack of orders in a way that doesnt attack your view of your creations! i really hope you can continue with this but completely understand if you dont want to, just know i'm(/we're) rooting for you no matter what!! :)

I used to be super into sad-ist animations, because it's beautiful art, but it gets genuinely exhausting to deal with the fallout in the comments and across social media platforms, as someone who likes c!Dream. -Minotaur
hey minotaur anon :D so i get this completely LMAO being a c!dream fan and liking any popular animatics / animators usually leads to exhausting takes being rehashed again and again across social media which can be pretty tiring for c!dream fans — especially people who are only c!dream fans ! i find it easier because i’m a huge c!tommy and c!tubbo fan too GDKDBDK, so i can understand how tiring it must be for solo c!dream fans. but because the new animatic looks epic and i want to try and help, here’s some advice !!
how to enjoy c!dream neg stuff as a c!dream apologist
on twitter if you have it: use the mass-block website. it blocks everyone who has liked a tweet you dislike if you use it, and has saved me a lot of stress in the past !! use it as often as you need because it’s your online experience and you should do what it takes to make you comfy :)
on the same lines: on ANY socials, block users reblogging / posting content you don’t like. don’t get involved in discourse if you can help it — just block and move on because it’s the best thing to do. unless anyone brings criticism / neg to my asks / replies / etc, i just ignore it all as best i can ! it can be hard but is much better for my fandom enjoyment.
block tags like c!dream crit, c!dream criticism, c!dream neg, c!dream negative, c!dream negativity, etc. those are some of the best, and you can also block other tags if you need to ^_^
instead, rb / post c!dream positive stuff !! loads of c!dream fans are in the same position when it comes to fan content / takes being negative towards c!dream, so rbing positive c!dream stuff is always helpful for you and others :D
remember that c!dream is getting more and more sympathetic in current lore and soon enjoy people will be animating / creating fan content around that !!!! the current sad-ist animatic seems to be centred around the finale of the disk war, so there probably will be a lot of c!dream neg on socials because he was The Villain TM of that arc and was doing ,, a lot of shitty things honestly, but soon enough people will be (and have been) creating sympathetic c!dream stuff :]

before anyone panics: this is not a “leaving the fandom” post. im way too attached to these little blockmen to leave before the story is over (my little meow meow c!crimeb0ys the world (+ others)). HOWEVER i’m not going to sit here and act like my hyperfixation hasn’t been leaking out of me like a broken pipe for a while
it happens with every fandom i’ve “been in.” i get super invested in a media, it allows my creative energy to be flexed to max output, and then i go through a little burnout before repeating the process over and over again. it’s not the healthiest way to engage with stuff, i think, but i’m trying to be more responsible about it
so no, i’m not leaving the fandom. i’m still going to rb art and posts and watch livestreams; i just won’t be an active creator for it. i can’t really think of stories anymore? that’s the whole “flex to max output” thing i was talking about. my brain has been wrung dry, so i’ve decided to hang up the towel before i hurt something ya know. i’ve been taking a little break from social media and it’s been pretty good :D been grinding out leg3nds arc3us like a mf high on crack
but, as i said, i’m still here for good. i’ve made so many friends (mutuals let’s stay in touch!! i would love to keep talking with yall) and my writing skill has grown exponentially because of this content, so i would be remiss to say “okay all of my works relating to this are getting dropped” and leave it at that. i looked through all my fics and decided which ones i’m going to finish, which have been listed out here for those who follow me for my writing

Some thoughts on kayfabe, bootwt/Ranboo enjoyers, being a h8r, and how I come off
Okay so yeah, we’ve all been on the whole “every face is a mask” thing, etc etc, but like this blog is much more kayfabe and ‘sona’d than like, my main
Like I have an actual like, narrative and persona I project on here (like I straight up have a sona, and she’s literally discourse personified), and I’m not. Sure how I end up feeling about that? It’s interesting
Like I think it definitely comes from in part where this... is. Like I’ve mentioned I got into DSMP despite it being MCYT, etc., and while my opinion on MCYT as a whole has mellowed, I still don’t hold it in very high regard. It isn’t even cringe, it’s like, I have inherent moral reservations about the streamer complex overall, the complicity inherent in it, fundamental things about how it exists, and from that and also from like, some of the stuff I’ve seen both from streamers and especially from community, I do not feel like. Idk fully safe. The whole thing abt I Do Not Know You is like. Actually real; there are people in thsi community who look like Another Fan and would recognize myself as One Of Them and harbor attitudes I don’t want to associate with or genuinely feel unsafe around. It’s rare they’re actually malicious, but idk, the fear is very much there, and ig a lot of the more hostile points in my DNI and my loud disdain are. I’ve described it as poison dart frog coloration; they’re an attempt to curate my experience for me
But also it makes Poe’s Law really difficult to deal with. Like, the image I project is intentionally abrasive and harsh, but I don’t want to. Actually be mean, and I hope that comes through in things like how I partake in rbing art, how I respond to asks, how my more thought out content is formatted and toned, but at the same time that requires, yk, looking past that abrasive image, and I don’t know how harsh it is fair to be so that it keeps myself safe without actually hurting anyone
Like take just the Ranboo enjoyers joke. I have this running gag abt how like, I’m a Ranboo enjoyer against Ranboo enjoyers, and I try to make sure it isn’t. Too serious by being really exaggerated, stuff like “I’m the only one allowed to talk about Ranboo (character)” etc that lampshades how pretentious and elitist that is, calling myself out on it, etc., but I also like. Legitimately do distrust people depending on what their takes on Ranboo (character) are, and I’ve seen some deeply concerning shit out of the community irt how it treats its streamer sometimes, and I have genuinely no clue how to judge that accurately. I’m on the very cynical side, but I’m pretty sure I’m just overjudging how many people here are actually uncritically yikes, and like,,, in my attempts to scare people who I actually don’t want to talk to off, how much has Poe’s Law come to smack me? How much have I unintentionally contributed to like, legit cringe culture, and making fun of Bootwt etc for just enthusiastically liking our streamer? Because I don’t. Want to actually do that?? The ardent devotion his following’s always had is a huge reason for his growth and success as a streamer anyway and is basically a natural consequence of the nature of his appeal, and anyway, there’s nothing wrong inherently with that as long as it doesn’t get out of control
But it does get out of control, a lot, and I’ve seen it happen, and it’s Not Great, and idk where that line goes
There’s also the issue of. Idk Drama. Like I’m an argumentative and opinionated person but I’ve gone by strict rules here: I don’t go trawling for opinions, I don’t participate in dogpiles (I came close once and. Never again), I don’t message people, I don’t argue or reply unless they’re in the maintag, I try to give due credit, I always make sure I have a reason and goal before I reply other than “hmmm angy,” things like that. I am. Far from perfect in that regard but I try yk? And I don’t try to argue pointlessly or For The Sake Of Arguing, even though I certainly Like to argue, just straight up, I like discussion and debate for fun and for truthseeking and for horizon-broadening, but I still. Definitely think I am confrontational and potentially even the act of responding, even if I’m polite, can read as hostile. And then because I compound that and want to make that like, a warning so people who don’t want to see discourse threads don’t have to, I end up making a lot of frustrationposts -- and it’s not, like, fake or staged frustration, but it’s definitely a choice to post it as I do, and idk. Like, again, as much as I want to come off as harsh, I don’t want to actually be mean, and I know I have definitely effectually done so at least sometimes. How much defensive negativity is okay until it straight up contributes to real negativity? How much positivity does it take to put out and highlight to cut that effectively? Can that even be done?
There’s also ofc the issue that Mr Live the streamer himself has said that accts branded around him shouldn’t get into drama, bc he doesn’t want his name attached to that; I’m 80% he was thinking of like, twt #cancellation drama, and I try... not to crit unproductively, but again, I definitely frustrationpost! And I try not to maintag it for that exact reason. Like. Takes I don’t stand by yk. But bc of what he’s said and also that like, I’ve seen my untagged posts get spread, and I’m weirdly rapidly climbing followers, idk, maybe it’s time to start watching my phrasing in those more? I don’t know, man, and I don’t want to just. Be negative unproductively. I don’t plan to be less outspoken abt stuff I legit think is an issue, nor do I plan to be like, more permissive, but just,,, idk

I made a super comprehensive list of all the tags I use here!
(lol I briefly took the hyphens out of my url but then I realized I’d have to edit all my links and I don’t feel like doing that. Also I think it looks better with the hyphens) (I am not currently very active here :/ so this is only accurate for like. A six month period back in 2019 probably. I’m just rbing stuff like once a week now)
Keep in mind that most of these are newer and while I am working my way through my archive to tag them, it’s very tedious. All posts from here on out will be tagged like this though! I’m putting an asterisk* by tags that I’ve only added in the last month or so

Subject Tags (who, what, where, when)
Character Tags - I use full names for everyone but Butler, and I use Artemis Fowl II to differentiate from the general fandom tag. (consequently, you can find all my original posts under Artemis Fowl). Any OCs are tagged with OC
A Fowl Bunch - when there’s like, too many characters for me to have the energy to tag them all. I’ll probably only tag the more rarely mentioned characters alongside this.
Book Tags - for when a post references a specific book, or the events of a specific book. I tag the full title, for example: book 5 is The Lost Colony, The Fowl Twins is Fowl Twins Book 1, and Artemis Fowl is Book 1
AF Movie - additionally tagged as either movie crit (wow that movie sucked) or movie pos (neutral to positive about the movie)
Eoin Colfer - pretty much any post that at least mentions him by name
Ship Tags - [commonly used ship name] or [character x character] or [character x oc] (these tags use first names)
The People - when we’re talking about The People as a whole, whether about their culture, government, magic, or anything else. I also tag The LEP for posts about it as an organization.
Tech Design - thoughts about or art portraying the more techy side of the books’ sci-fi content
Public Relations - Artemis Fowl and his friends are a very weird group, and it’s hard to believe that the general public has not noticed this by now
Orientation Headcanons - For posts explicitly indicating a character’s sexual and/or romantic orientation: I tag with [orientation] [character] and [orientation] headcanons
Trans Headcanons - posts with trans/nb headcanons. Tagged with [trans or nb] [character] and [trans or nb] headcanons
Bullying Artemis - sometimes we’re a little mean to him, and that’s ok, because sometimes he sucks <3
Bby Artemis - pre-canon Artemis
Old Artemis - he’s an ADULT now and he has BAD JOINTS
Spartemis (Space Artemis) - he’s in space now and I wasn’t sure how to tag those posts by book
AU or Canon Divergence AU - I also usually tag the more easily named aus like superhero au or role swap au along with these
Crossover (except alexmis to avoid clutter) - tagged with [title of the thing], and [name(s) of character(s)]
Not AF - I post off-topic like three times a year max, but this is just in case. Sometimes I’ll put Alex Rider posts on this blog so they don’t get lost on my main.

Bitches who procrastinated so hard that they haven't been productive till they realized it's gonna be September...
It's me I'm bitches
So...I've forgotten this blog again. Was gonna upload or at least plan some drawings that I'm actually gonna put some effort into, not just the usual lazy sketches I've always done. But my brain seems to hate me cuz I've experienced a horrendous art block/ motivation block/whatever shit my dysfunctional brain has been going through the past months.
To distract myself from this curse, I decided to watch a series that I've been meaning to start cuz of curiosity, and that is Soul Eater. At first I thought I'll just give it a watch and then move on after finishing it...boy I was wrong.
Ever since finishing it back in June, it becomes my new hyperfixation up to this day like, DAMN, I was frickin obsessed and kept thinking about it everyday, especially Crona (who happens to be my favorite character of all time!). Who would've thought after watching ep21, I became so attached to this wonderful character 💜 and I've been gushing about them ever since (not here though since this is such a desolate place and the only trace of my hyperfixation that shows here is my babey crona pfp and header quote lmao. All my gushing is on my main where I've been rbing se/crona fanarts all the time)
Anyways, I'm still, slowly but not entirely, getting out of art block. I made a few lazy sketches the past months for practice but I couldn't make a decent doodle no matter I try. It sucks though since I wanted to draw crona and se fanarts SO BAD but my brain won't let me *sigh*
Also I realized after posting some stuff back in April, I kinda gain a few followers. Idk why though, pretty sure y'all won't expect anything from this blog cuz it's pretty much 90% inactive but thanks anyway...
I'll be queueing some old sketches here so that this blog won't be so empty before I abandon it again. The SU Movie's 2nd Anniversary / Spinel's "birthday" is also coming in a few days and I only had one stupid sketch to celebrate it lol. I still love Spinel tho, she's just sidelined for a bit cuz my crona brainrot is way too strong at the moment. One thing's true, I LOVE both of them and they're my comfort characters ❤💜

@ people whose messages i haven’t responded to (a genuine message pls read):
i struggle so much to respond to people, esp. when it comes to personal messages. asks + replies + mentions are, for some reason, different, but when it comes to dms i just can’t respond ?? i think it’s an adhd thing — dream mentioned being awful at responding to messages too and i’ve seen that a few times with people w/ adhd — but it also doesn’t help that leaving messages makes me feel so guilty, so even when i do remember to respond, i just feel worse for not having done it sooner.
i want to apologise bc i know i’ve ghosted a few friends and would-be friends and i feel awful about it. i really do. but responding to dms is for some reason so hard for me and i don’t really understand why ?? it’s a problem irl too — my family keep getting mad at me for not opening or reading or responding to their messages and i don’t know why i keep doing this. i swear i’m trying to work on it but i feel so awful every time i don’t reply to a message that it sets me back :’)
i don’t want people to think i’m an asshole for not responding (even though!! i probably am) — i just find it almost impossible most days. like i said, i don’t know why, and it’s something i’m working on, but i just want to say that if you dm me pls (in the nicest genuine way possible) don’t expect a reply. it’s not that i don’t wanna talk bc i almost always do!!!!!! esp if we’re old friends that i’ve stopped replying to!!!! it’s just that messages are so hard and talking via replies/asks/twt posts is for some reason so much easier for me ,,, it’s why i’m v good friends w sunny, salt, and dr3 ,, i speak to them sm via twt replies and it makes everything a lot easier for me :’) so ty to them and to anyone else i speak to via twt (lli, lost + nature also), ty for putting up with my bullshit😅😅
