What if Spiders mask broke?
Tiny mention of neglect.

It had been two months since the fight, Neteyams death, and Spider saving Quaritch.
Kiri knew, Spider didn’t know how but one day Kiri had just shown up and told Spider she wasn’t upset. That Eywa needed Spider to save Quaritch.
He didn’t think anyone else knew.
The Sully’s were healing, and had begun treating Spider better.
Spider swears he nearly fainted when Neytiri, who never cared for him, shoved a beaded necklace at him.
Ronal seemed to take that as a challenge.
Spider had been all but officially adopted into the Metkayinan family.
Supprisinly, it had been Ronal who went to him first. She had seen this small injured human boy behind the Sully’s, and decided he would be hers.
It took Ao’nung a day to decide his mother was right.
When they had learned about the treatment Spider had been given but the Sully, and most other, adults, there was a few fights.
Ronal was outraged at this poor boys treatment, and Tonowari was angry for Spiders childhood. The siblings were mad that their little big brother was treated so badly.
When he showed up wearing Neytiri’s necklace, Ronal and Tsireya spent most of the night making him a top, he was wearing one of Tsireya’s right now, from her childhood, it helped when he was in the sun all day, and when he was playing with the others.
Close to sun rise, Ao’nung had walked to his mother and sister, handing them a bead for Spiders top.
He had made this bead when he was a child, and refused to allow anyone to even braid it into his song cord. The meaning did not escape the women.
Nor did it escape Spider, when he saw the bead he’d heard tales about in his new top.
He wore it with pride, happy, and bragged to anyone, wether they wanted to here or not.
Like that, the war between the mothers was on.

Spider had been playing with his siblings, both sets, when it happened.
He grabbed Ao’nungs tail, in return Kiri shoved Spider, Lo’ak nudged Kiri, Tsireya shoved Lo’ak, Ao’nung went for Kiri, and Spider tickled Tuk.
At least, that had been the plan.
Instead of tickling Tuk, he fell. Onto the sand. Mask first.
*Crack*
Everything stopped.
It would have been comical if Spider wasn’t so frightened.
He could see so much clearer.
His mask was broke
All hell broke lose in a split second.
Kiri screamed.
Tuk cried.
Lo’ak shouted.
Ao’nung shoved his hands onto Spiders face.
Tsireya prayed to Eywa.
Jake and Neytiri were frozen.
Ronal was seconds away from fighting, probably Neytiri.
Tonowari was crying, holding Tuk.
Spider was-
Spider wasn’t reacting.
He was more focused on the fact he was breathing.
Actually breathing.
He mask was shattered, and Ao’nung had cuts on his hands from pressing them into Spiders broken mask and face, and Spider was breathing.
Kiri was the first to react. It took seconds for her to realise her person was breathing okay.
In Pandoran air.
Ao’nung was next. He could feel Spiders breathe against his bloody hands. Measured, even breaths.
His brother was breathing.
Ronal was next.
She knew Spider was special, could feel it. And now Eywa had proved it. Eywa had given her baby a blessing to help him survive.
Tuk, Lo’ak, and Jake realised next.
Spider was going to be okay.
Tonowari and Neytiri realised at the same time.
Tonowari felt a huge wave of relief, his new son, his fragile baby, was okay, was a bit less in danger.
Neytiri…
Neytiri was scared. There was this child she’d been treating as little more than a pet, and here was actual real proof that he was Eywa blessed.
This happened in the span of a second.
Pure silence encased a third.
The fourth second was chaos.
Ronal and Tonowari rushed forwards to him, grabbing him and spinning, thanking Eywa.
Kiri whooped with pure elation, her person would be okay and now everyone one knew he belonged.
Neytiri couldn’t think. Spider was blessed by Eywa and Neytiri had actively tried too keep him away, to make him leave.
Jake didn’t know what to think. He knew he hadn’t treated Spider the best, but he had tried right? Jake caught Neytiri, she had collapsed into him.
Jake held Neytiri, and turned to walk away. Spider was not their family, they had both seen to that. This was not their moment.
Lo’ak wasn’t really moving, he was just smiling. So so happy his brother was going to be okay.
Ao’nung laughed. He joined his parents in celebrating his brother, and dragged Lo’ak and Kiri in to. His baby older brother was okay! He didn’t even flinch when Kiri spread some paste over his cut hands.
Tsireya picked Tuk up, smiling and giggling, and joined her family to celebrate. She didn’t have to worry so much any more, her little brother had now well and truely proved to all Na’vi and everyone that he was Pandorian, he belonged.
All the eight of them could think in that moment was: No one could take him away now.

Spider spent the rest of the day with his siblings.
They played for hours, everything seemed easier now that they weren’t worried about Spiders mask breaking.
Of course, now Spider had to learn to breath underwater, no longer able to rely on his exo-mask.
Ronal was insistent on there being a large cerimony for the Metkayina people, to celebrate Eywa’s clear acceptance of her son.
Spider thought it was just to rub it in Neytiri’s face.
He spent the night with his family. Tucked snugly in between Ronal and Tonowari, with Ao’nung cuddled behind him, and Tsireya at his front.
Ronal and Ao’nung had spent the better part of the evening touching, petting, and kissing all over his face, whilst Tsireya had worked on his stripes and hair, they’d been working on it for a while now, but he’d been so severely neglected she was only just getting through it. Tonowari made sure Spider was warm enough, and comfortable.

It wasn’t his born family, or his grow-up family.
But this was Spiders family.
And that was enough.
Being able to breathe the same air was a blessing, one he would thank Eywa for everyday.
He slept that night dreaming of a dwarfed Tulkun, swimming along side him.

Bonds
What happens when the Tulkun return?
No warnings.
Spider swam softly in the shallows, his family, new and old, greeting their Tulkun happily.
At first Ao’nung had dragged Spider to meet Uio’zek, his spirit sister, Spider thought she was beautiful.
Unfortunately, since his mask had broken, Spider had to learn to breath again, so after spending time with his brother, he returned to the shallows to allow them alone time, and catch his breath.
He didn’t see Uio’zek’s knowing look, or Ao’nungs frantical signing.
Hearing the waves move, Spider surfaced and looked around, five feet away, in the deeper water, a young Tulkun chiriped, lifting their fin to make the same waves.
Smiling, Spider swam closer, until he was right beside the bull.
Only, not a bull, an adult, but dwarfed, different, like him.
Signing, Spider asked if they had a name.
The chittered response carried the word Ma’liao, and Spider giggled.
*Hi, Ma’liao, I’m Spider te Txampay Tonowari'itan*
Ma’liao chuffed in response, proceeding to splash Spider.
Laughing, Spider retured the play.
He felt light and joyful.
Yeah, he knew that Ma’liao was only playing with him because he didn’t have a spirit sibling yet but he loved it nonetheless.
They played well into the night.
When Spider heard the others call him, he bid good bye to Ma’liao and promised to come back tomorrow.

Later that night, Spider lay awake beside his sister, fiddling with his songcord.
Ronal, Tonowari, Ao’nung, and Tsireya had asked him about it once, and spider had shamefully show them a ratty thread with only four beeds on.
His family had rallied around him and when he, Ao’nung, and Rotxo went hunting, Ronal sat with Neytiri, to make Spider a songcord he could show off happily.
Their were a few moments Jake and Tonowari had needed to step between them, but otherwise it was the nicest the two women had even been to one another.
The metekyina family still didn’t trust the elders of the omaticaya family around Spider alone, and it seemed the Sully kids agreed.
With a full stomach and the warmth of family surrounding him, Spider closed his eyes and slept.

Tsireya, having feinged sleep, smilled and snuggled closer to her brother. She’d been the only one to have seen him playing with the young Tulkun earlier, but she’d make sure they all saw tomorrow.
Her sweet smile turned smug as the thought of once again showing Neytiri and Jake up crossed her mind, before she too, settled to sleep.

Spider had enjoyed a full breakfast with his family, and a lazy morning with Tsireya and Ar’ina, her friend, who most definitely liked Kiri, but he wasn’t supposed to know that.
Now, it was once again time to see the Tulkun, however instead of going with his brother first, Spider went straight to Ma’liao.
They played the same way they had the day before, but this time people noticed.
Tsireya had swam with Ao’nung and pointed to Spider.
The siblings had watched Spider play with the young bull for a while before their parents noticed.
Ronal was not missing an opportunity to show her miracle, child off to Neytiri -and the people-, and immediately told the Sully’s.
Spider and Ma’liao didn’t notice the extra attention, nor did they notice as tiny glowing fish flocked to them and surrounded them.
The others did notice.
Spider didn’t hear Kiri’s whoop, Lo’aks shout, Neytiri’s gasp, Tsireya’s yip, or Tuks cry.
He didn’t see Tonowari stumble, Jake falter, Ronal’s elation.
But he felt Ao’nungs happiness.
Ever scine meeting the Metkayina family, Spider and Ao’nung had been closely bonded, only Eywa knew why.
Spider never got the chance to turn, Kiri and Tsireya tackled him first, Lo’ak and Tuk not far behind, Tonowari pulled Ronal away from her goading of Neytiri, who stayed put with Jake, and Ao’nung swam to face Spider before joining the hug.
It wasn’t until later that night, when Ronal was fretting over his hair -it looked a lot better, their were only a few strands to do still- and Tonowari congratulated him, that Spider realised he’d unofficially bonded with a Tulkun.

Not just any Tulkun, he realised later, but a Tulkun identical to the one he’d dreamt on that night.
A soft smile covered his features as he joined his family in sleep.
Yes, he definitely needed to set Kiri and Ar’ina up, maybe he should enlisted Tsireya’s help?

!Avatar: WOTW Major Spoilers!

Neytiri lost her home, her sister, her father, and many many more, things of high importance to not only Neytiri, but all Na’vi, and she lost all of this because of the humans.
She also almost lost Jake to them. Quaritch in particular.
She learned from early on that the humans only caused the Na’vi pain.
Enter Spider: a human child, not just any human child, Quaritchs child.
Neytiri is scared. Quaritch, the man who is responsible for near enough all her loss, has a Son. A son who can’t go back to earth, because he’s too young.
This son is then raised in close quarters with her children, and she’s scared. What if Spider starts acting like Quaritch, what is he hurts her kids?
So she pushes him away, tells Jake he shouldn’t be there, he should be with his own kind.
Neytiri doesn’t see child, or Eywa’s gift, or even friend, when she looks at Spider, all she sees is human.
She’s finally beginning to warm up to him when he’s 14,
Then the humans return, and once again destroy her home.
Her fears are coming true.
All progress is lost.
Then a year later, the recons are there, and they take her children.
She doesn’t see Spider. She can’t. Her children are in danger and that’s all she can think. Spider doesn’t exist to her right now.
Kiri’s distraught as Spider falls, but Neytiri can’t stop for what is basically a pet to her, so she grabs Kiri and runs.
She has to leave her home, the home she really only just got back again, because of the humans and their machines.
She loses almost everything, again.
Spider is not longer a pet, now, he’s an enemy.
Then she hears of the Recons looking for them, and Spider being there? He must be helping them if he’s still alive.
Then Ronal loses her Tulkun to the humans, just as Neytiri lost Seze. Neytiri can relate with Ronal, can feel her pain, and her heart breaks all over again.
Then Neytiris kids are captured, again.
After being hunted like tulkuns.
Her new tribe is being hurt and killed, by the humans, she’s losing her family again.
Then the fight, Neteyam and Lo’ak going back for Spider, leading to Neteyam getting fatally shot, and her girls being captured again.
Neytiri doesn’t see Spider when she has him under her knife, she is traumatised, hurt, sad, and unstable. She just lost the child that made her a mother.
She doesn’t see it’s Spider, doesn’t here Kiri begging for her soul-brothers life, she only sees the enemy.
She cuts, and that what brings her back, surprisingly, that and Quaritchs dismissal of the boy.
Neytiri hears her daughter begging for Spider, hears Spider pleading for Kiri, and right there decides Spider will stay with her, ‘A Son, for a Son.’
She was never going to kill Spider. He was a child.
But Quaritch believes, and that’s all she needed.
He let Kiri go, and Neytiri shoved Spider behind her.
She follows as Spider tries to lead them to safety, listens as he guides them.
At the end, she accepts him.
He is now the eldest.
He is no longer just a human, no more a pet. Now?
Spider is family.
A son, for a son.

Quaritch came back, implanted with memories and a personality he wasn’t even sure were his anymore.
When he was human, he’d been through a lot of shit, and had closed himself off, unwilling to prosses his feeling, had displayed an outward persona of anger and uncaring.
Now? Now he had all these memories that didn’t even feel like he’d live through them, more so like he was watching them, a personality that felt more of a dream.
He’d noticed small changes in his fellow recoms too.
He remembered a child, Miles, his mind supplied.
That wasn’t his son, he wasn’t a dad, but thinking of the small baby he helped created, the little blade he made, the first time holding him, the pure elation that came from knowing he made that, he prayed.
He wasn’t religious, never had been, but his mother was catholic, and he’d been brought up with her beliefs. And for the first time, he begged for God his mother had spoken of so fondly, to be real.
And he prayed that that small child was safe, loved and happy. That he hadn’t had to experience anything Quaritch had.
He watched his video log, then read over the mission files, before hosting his debriefing.
He wasn’t the same as the human he was, he didn’t care that Jake Sully had ignored orders for the woman he love, he’d done the same, back on Pandora.
What he did care about, was that Jake Sully had killed his own, good men and women, that Jake Sully was near single handedly responsable for the missions failure.
That Jake Sully and his Misses were the reasons Miles had needed to grow up without his father.
So on the final descent, he bagan putting together his persona again. And that’s all the humans saw, good ol’ Miles Quaritch, the merciless solider.
Seeing his old body was strange. But also angering. This humans stupidity had cost a baby a dad. He crushed the pathetic bone in his hands, scars engraved deep down still taunting him.
Threatening the sully kids was hard. They were kids. Sure they’d been raised in a warzone but they were children. That mattered.
Still, war was war.
Realising Miles, no, Spider, had grown up on Pandora, raised by the very people who killed him, made him sick.
But recognising minute signs of neglect to his not-sons appearance? That?
That stung.
Seeing the same arrow kill his friend that was stuck in his human skeleton scared him.
Before he was only threatening her mate, now he has her children under his knife.
He managed to get Spider. The fact no one tried to stop him raised alarms in his head.
Watching the RDA torture Spider made his blood boil. He had to get him out. So he did. It started as a hostage situation, but Quaritch didn’t want that, and quickly changed Spiders rank when they were out of the RDA’s interference area.
Hearing that Jake Sully had gotten an Ikran the Na’vi way pushed Quaritch to do the same.
He was not going to be seen as weaker than that trator.
After his team caught their Ikran, they flew, Spider held close to Quaritchs chest, and for all his muscle, Quaritch couldn’t help but notice how thin the child was.
Practicing Na’vi was fun. Spider let his guard down ever so slightly, and wasn’t afraid to tell Quaritch when he was wrong, he liked the guts the kid had.
The scientists flying to Jake Sully’s hiding spot were a lucky break.
Loosing all progress with Spider by following his training wasn’t.
He wouldn’t kill the water Na’vi, but he had to burn the hooches, and kill the animals.
No matter how much it hurt Spider they had to know who they were defying.
Killing the Tulkun was annoying to say the least, time consuming, boring really, and just gross.
But it worked. Jake Sully came out of hiding.
Well, his kids did.
He managed to capture them again, and the new one.
He really should have anticipated Spider running down, but that didn’t matter now. Not anymore.
Jake Sully came, with hundreds behind him. Quaritch wasn’t stupid, he knew they would never survive an attack of that magnitude.
So he called Sully out. That was who he wanted, who his mission was about, who neglected his son.
No one else had to die today.
He was shocked when the Tulkun attacked.
That seemed to be the signal for the Na’vi to attack.
Quaritch went to the sky with the other Recoms, as the kids were cut away. He didn’t know Spider was the reason the ship was out of commission, or that he’d happily gone back with the Sully’s.
Quaritch, for a second time, watched his team die around him due to the same man.
He lost his son again.
He watched death and distruction take center stage, he watched Neteyam die, and the guilt he felt was unexpected but that was just a child.
He wanted this done with, now.
So he took the sully girls.
And how did she look so much like Grace?
And gave Jake the same offer, taunting him.
Jake came, but so did Spider, and Neytiri.
The explosion was unexpected, but served it’s purpose.
Watching the rest of his team die at the hands of Neytiri and Jake was petrifing, Neytiri was the only one he was truely frightened of anymore.
Then he had Kiri under his knife, small cut on her neck dripping blood, and suddenly Neytiri had Spider.
Spider who was begging for Quaritch not to hurt Kiri,
Who was begging Neytiri not to kill Spider.
He wasn’t planning on killing Kiri, she was a child, he wanted Jake dead, not his spawn. But he truly believed Neytiri was serious.
But why would he care? Spider wasn’t his kid. They weren’t even the same species.
Then she cut, and he was scared. So what if that wasn’t really his kid? He was still a dad.
Neytiri raised her blade and Quaritch panicked. He let Kiri go and watched Neytiri shove Spider behind her, almost as though she was protecting him?
But that wouldn’t make sence.
He still wanted Jake dead. Now more than ever, so he did what he knew best, taunting him.
The fight happened, and sure Quaritch had the upper hand a lot, but he soon realised, he would never overcome the strength that Jake had, pulling from grief, guilt, and anger.
Quaritch was outmatched.
Quaritch was scared.
Quaritch lost consciousness.
He came to as Miles- Spider pulled him from the water, dragging him up the rocks.
Why?
What?
Then Cupcake came, and Quaritch thought he could have his son, he could be a dad.
But Spider hissed at him and left.
Quaritch was alone again,
His son abandoned him just as Quaritch did 15 years ago.
Did his mask still have a tracker?

I just wanna see Quaritch have a redemption arc and drag the Sully’s + Scentises for Spiders treatment while simultaneously bonding with his son T^T
Honestly there are so many things in Quaritch’s character it’s amazing.

HI! I saw your character posts and NEEDED to know your thoughts on quaritch?

Before even coming to Pandora, Quaritch had seen awful things, had lived through them, had participated in them, had ocestrated them.
You didn’t do crap like that and come out the same man.
Quaritch had long since took all of his feelings and hidden them behind a stone wall.
Emotions made you weak.
Then he came to Pandora, a seasoned soldier, yet on his first mission, he was severely injured.
It was humbling, to say the least.
Then he met Paz. She didn’t see the ruthless persona he had, she just saw a war-hardened veteran.
The attack on the school made him sick.
He and Grace were more liable to argue than agree, but that attack?
Both of them stormed into Selfridges office, demanding retribution.
Selfridge gave them the responsibility of it, and Quaritch learned that some of the fauna on Pandora could hurt you, as Grace held nothing back, and Quaritch fully supported her, even helped when he could.
Children should never be hurt, and especially not shot, nowhere, no matter what they did those soldiers should never have stormed the school.
Quaritch was onboard with every bit of torture Grace inflicted upon them, and even provided his own additions.
A few month afterwards, Paz fell pregnant.
Six months later, Quaritch made a knife for Miles.
There months after, Quaritch had a bundle of tiny-moving-human in his hands.
He fell in love for a second time.
Two months later, Jake Sully arrived.
A marine dog in science geek clothes.
It was perfect.
Quaritch used Jake to learn the hostiles better, to better hurt move them.
Until Jake stopped.
At first it was just- less information.
Quaritch wanted to pull him out then, was a man of his word, had a full medical team ready on earth to fix Jakes spine.
But Jake refused.
Then he became an active opposer.
Destroying the camara is what made Quaritch realise Jake was now a lost cause.
Selfridge gave the tree huggers or more chance, but Quaritch was done waiting. He rolled the ships.
The tree fell, and that should have been the end of it, until Jake escaped.
Jake Sully rallied the Na’vi, taught them how to fight back, called more and more to join his side.
Quaritchs fighters outnumbered them still, but the Na’vi won anyway.
Not that he really knew that, he was fighting Jake.
Quaritch fully believed he would win the last fight, but it wasn’t only his arrogance and , but also because he wasn’t leaving Miles to be raised without a dad.
He fully expected to win that fight.
Then Neytiri showed up.
He didn’t give up until the second arrow hit.
Then he could do nothing but hope Miles and Paz had a good life.
He didn’t know Paz was in the fight, or that she’d been killed. He didn’t know Miles couldn’t go back to earth.
He didn’t know Miles would be raised by people who didn’t want him.

Neteyam is 15, Kiri is 14, And Lo’ak is 14.
Grace’s avatar gave birth to Kiri, when Neytiri was pregnant with Lo’ak, after already giving birth to Neteyam.
That means Neytiri went through one-and-a-bit pregnancies before Kiri’s birth.
Along side that, Kiri being born of Grace’s avatar, means Grace would have had to be pregnant before the battle, and Kiri will have been the oldest, not Neteyam.
There is no explanation for Kiri’s birth being natural.
We see that Kiri has a close bond with Eywa, and the world around her. More than we see any other Na’vi. In the first scene we see this, (where the sneak out to see the plane) the grass Kiri is laying in is moving with her breath, and the atokirina’ are covering her like a blanket.
The second scene could arguably be when it only starts raining as Kiri becomes distressed, however that is a large stretch.
A more reasonable second scene is when Kiri is controlling the fish, when Ronal is helping them to pluck clamshells, and we see Ronal become intrigued and impressed with Kiri’s control.
A third scene is the scene where Jake is comforting her, not only do we see how the small fish completely ignore Jake, avoiding him in fact, whereas they flock to Kiri happily, and Kiri tells Jake of her close bond to Eywa, telling him she can feel her, hear her heartbeat, like she was ‘a word waiting to be spoken’.
A fourth scene is the seizure scene. I believe Kiri’s seizure was due to, yes a result of plugging into the spirit tree, but not epilepsy, more so, Kiri was emotionally distressed/unbalanced at the time, she was missing Spider and desperate for answers, Eywa felt this, and attempted to help. However all the input to her brain when she was already distressed was too much and she seized.
A fifth scene is when she controls the plants to save her, Ao’nung and Rotxo from the sky people subs, and we can see the boys genuine surprise and awe at this.
A sixth scene would be when she once again controls the smaller fish, and used them to light the way around the ship, and guide her to her mother and sister, before once again helping her to guide them out.
Kiri has Graces’ features, she heavily resembles her mother, even down to her voice. There is no real representation of another in Kiri, so I believe Kiri doesn’t have a father.
Her parents are Grace and Eywa.
Eywa protects the balance of life.
Grace stayed with Eywa, and in return, Eywa gave the Sully’s Kiri, but only when she felt they were ready for her.
Kiri is Grace’s Child, but she is also Eywa’s, more so than any other Na’vi or pandorian inhabitant.

!Avatar: WOTW Major Spoilers!

When we first see him, Jake is clueless, but fearlessly loyal. At first his loyalty was towards the RDA and the Marine life he grew up with, but this loyalty changed, first to Grace, and the new world she’s showing him, the trust she give him, Grace became more than his friend, she became almost a parent to Jake, showing him all that he didn’t understand and explaining it. Norm became a brother, teasing and jealous and caring. Trudy was his sister, she had a smilier rearing, a soldier like Jake, she understood.
Then, not even four months after losing his twin, Jake lost his almost-mother, and his sister, to the same people, the RDA, those he once fiercely trusted.
He goes to war with them, and although he wins, he loses too.
The trust he and the people shared was shattered with the actions of the RDA, and that took time to build back up.
He doesn’t get chance to settle into his role of Olo’eyktan, before he also has the role of father.
Neteyam scares him and fills him with joy simultaneously, he’s so small and pure, and so easy to hurt.
Jake pushes perfection and hope onto Neteyam, unaware of the pressure he puts on him.
Scared worried lost
Petrified.
Then suddenly they have Kiri, who just looks so so much like Grace, Jake dotes on her.
He gives her the world, let’s her chose her path, she’s precious in many ways.
He’s still scared and worried but his girl is special.
He can feel it.
Then Lo’ak comes, and with him comes fights and fearlessness and danger and Spider.
Spider’s only three and a bit, but everything Lo’ak does Spider has to do.
Swingging in trees? Climbing mountains? All of it.
Danger Danger Danger.
Lo’ak is far too much like Tommy, and Spider like Jake.
But Spider is His son, can they trust him?
Fear neglect hate.
Tuk brings hope and love, he dotes on her like he does Kiri.
He fixes his family and his people, he settles, they all do.
Then the sky people come again.
They bring danger and death.
Jake fights back. The people follow.
Now He’s back.
Jake can’t handle that.
They have to leave, now.
Jake will not put his family in danger.
Spider is human. And His. They won’t harm him.
…
Right?
Too late.
Their in Awa’atlu, and Neytiri is too hurt to try adapt but Jake has too. At least his girls like it, even if his sons are causing trouble.
Jake rushes to be accepted, going straight for a skimwing, he has to prove his worth.
Then Kiri seizies, and he has to call Norm and Max, and the RDA are here.
They hunt the Tulkun.
Neytiri feels Ronals pain.
Then He has their kids again.

Jakes ready to sacrifice himself, he’d do anything for those kids, but by Eywa, why could they not listen just once!
Until a Tulkun attacks and then everyone is attacking.
He loses sight of his kids.
He’s too busy keeping Quaritch occupied so they can get away.
He doesn’t know Spider never gave them up, or that he was tortured.
Then the carrier crashes and there’s fire and smoke everywhere.
Where are his kids?
Neteyams shot, through and through, why?
Neteyam dies in his arms.
Spiders there.
But his girls aren’t, they’re on the sinking mess.
He lashes out, he can’t keep his anger back, Lo’ak gets the brunt of it.
He and Neytiri take down all but one avatar, and all the humans.
Then Quaritch is right there, taunting him, Jake can’t block him out anymore.
He turns back to fight.
Afterwards he no longer has the strength to pull himself up, or breath.
He sees Neteyam, but that can’t be right?
As his head breaches water and he breathes, he understands it’s not Neteyam talking him through getting out, it’s Lo’ak.
They find the girls, and Jakes… he’s not happy, but he’s not scared either.
They lay Neteyam to rest, and Jake prepares himself to have to leave once more, he never expected Ronal and Tonowari to allow him to stay.
He finally has a home.
Love happy peace warmth
Safety.

Jake.. Jake has no excuse for his actions. Not towards Spider, not towards Neteyam, and not towards Lo’ak.
I do not like Jake very much in this movie.

Hiii sorry for not being so active recently, these few months have been hectic T^T’
I had a hospital visit in February and am now waiting for a surgery on my ear, and found out in march I may needy right ear doing aswell.
My hamster sadly passed away.
I finally found out why I get dizzy and collapse. It’s a mix of anxiety and just general fainting BUT! No more blood testss.
I learned a few other things as well. Honestly have a doctors who listens and helps is life changing man.
I had an interview! But no job T_T
I registered on a hrt list again, hopefully I’ll hear something soon!
I’m waiting to go to the doctors for my ancles and wrists again -_-
I finally got used to having no tonsils, only took a year＾∇＾
I had another interview and this time I got the jobbbb ＾ν＾
I actually got into therapy yeyyyy
Im growing strawberries!
And I launched my own business!!!!
So yeah so far this year has been great!
All this is to say I’m really sorry I’ve been so inactive and I aim to be more active from now on!

thoughts on accusations of racism and disablism in the avatar universe?

Racism
Just a thing: I’m a white person, and therefore have not experienced racism, but have also never seen it, (witch I think is a good thing?) all I know is what I have read/hear about, so this may be incorrect with regards to racism, I would appreciate any and all comments on that so it can be as actual as possible.
I don’t think there are a lot of scenes with racism in avatar, I think the most racism we see comes from the human towards the Na’vi, such as Quaritch calling them ‘blue aliens’ and selfridges references. Armador claims the natives, the Na’vi are hostile, when in fact it’s the humans.
I think we also see hints of racism when the Metkayina react to the sully family badly, due to them having ‘demon blood’ is that only due to the fact they are part avatar, or would they react like that to any forest Na’vi? From Ronald initial interaction it does seem that it’s due to Jake having formally bean human.
Now if we’re talking about the general complete overview, there are racist overtones, especially in the way both times it has be a white character who is seemingly instrumental in saving the Na’vi, who resemble indigenous tribes.
Disablism
I’m going to split this into two parts.
Physical (I have slight experience with physical disabilities)
I think as far as physical disability goes, avatar is pretty good. They don’t discredit anyone is they are, and they even had a few disabiled characters. The first film is centred around a disabled marine. Also those machines? Those most likely work by reacting and responding to the neurological transmits in the brain (I don’t know science okay?T^T) witch means they could more than likely have been originally made with physical disability’s in mind.
I think that the most physical disablism we see is at the beginning of the first film, and the soldiers reactions to Jakes wheelchair, calling he ‘meals on wheels’ and insinuating he won’t last long due to his disability z
I’m not too sure if there’s any other dísablism of physical disability in avatar, however if I’m wrong please feel free to let me know!
Mental (I have major experience with mental disabilities and am nurodivergant myself)
I don’t think we see any mental disablism in avatar. The only time I could possibly see this is when Kiri is called weird by nameless-dude and Ao’nung, for daydreaming. (Kiri is very neurodivergent coded)
In fact I think avatar would be very progressive towards mental disabilities.
After all, the humans on Pandora are a military run operation, and so all the humans must have experience with some mental disorders, PTSD especially. They most likely have therapists too.
We’re also given the information that the Na’vi are a widely accepting race, so I believe that if a Na’vi was struggling, most (if not all) Na’vi in the community would come together to provide the best help they could, no matter what the problem would be.
