I’m replaying act 1 (for the fifth time) and when Gale is explaining his condition to you he mentions he’s “never told another living soul” about it, except for Tara. You’re telling me this man shut himself up in his tower for an entire year and didn’t tell anyone why and no one ever bothered to find out? He has so few people who care about him in his life that he fell into a depression and disappeared for a year and NO ONE thought to go and check on him and find out what was wrong? He’s had no one but Tara providing help and support until he meets Tav???????

This whole experience has honestly been surreal. On Monday evening I notice my eye has a curtain. I can’t blink it away. That’s odd. I call my dad about it. I’m driving home then anyway for a random appointment Tuesday morning. I drive home. My dad says he’s looked up my symptoms and they’re serious- he’s called an emergency eye doctor appointment for me. I get home and my parents drive me to the after hours emergency eye doctor. He takes one look, tired, and says it’s really really bad. Suddenly I just hear my parents crying in the room beside me. I don’t even know what’s wrong and the doctor is calling surgeons who can take someone- no one can tonight, earliest we have is tomorrow when we open. I’m being shoved into the first surgery slot of the morning for some eye doctors I’ve never heard of. Apparently both of my eyes are fucked. Totally ducked. I’m lucky we caught it this soon- I could’ve gone blind. I go to sleep and wake up and I’m getting god damn eye surgery. I haven’t even begun to process what retinal detachment is and I’m waking up from the surgery to reattach it. There’s a gas bubble in my eye . My other eyes retina is fucked too but they can’t safely do that surgery right after this one. We’re waiting for this one to heal to do that one. I can’t see out of the eye they did- Will I ever be able to? They don’t know. It’s better than doing nothing. Will I be able o see after this next surgery at all??? No one’s answering that question. Will I be able to see again at all after these?? No one will say. I am laid down for 7 days. You’re young we hope you’ll recover more th usual. Usual isn’t good.

I dunno. I’ve just barely begun to process it and I’m nearly into surgery 2. What’s a 20 soMethingS eyes doing to get this bad I am asked ,? I don’t even know what causes this. I’m so lost. I wish. Had been given a pamphlet., I was doing exams Monday and Tuesday I was getting an IV Man I dunno what’s going on anymore
