Always ask yourself if you have any takeaways from a conversation. That is the best way to gauge if it has reached you or you were only nodding along just for the sake of it. A healthy country listens to its populace. A healthy company listens to its employees. A healthy parent listens to her/his child. Listening is a skill. There are a few ways to get better at that. ✅ Make eye contact, It helps keep your concentration. ✅ Listen with an open mind expecting to learn something about that person or the topic being discussed. ✅ Try to ask follow up questions rather than counter-questions. Active listening can make a person extremely resourceful. Because then you pay attention to topics others bypass. Comment ‘I agree’ if you strive to be an active listener too. ✨ Book a free call with me if you want to learn tips and tricks to navigate your corporate communications with ease. 👇🏼 Link in bio. #networkingskills #networking #networkingevents #careerchange #jobsearching #jobinterviewtips #jobsearch #jobinterview #newjob #interviewtips #interviewready #interviewtip #interviewcoach #jobsearchtips #jobinterviews #parentsofnewgrads #newgrads #youngprofessionals #interviewcoaching #needajob #jobinterviewhelp #interviewhelp #jobchange #businessnetworking #newgraduates #firstjob #remotework #entrepreneur #networkingtips #jobtransition (at Manikonda) https://www.instagram.com/p/ClWCXswy_wi/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Abbott Elementary School, Pilot
Janine: Well, I think the younger teachers are capable. Barbara: Really? Then why is it that Ms. Schwartz's hair is falling out? Why does Jacob here need a smoking break every five minutes? Jacob: I switched to an herbal vape. Barbara: And why can't any of you stick it out longer than two years? More turnovers than a bakery. [ Door opens ] Jacob: Ouch.
I've rewatched the pilot a few times and this scene always gets me.
I feel like this is the attitude in nursing as well. The more experienced nurses put down newgrads because they're struggling in a new challenging environment. Struck a nerve.

job hunting in this stupid country sucks so much more than people want to admit. really got told "idk how you didn't find a job yet with your cv" straight to my face as i was being rejected
i also was told "as a girl in compsci it's so weird that you didn't get a job yet? enterprises should be killing to hire you because you're a girl" and i've never wanted to commit a crime anywhere near as much </3

Congrats on making a realistic hospital scene, your art is incredible anyway but the details you added are often forgotten! Nothing was out of place except my heartstrings ;;
-a newgrad nurse
I’m glad! I have been in the hospital enough to know where things go😅 the room and bed was actually a reference from a picture mum took of me not too long ago haha.
Also thank you so much for your sacrifices you have and will be making as a nurse. I know I really appreciated my nurses when I am in the hospital. I have so much respect for you guys💖💖💖

Networking is a lengthy process but it is a solid investment. The best time for it is now when you don’t need it. Create new contacts, assimilate those contacts after the event, reach out to them personally to forge the sense of camaraderie. 🤝 A few things to remember while networking at an event: ✔️Be courteous ✔️Respect people’s boundaries ✔️Write down their contact info (phone, email, LinkedIn) ✔️Reach out to them later on Also, ❌Don’t force a conversation ❌Don’t barge in on people who are already interacting with each other ❌Don’t just talk to them and go back to ask their details again #networkingskills #networking #networkingevents #careerchange #jobsearching #jobinterviewtips #jobsearch #jobinterview #newjob #interviewtips #interviewready #interviewtip #interviewcoach #jobsearchtips #jobinterviews #parentsofnewgrads #newgrads #youngprofessionals #interviewcoaching #needajob #jobinterviewhelp #interviewhelp #jobchange #businessnetworking #newgraduates #firstjob #remotework #entrepreneur #networkingtips #jobtransition (at Trident, Hyderabad) https://www.instagram.com/p/CkiiitRSKsQ/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
